I would feel so bad for the flyers if Sofia replaced them. But in 2018-2019 season, SOFIA WAS THE BACKBONE OF THE ELITE SECTION!!! She’s such a clean, energetic flyer!
It's funny, last night I got hurt and called security for an ice pack, and I said to them "honestly we get hurt enough that maybe people will take our sport seriously!"
I think it’s just because on how it used to be portrayed like it’s just kicks and pomp poms and pretty girls in short skirts making out with the football players... but the sport is so much more and deserves actual recognition and representation....
I’m a dancer and I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It’s a connective tissue disorder that causes hypermobility and can cause frequent dislocations. I’ve dislocated things more than I can count. Chimmy might have something similar if she keeps dislocating things. Especially since when the paramedic asked “Did you feel it pop?” and she said no. The popping is usually a ligament tearing, but if you have a connective tissue disorder, the ligaments don’t usually tear, they just overstretch so that the joint slips out of place. It’s super weird.
I really want to see Chimmy and Angelina both perform together. They’ve both been on Smoed together since 2014 and they were the 2 gym babies of smoed 💕😍 They rarely got screen time when they were on smoed for 4 years.
Chimmy is on reckless though. The preview showed 3 smoed returners/alternates and one of them being Sofia. So yeah not in correlation hope chimmy heals but brining back Sofia wouldn’t affect her. Not the same team
If reckless doesn’t get their bid then tbh Varsity should just give them an “honorary” bid like they do w college degrees bc they were back to back champs😂

Last year I was on a y3 team and it was a few months before the summit (worlds for 5r and under) and we where in triple handsprings and I hear a crack, My wrist was swollen and my hand was numb. I’ve been cheering for 10 years and I’ve been doing triples for 6 years my coaches thought I was being over dramatic because I’ll admit I am a little dramatic. The next day my dad took me to the hospital and it was broken. I had to have surgery because the break was so bad. I was out for 6 weeks. Edit: we won summit

I’m from England, if you broke a thumb, or dislocated it, you would never ever ever get an ambulance. They would probs laugh at you, and wouldn’t turn up for 2 days. That’s free health care though. I hope C is ok xx
Bobby did, and someone pointed it out to the coaches. I think because Chimmy’s injury was more serious, the cameras were more focused there and they didn’t show any of the coaches checking on him.
If Sofia comes back, I truly feel like she would take malieyas spot as center just because she’s THE Sofia Angelo. That girl has the best flying technique out of all the smoed flyers rn

I know this episode was about Chimmy getting hurt, and the paramedics were there for her, however I think Enrique shouldve gotten checked out too at the hospital because he could’ve gotten a concussion even though he said he was fine. You never know though because symptoms could’ve developed later for him.
I'm concerned because I feel like cheering nowadays is just about doing harder routines every time and there are soo many injuries happening I hope they are all okay

Idk about other gyms, but at mine theres a list a mile long of people they can call for their worlds teams for quick fill ins

I do cheer and I’ve had to have a shoulder reconstruction because of it due to flyers coming down on me so they don’t hit the floor
