So glad you interviewed Peter Russell. He's one of my favorites in the vesica piscis between consciousness and science - a truly great thinker. Good questions, too. It helped that you were so prepared. I'd like to suggest, however, that we don't know that all other species are not self-aware. I suggest we'll find it in dolphins, whales & elephants as well as possibly even higher intelligence. Our inability to communicate with them prevents us from making such conclusions - the more fool us.
i have experienced through my life many things , and see that 'thought fastens itself to matter' .... therefore all reality starts with a ' thought'...... and thoughts can be changed, which inevitably changes the experience.....
I love to listen to Peter Russell. He has a beautiful mind. Maybe a suggestion for the interviewer: The questioning and interplay very much made me fell as though I was watching a psychologist elicit thoughts and feelings from his patient. It was a bit off-putting. Other than that, great interview. Thanks for sharing.
Two things, is every atheist an ex-Christian? and are there any sane minded people that listens to this man that believes he was a scientist? I love how he expresses the difference between stress versus meditation?????????
Spiritualism is fine but unfortunately it is often a refuge for ignorrance. A lot of people jump right into the cozy feeling of mysticism without taking the time to find out what we have actually learned about the world.
One of the great guys on this planet.
Thanks. I interviewed Peter early this year - 2012. He's as warm off camera as on.

I noticed your comment. A book worth reading, possibly, is "The Mystic Heart" by Wayne Teasdale.
Greg Braydons' got more hair but apart from that they both rock
