@@leonardo9259It’s only a tool for people trying to find their maximum weekly volume or for people who have messed up their recovery temporarily. If you’re reloading every 6 fucking weeks you’re doing too much in your sessions. The RP guys promote deloads like crazy and it’s one of their dumbest doctrines.
@@leonardo9259 then you're not going hard enough. the whole idea is that you're doing consistent hard progressive overload training for 3-6 weeks, and by the end of that your systemic fatigue has built up (especially since in that last week you're probably hitting failure pretty much every set). so you take a week where you still lift, but way less volume and probably less frequency. so your whole body can catch up and recover. then the next week start building up again from RPE7-8 again. or are you one of those people who thinks recovery isnt all that important and just keep slamming out the same weight in partial ego reps in the gym and brag about how you never get sore anymore?
Honestly the storytelling you manage every single video is just amazing and you're only getting better at it. Really brightens my day when these come out. Thanks Jack.
Man been sick for a month and injured my ribcage from all the coughing so now I'm on codeine painkillers for a couple weeks. Missing the gym for nearly 2 months has made me depressed so thanks for the humour while I wait and recover. I'll just think of this as an extended deload and embrace my inner 'fat Thor'
Was hoping for a Dick del Hagen cameo with the famous "More is more" to contrast with the deload philosophy, maybe it will pop up in another video Great work as usual, keep it up!
I wish you posted this gem like a little over 2 weeks ago when I sprained my back after a hard training block with basically no deload xD could have saved my back there
It's often better to take a light week than "rest until it's good" I tweaked my back at work doing basically nothing and thought I was done for, didn't do any lifting for a solid week and it still hurt. I went and did some light, easy high rep RDLs and the pain was completely gone.
Ive been watching the renaissance periodization guy I Don't body build or anything just light workouts but the humor is amazing. you guys have me dying laughing
About 2 times I have felt nervous system overload to a degree, where my body would build up pressure in my head and once I was done with my set, I had headaches that didn’t leave any time I used excessive force. Horrible feeling.
Could someone explain how to do this deload properly? For example, how with the weights. Do I drop the weights and then continue their progressive overload until they become too heavy again?
If you are new to lifting, you probably don't need to deload. If you feel beat up and sore, a little difficult to fall asleep, haven't been able to add a rep or weight on your lifts, you need a deload week. I usually use half my working weights and half my sets for a week, sleep a little more, eat a little more and light cardio...or take whole week off completelywhen I need it...I come back stronger after the easy week.
@@joecowan3719 I trained 5 times a week hard for 3 months. Then the training started to go badly and the energy ran out in 20 minutes. Then I took 2 days off and 3 days light, so since then the training has gone well and the energy has not run out. Thanks for the answer
Deload ❌ load Dbol ✅
A new JackPGM video makes my deload week a lot more tolerable
Lets imagine lifting some heavy ass weighs together with jack
the older I get the longer my deload is, right now my entire year is a ratio of 100% deload and 0% load
Keep grinding brother
Need that full% deload
I don't let myself look at lifting memes unless I've worked out in the last 48 hours
Thanks to Dr. Mike Ive started deloading like half a year ago, thats such a gamechanger
How ?
Rumor has it this dude has been deloading ever since
I've never seen the appeal of it

Perfect timing. I just hit that burnout point last week so this is my deload week. Just what I needed to inspire me to keep up the deload.
Just done watching one of the old ones and then this gem shows up.. So keen to watch this..
After three weeks of no gym, I think it’s finally time for me to get back into it. Thanks Jack, most motivational man on UA-cam
It Just Never STOPS. The JackPGM well of workout brilliance is apparently inexhaustible, nay, unending…like my deload.
Can't believe Jack uploaded this during my deload, what a hero

This is without a doubt, one of the best videos you’ve put out in a while. 👌
As countless of others have said; your videos really do bring us joy. Had a bad-ish day at work today but seeing your videos is always enjoyable =)
Thor with the unenthusiastic "Yeah buddy" was delightful
Was hoping for a Dick del Hagen cameo with the famous "More is more" to contrast with the deload philosophy, maybe it will pop up in another video
Great work as usual, keep it up!
More like Deload Weak, lightweight babeeeey!
Just kidding, recover guys. Great video as always my man, take my Thunfisch.

Deload weeks will now consist of watching this video daily
Dude. I can’t stop replaying the Thor and Tom platz ending
You always nail it with the music
Time for the gym ❤
"nervous system overload" was expertly executed
Lmfao the Poatan KO of Hill 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Literally was just considering a deload after I felt like shit in this weeks training cycle so far and feeling pains in joints.
Dude your editing has improved so much

I just keep going until one day I don't feel like doing it. Then I start again the next day. Works every time.

That was epic!

"You've to live it"
my deload week: when I have exam from Uni
(ony if its 2 or more exams on the same week)
Could you make a video on Jo aesthetics (sort of like a tribute video)?
Also you should do a Meme Experience for Denis Cyplenkov, Devon, Levan etc
Every six weeks seems to be the sweet spot for me. 6 on, 1 off.
powerlifting deload is just a normal training week with like rpe 4-5 and reduced volume
This video its relax end energy!.
3:17 milk all over my keyboard
Banger after banger. #Deload4lyfe
5:56 Now you're going to tell me the wacky shit in Baki is actually true?!!!

Rest in peace john Meadows
I am giddy at Tom Stoltman memes
This was a great Deload, time to max ohp
