Dan Vasc, purposely decided not to sign the recording contract, because he wanted full control over what he does, with a contract he looses the full control. Dan does his recordings out of his home studio, and does his videos in his garage in Brazil. Dan is the best male vocalist on youtube hands down. You want to hear a Epic scream by Dan, than I recommend his cover of Iron Maidens Number Of The Beast.

Dan(iel) Vasc(oncelos) is a Brazilian singer with extensive training in both classical and metal singing techniques. He can (truly!) sing just about anything, in any range and in any style. He has the most beautiful, most expressive, and most versatile male voice I've heard in many years, with power and charisma to burn (and I’m a long-time opera lover). He sings anything that appeals to him, from folk (Loch Lomond, Scarborough Fair), to ballads (The Last Goodbye), to Disney cartoons (I'll Make a Man Our of You, Beauty and the Beast duet), to musical theater (try The Music of the Night), to 80s covers (lots of Bon Jovi and Journey- try Faithfully), to opera (Nessun Dorma); his real love, however is metal and hard rock - . In addition to his classical side, my favorite Dan songs are his own "metalized" arrangements of non-metal songs, which really showcase his creativity and musical wizardry. If you're a Witcher fan, all his versions are great, especially Burn Butcher Burn and The Song of the White Wolf, both terrific in totally different ways; he also does both a metal and non-metal version of Priscilla's Song, and Toss a Coin to Your Witcher (good, but my least favorite). Other metalized songs are his versions of I'll Make a Man out of You (from Mulan, highly recommended), A Kiss from a Rose (duet, of Seal's song), Adele's Rolling in the Deep, several Christmas songs (my favorite is Angels We Have Heard on High), the stunning Amazing Grace, and his latest, a remake of Celine Dion's lovely but weepy My Heart Will Go On, which he turns on its head. It's fabulous. One final note - Dan and his symphonic power metal band Fearless have a terrific album, Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom. You can see them in the videos Tale with No End, from the album, or Dawn of Victory, a Rhapsody cover with Fabio Lione. They were offered at least one contract, but Dan decided that the terms were both too exploitative and too restrictive, so he turned it down and started his solo career on UA-cam. He's now almost reached his goal of 1 million subscribers, all on his own - no manager, no agent, no publicity person, no video director or editor, no audio engineer. Absolutely perfectly sung and performed. It couldn't be better. Best metal singer with a fantastic variety of voices in every genre. I dont blame him for turning his back on the industry contract. Keeping only 17?% of the proceeds for doing all his own hard work is a ridiculous deal. Going independent is a no brainer! (Even though it does take longer to get noticed). I subscribed to his channel after the first verse of his new to me song started, & couldnt hit the like button hard enough. I've been addicted to his music ever since, including his very own music from his very own band called Fearless.
This Gethsemane song is one of the songs i loathed until zi heard & saw Dan performing it. Now i actually love it.

Dan is the best. He has a 4 octave range I've heard and is a performer besides a singer. (He's actually more of a tenor than a bass )

Thanks for your great reaction to this incredible performance by Dan Vasc. This one is just an example of the range, emotion and amazing vocal skills of this artist. He is 34 years old and records and films all of his videos in his garage studio in Brazil. He arranges and mixes most of his videos and has quest musicians and sometimes his bandmates, Fearless, that perform with him, I believe the only instrument he plays is harmonica. His favorite genre of music is symphonic power metal and rock and roll. He is classically trained and has a 4 octave range. His natural singing voice is tenor but he can sing low baritone and skyrocketing melodic screams. His cover of Amazing Grace is considered by most as the greatest cover of that song. His newest one is a reimagining of My Heart Will Go On and he transforms that song in a powerful up tempo way. He has many great covers of classic '80's rock that are awesome. Gethsemane is one of my favourites of him as it shows not only his incredible voice, but his acting too. The best interpretation of Gethesmane was by Camilo Sesto. Very famous singer from Spain. Andrew Lloyd Webber stated that it was the best interpretation of the song.
