no wonder there are so many man made toxic materials...a degree in chemistry does not include any courses on the environment or toxicity. what a wake up call. thankful green chemist john warner's informative talk!

"We need to embrace that we don't know everything and accept that because of that lack of full knowledge, we don't know the downstream impacts of what we're doing and we should approach it with a bit more humility." - Green chemist John Warner at #Bioneers14 ua-cam.com/video/TL1zbAJIaDI/v-deo.html

Doctors don't study nutrition, chemists don't study toxicology and economists don't study money...

WELL SAID THE ONE WHO IS MAY BE MORE DAMAGING IS THE MEDICAL DOCTOR SINCE HE IS MEANT TO TAKE CARE OF HUMAIN BEING DIRECTLY ...,and he knows absolutely nothing about nutrition !!!

If only all scientists and chemists thought this way...

you're confusing corporations (and maybe engineers) with scientists.

Interesting the reaction of the audience to the subject solar energy. The first few folks clapped when he said that the average solar panels don't make the money back until they are like 7 years old. Those folks thought that this was now an argument against solar panels. And the clapping literally came from the right side of the auditorium. Then he said that with the new biological and green methods of making solar panels it will have huge efficiency and will be easy and safe to make. Only very few people, literally from the left side of the auditorium clapped and cheered. Good people. But most people in the audience were silent. The same folks who cheered with enthusiasm for the Alzheimer's medication were now silent. Why is that? Why don't we take a closer look at this and not gloss over it? Because this is the psychology of grandfalloonism. This is not to be ignored because it is the foundation, the medium with which the corporate agenda works on a daily basis. They utilize people's fear of what other people think of them. A study has revealed that when all other test participants vote for a specific color or formation that was shown to them and even give the wrong answer then around 40% of people vote for the same answer even if the answer is wrong. They vote the way the others voted no matter whether the answer was obviously wrong. What does this tell us? It tells us that a very large percentage of humans make decisions in their lives even against their own nature and nature in general, out of peer pressure, out of fear of what others might think of them. Most people do not want to stand out in any way even on cost of the well being of life in general. The fairy tale The Emperor has no clothes on is the perfect example of this scenario. The oil lobby has market psychologists like Richard Berman who have worked on the public since the 50s with great "success" to turn people against green energy and environmentalism. People it is time now to pay some attention here and not let the manipulators get away with this. Say No to having your brain washed or better yet, dirtied.

Daisy Cypress Tulipgarden And, and, and... ??? Yes, people didn't know how to respond about his solar comments. It wasn't *financial* payback time that he referenced, btw, but "energetic" payback time. And I think his estimate was high. Regardless, they do pay for themselves many times over during their lifespan both financially and energetically, so you're out of luck if you're 'anti-solar-panels'.

Michael Bender Mmmmm????? Please read my comment again. You completely misunderstood me. I am totally Pro Solar. My comment was directed to the granfalloonism of the public which is a bad thing. People need to become more aware of it and stop listening to the corporate propaganda. It is out of corporate propaganda that the majority did not clap for his solar panel technology. I love this guy John Warner very much. It's my fault. I should have stated that up front before complaining about the public.

I don't think this serves as a good example for granfalloonism. Granfalloonism is essentially adopting a shared social identity. I'm hard-pressed to say not everyone undergoes this, as I believe it to be a trait from our social evolution. Nonetheless, great phenomenon. But because I state the grandness that is a granfalloon, I don't think it is a good strategy to aim at the brainwasher. I want to suggest to everyone to hone your own thinking; be aware and mindful. We are awesomely adept at creating realities for ourselves with our confirmation-bias, our granfalloons.

I know this may sound odd.... but, wouldn't this same scrutiny be useful in the line of community policing?
