Domaine de Pignan, Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2009, France, wine review

Every Sunday Tom Cannavan of wine-pages.com chooses a new wine of the week. For 24th May 2015 the Chateauneuf-du-Pape from Domaine de Pignan in the Rhone Valley is his Wine of the Week. A stunning, mature Chateauneuf that reminds me of the great Chateau Rayas, with mellow aromas and a beautiful palate of fruit, spice and tobacco-tinged maturity.

I am in the UK and pricing is different, and this review is 7 years old, but £20 and $49 US a few years later sound in the right ballpark.
