Gen David petraeus is a brilliant, strategic and professional commander, i remember the war in Iraq and Afghanistan his role he played and influences, well led although when he retired his theoretic analysis and military terms standpoint has deeply inspired me, accurately the way he described everthing, thank for offering such amazing interviews, for me its crucial things lining on geopolitical crisis and military issues, so subscribed it, thank you.
Great Conversation with Gen P. He has always been a clear thinker and speaker and he is as honest and open as a person in his position can be. Great guest.
The Issue of Asian Unity appears to be something that Western Leaders ignore. The concept of trade among Eastern Europe and the Producer Nations of Asia, as they begin to work with Africa and Latin America, seems a bit difficult to overlook? The G-7 Nations all represent former Colonial Empires that used to be able to exploit their Colonial Possessions. .BRICS appears to represent the Colonies as they now resist exploitation. That is the issue that Western Investors appear to overlook?
He undoubtedly has great analysis and expertise. But I believe he is missing the elephant in the room: the big question is why do we have to be everywhere in the world? Why not look inwards and develop our own economy, education, research, and technology?
If the US is not everywhere, the regional powers will emerge, so with the time they will do everything they can to not trade in dollar. Less the world 🌎 trades in $ , the less the US is economically politically and militarily powerful, that's why US has to be everywhere.
Yes the general is a smooth talker after all he is American. The majority of the world are now use to smooth empty talk which is only really directed at the American audience. Those of us (the majority) in the Global South have turned our attention to the very live alternative in the BRICS nation and other positive institutions for change. So we can listen to the general without taking much of what he is saying seriously.
I think you use the term 'positive institutions' a little loosely. The US has plenty of faults, but I assure you if Russia or China had that level of dominance the world would be a much worse place. China has diet concentration camps and both Russia and China are ruled by autocratic cults of personality. India has a large chunk of its population living in abject poverty
The likes of Rtd Gen Patraeus and co, need to come out of retirement and end this war in Ukraine that Pootin started. Thank you for uploading and sharing.
✅Thanks for spending the time to create and share this content 🙏🏾
Great talk very infomative. Gen. Petraeus is an amazing mind and a great leader. I wish there were more like him.
"The US trying to leave the Middle East is a little bit like Michael Corleone trying to leave the mafia" -- great analogy!

The key word “ as he can be” which he can’t be much of .
Thanks

The Global South is almost as big of a joke as the idea of a BRIC currency.
The BRICS couldn't organize a piss up in a pub
