@@AABackyard Just opened a bottle of the Vineco Du-Pape on 17.7.21..Very smooth, was'nt quite sure what the end result would be. Definately do again👌 Good video's
Thanks for this wonderful video. I love wine and love to make it at home. But fermentation of fruit or juice, ie the manufacture of home wine, produces toxic alcohol. Is methanol harmful? Thanks, please explain.
Methanol is harmful, but when homebrewing beer, wine, cider, or mead, typically you do not find any, or very little, methanol in your brew. The quantities you may find are very, very small and produce no adverse side effects at that concentration. However, if you are distilling alcohol to make hard liquor/spirits, if there is any methanol in your brew, it can become dangerous because you may increase the concentration of methanol by reducing the total volume of liquid. This is why there are so many regulations around distilling your own hard liquor/spirits.
Since it's about a year ago, I'm wondering did you may try any of the Winexpert Kit wine you made recently? If yes, how much did it aged in the bottles?
Just brewing a Vineco Estate Series, Du-Pape.....After watching your video can't wait to taste when ready😊
Super exciting! Let us know how it turns out.

We have not tried any in about six months! It had definitely improved when we last opened bottles. We'll try some soon and post an update!
