Thank you again for a video with relevant information :)
Our pleasure!
Excellent content. Everything that is important to know on a first trip to Spain, objectively. The maps and animations always help a lot! You are indispensable for anyone going to Spain. Great video‼️
Thank you, Yara!
Going to Spain for the first time in about 2 weeks! Only staying in Barcelona and doing day trips but I’m super excited! This channel has been super helpful and I really appreciate all the work and research put into the videos!! Thank you!! :)
Delighted to hear that! Do not miss our long list of videos dedicated to Barcelona here ua-cam.com/play/PLWH9E2sQGItraqaaJ6RsAzJxlDo2_SEiX.html
Ola Tony! I love when your videos pop up. Thanks for all the referral videos to watch! 😀👍
Great to hear that, Michell!
Your videos are just remarkable. I am planning to return to Spain after being away for 40 years, and the changes are incredible. I was wondering if you have these videos in Spanish? I am sure many folks would like to brush up on the language while watching your amazing content. Also I am sure there are folks who don't speak English that would benefit from them as well.
Thank you for your words, Michael. Check out this other channel of ours ua-cam.com/users/EspañaTotal
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal ¡Eso es fabuloso! ¡Muchas gracias!
Thanks Tony , your videos are greatly appreciated and informative.
Hi Rick, delighted to hear that!
Just got back from our first trip to Spain. Your suggestions were spot on. Thank you for the great videos and answers to my questions over the past few months.
Hope you had a great time, Kristen!
Another excellent video Tony. You are are forgiven for not having a Mountjuic walking tour guide yet!!
We have been planning our late June 2024 trip for a couple of months now and even with classics around like Rick Steeves I think your productions have had the greatest impact on our plans by far. Your graphics are very good. As is the editing. Also the cadence and enunciation of your English is very good. This looks like an excellent choice for a second career later in life. You and your wife are doing Spain (and Portugal) a great service. I only hope we can find such good advice when we go to another European country.
For our first trip we will arrive in Madrid for 7 days including 2 day trips, then take the fast train to Barcelona for another 5 days with 1 day trip. We will for sure provide you feedback on your walking tour guides when we get back.
Much appreciated. Keep up the good work.
You can't imagine how much we appreciate your compliments! Your first trip sounds like a very reasonable one.
Yes! The cities outside Madrid such as Salamanca, Segovia , Avila, Toledo are all incredible! I attended university in Salamanca so most of my time was spent there.
Indeed!
Thanks
I'm going to be on my first visit to Spain next month. I am including only Barcelona and Madrid..... next time I want to go to Sevilla and Valencia!
Wise choice for your first trip!
Bon Dia, can I use the hola Barcelona card in all zones? Merci Tony.
My last trip to Spain, I flew out of Madrid and caught my flight home on the same day I left Valencia. Needless to say it was pretty stressful and this trip I’m spending 2 nights in Madrid, after a week in Malaga, before I fly home. Lesson learned 😅😊
Yes, people are not aware of the amount of stress involved in those same day connections.
Hello Tony, thanks for all your insightful videos. I will be visiting Portugal and will be spending sometime in Lisbon, Albufeira and Porto. I would love to make a trip to Spain and was wondering which of these cities in Portugal will be easier to travel from to Spain. Thanks
Hi Lydia, this video of ours might help ua-cam.com/video/NS9AocaBuxQ/v-deo.html
Hola Tony- Your channel is great and so helpful.... thank you. We're planning our first trip to Spain with Madrid, Grenada, Nerja, and Seville on our itinerary. We'll fly into Madrid and spend 5 nights/4 days and then are planning to take the train to Grenada for 2 nights/days, take a local bus to Nerja for 2 nights/days, then another bus to Seville for 4 nights/days, and fly back to the States from Seville. We don't have to return to Madrid. Does this itinerary sound feasible? How about the local bus service from Grenada to Nerja to Seville? Is that a reasonable way to go? Thank you very much in advance for any guidance or suggestions you can provide.

Hi! I appreciated your work, you help us during our trip in April. We did Porto, Cascai and Lisbon. Thanks for your tips. Inhave a question. We are planning to go in Spain next year. We heard all kind of comment regarding tourist in Spain, they are not welcome. Just need to know if this is bad or we can plan and go? Thanks both of you
Hi Claude, there is a strong movement in Spain, Portugal and many other countries around the world, against the excesses of over tourism. But tourists are more than welcome in Spain, the situation is not different from that in Portugal.
Hi Tony
Thank you for your videos very informative
My husband & myself going to Spain first time both of us are seniors 70 & 62.
We like train travel am hoping to do 12-14 days
We can land in Madrid or Barcelona? We would like to visit San Sebastian, Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Malaga & a few days in Marbella - then need to fly home to Australia from Madrid or Barcelona
Using the train network what order should we do the trip in?
Thank you

Hi, We heard there is cabin crew strike of some union for Vueling, we have a flight booked on 8th May, is going to affect badly and should we consider changing thw flight? So far its not cancelled.
Could you let us know if its going to affect all flights on vueling from BCN to Paris?
We have no idea, you will have to check with Vueling themselves.
