@@NoRegretsLifestyle well Paul, I’m dreaming with you. I’m hopeful that my current boat will make it fine through the rest of the Loop and then we will decide what size will be next. Downsize to maybe a 40 or roll up to a 55-60. We shall see, but the next one will have thrusters!
You have just proven to me why I should have pursued obtaining my captains license years ago instead of wasting my time on land pursuits! I joined the Navy for a reason, and none of my dreams came to fruition. I was assigned as a corpsman (medic) and spent the next 18 years with the Marines, which I truly loved, but it got me no nearer my goal. I learned how to drive tanks, operate radios, how to read a radar scope, how to shoot and operate many weapons (I shot rifle and pistol competitively at Quantico), most of all I learned how to lead a group of men regardless of service. I love boats and anything to do with boats, but now at the age of 72 I have the time (unfortunately not the money) to pursue my dreams. I want to own a LRC Trawler, and sail the Carribean to start, then on to the world!! Thanks Capt Paul, it's all your fault! LOL Fair winds my brother! I will be asking for your services when I can.
Yes, I too wish I started much younger, but it takes all these things to make a good Captain later in life. LOL I am sure there are a lot of people that hate me😉
I bet you could take that property management and manage short term rentals for one distance investors. Could make good money on that without any of the risk. Manage the property turns and any issues that come up.
Where I live on The Outer Banks , life is much like The Keys, biggest problem as you have encountered is housing, the next issue you are going to discover is the labor shortage , skilled handyman just are there in the numbers like they used to be. I had 14 employees and I'm down to 8 and more work than I can handle. Good Luck , lookin forward to your next video !
Unfortunately, it’s going to be a huge problem for years to come. Finding qualified health and labor is not easy but it always works out. Thank you so much for your support on UA-cam. I appreciate it over the years..❤️👍🏻🙏😉
Paul, another idea… if you could find a couple of affordable and nice pick up trucks and rent them on TURO or the like, I bet you could offset your slip rent by a lot. Just a thought - Good Luck!
Yes we actually started doing that before we left Gulf Shores, it did OK and might be something we look into here in the Keys. Thank you and keep the ideas coming. I will not be able to do this alone.
200.00 hour is pretty much minimum wage for a business owner these days, it’s why we cannot work for others. The place I work charges 5k a night to stay and they pay me 25.00hr. So we will need to start a few business and maybe even buy one or two as we learn and grow here in the Keys. 🙏👍🏻❤️😉
Thanks Erik for the kind words. I love you and good luck with all of your boating projects. Always nice to talk to you on the phone. Thank you so much for your love and support over the years. Love and peace brother.❤️👍🏻🙏😉
The ultimate dream a Fleming 65 I had the privilege of spending a couple days last summer with Tony and Venture What a individual What a yacht! 2 items My friend who introduced me to Tony just completed purchase of a Fleming 55 (2008 year model) He's taking delivery sometime next month on the east coast Secondly I just secured a 1 month Airbnb unit with a Canal slip for the month of April 2024 (north of Key West and airbase) Maybe I could run the boat up and me you in that time slot Anyway keep up the good work
Not enough Fuel, really takes 65’. But I will say this, there are cheaper boats in that range that can do the world, but at 7 knots. So we will see what happens.
IDEA: Do you want to double your patrons etc? Advertise, an offer exclusive to patron supporters a two week free cruise on the Fleming. If you did this once a year you would surly increase your base! Victoria, BC
He’s doing property management, working for a few company’s, his getting us a lay of the land, working on his commercial pool certificates as well. 🙏👍🏻❤️😉
@@NoRegretsLifestyle well, manifestation is a powerful tool and you have the skill set to make those businesses you mentioned a reality. Looking forward to watching you achieve your goal. 🙌🏻👏👍🏻
5.5 million, 250,000 a year to maintain plus other living expenses and raising all that money in 3 years? Of course I don't know anything about your current financial position or really anything about you other than watching some UA-cam video's but those seem like some pretty lofty goals but hell I'll keep watching to see how things turn out and wish you all the best in obtaining your goals. It's not impossible.
Brother, thank you. In life all we can do is set goals and standards and I don’t know why but I think I can do it. I will admit that I have to create my own luck for some of this, but I think it’s just investing my money correctly, and getting lucky, and even having the money in the first place to invest Brother I hope it happens but if it doesn’t, I’m OK with that too.❤️🙏👍🏻😉
We’ll time will tell, I believe it’s possible, 20 years ago what I have already accomplished yachting seemed out of touch. Today it just doesn’t seem like a lot of money.
Thanks so much for all your help, Paul. You have been awesome to work with & I can’t wait to train on that Ranger Tugs.
Thank you Brother, they are very cool boats, I am lucky to train you in one. Some of my smallest boats were my favorites.
Great video as usual. I lost my mom a month ago so definately know what you are feeling. Prayers.
Thank you, I was very close with my mom and enjoyed the time I spent with her over the last few years. ❤️🙏👍🏻😉
Great plan, exciting, loved Tony Fleming Venture videos. Fabulous photography. Beautiful boat!
He does an amazing job. He as also taken years to build the perfect boat to get the job done. 🙏👍🏻❤️😉
That's amazing that's my dream boat the 65 GOOD LUCK my friend 👍
Big Mike I think it’s a lot of people’s dream boat 🙏👍🏻❤️😉
Great to see you Paul! Doc in WPB
Thanks Doc, always glad to see your comments
The upkeep costs of those MANs compared to Lehman's is a consideration as well. You got this!
Yes we would be looking at probably somewhere around 250k to keep them properly maintained on around the world adventures

Big news! I like the PM company idea!!
Yes I think it will do very well my brother. 🙏👍🏻❤️😉
Lofty goals Pete, but without goals and dreams where are we? I'd like to cross paths and sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee. Keep the Faith.
Mike if you make it down to the Keys let me know, love to have that cup of tea my brother. 🙏👍🏻❤️😉

Good luck with your dreams. There is nothing wrong with dreaming as long as your reach isn’t out of hand.
$25/hr to $150
-200 is quite a jump.

I love my Fleming 58. I took delivery Apr 22.
Congratulations 🍾🎉🎊🎈 beautiful boat brother, stop by if you make it to the Keys
Paul....there are Fleming 55s on yachtworld, as I.m sure you know, that are in the 1 million range. Wouldn't those be world cruisers?
Not enough Fuel, really takes 65’. But I will say this, there are cheaper boats in that range that can do the world, but at 7 knots. So we will see what happens.

I don’t yet have a Fleming, so I can not do this. But today I did take a small group out for a wonderful day on the water😆
Where's Chief working?
He’s doing property management, working for a few company’s, his getting us a lay of the land, working on his commercial pool certificates as well. 🙏👍🏻❤️😉
Quite a jump from a $20k boat to $3 million.
Yes, I want to prove it can be done and I really want to do the world under my own keel

You seem like a nice guy and I wish you the best but dude, you are freaking delusional if you think that plan is going to result in a 65' Fleming.
