The "sweating" is due to condensation on the cold fondant in a warm, humid room (like the water drops on a glass of ice water on a hot day). You could put the fondant in the refrigerator for a while after demolding to slow the transition between freezer and room temperature. Then bring it to room temperature in front of a fan to evaporate the condensation.

I started decorating cakes in my 20's (for my son's birthday cakes) and it was my career within a year :) I started teaching and professionally do cakes at that time.
It's a decoration--they do not eat them any more than they eat the bows or other external decorations on a cake. But in case someone inadvertently does take a bite (like a child), it won't break a tooth or make them sick.
i have tried using the marshmallow fondant. froze it as you instructed but as it was exposed in the air, moisture begins to accumulate that it is hard to apply color to its head, cheeks and the rest of the body. kindly advice me on how to solve this problem. I have an upcoming christening project that i need this baby fondants for.
If your room temperature is warm and humid, you will get condensation on the cold fondant (like condensation on the outside of a glass of ice water). Just let the fondant come to room temperature and the condensation evaporate before dusting with color.
You put the mold in the freezer to firm up the fondant so the features do not get destroyed when unmolding the figure. The fondant does not need to be frozen or refrigerated after that.
The condensation is caused by the humidity. If you can cool the room (which lowers humidity) or dehumidify it by another method, it will not form as much moisture.
The mold can be used in temps up to 450 F. But you can unmold the clay (best to freeze the mold with clay for 20 minutes first) then let the clay come to room temp then bake only the clay.
@ElizahSaudburn Most extracts contain humectants (that help products retain moisture) so they do not dry as quickly as spirit-based products. You could use them though if you wanted an alternative.
The mushroom is a petal dust for decoration pieces only--not a food color. We carry the mushroom petal dust on our website. Just type "mushroom" in the search box. We have 4 left--after those, it is being discontinued.
@3poppyseeds Press down firmly on fondant when putting in mold. Be sure to leave in the freezer about 20 minutes and do not touch the fondant when you remove from mold--just pull opposite directions on the sides of the mold to remove it.

Hello just after some advice. I tried your method and it worked perfectly, the only problem I had was that the fondant sweated after I removed it from the mold. Any suggestions on how to avoid this as now my baby was a little slimy and once dried still a little sticky??
Incredible! I don't understand why anyone would give this a thumbs down. The term ( flesh-tone ) I would hope there are different one's for us to use for clients, are there? Thanks.
I love these, I have to make these for a shower, and having trouble with the curled up baby. When I put the fondant/gumpase ball into the mold and then after time in freezer the butt area dose not come out right. There is that little piece in the mold that seems to keep moving on me. Any suggestions?
If by templates you mean molds, the molds are available at the website in the description below the video or directly from the webpage linked in the video at 1:40, 4:46, and 8:21 (minutes:seconds).
Hello ,, thank you so much for your great job .. I read all the comments below so I won't look like an idiot repeating the same question .. I actually have one concern .. After making the babies can I put them back in the refrigerator ? Cuz u know I'll be making a quite big number .. What is the best way to preserve them before the event ?
This is great thank you so much can these ideaas. Can these be added to both Royal Icing as well as buttercream icing cupcake? I have a Baby Shower coming up and these would be ideal. I will be visiting your website to buy some of the molds
My wife and I love watching your videos. As an individual with cinematography background, i would suggest a better recording giving your viewers the option to watch your videos in a higher quality.
If you type in "silicone mat" this mat comes up on the second page. You either have to click on the "2" at the bottom of the page or click "view all." Or you can search by its item # 43-3699.
Hay un enlace en la parte final del vídeo (y un par de otros lugares en el video) para los elementos utilizados en el video. Puede ordenar los moldes en ese enlace. Asegúrese de seleccionar el envío de USPS para el método más barato de envío.
how do I prevent them from sweating I took them out to decorate and about a minute later it started sweating. also after decorating what storing do you suggest for the babies back in freezer?
+Keila Reyna You can have a fan blowing across them as they come to room temperature to help evaporate the condensation. Fondant does not need to be refrigerated or frozen. You can store them in a sealed container.
How could you store the babies if you only had one or two moulds? Could you place them in a big container in the fridge or freezer for days while you made the rest? That way I can make a bunch for cupcakes in a two week period and then decorate them all at once
Yes, we ship to most countries. You can follow the link here for the items used in the video. During checkout, be sure to notice there are 2 shipping tabs/pull-downs--UPS and USPS (US Postal). In most cases, international packages under 4 lbs. will be MUCH less expesive via USPS (US Postal). www.winbeckler.com/Fondant-Babies-Tools-Used-In-Video-c1434.htm
Você pode apenas ir para o link que é publicado três vezes no vídeo. Nós enviamos internacional. Certifique-se notar que há dois métodos de envio - USPS é geralmente muito menos dispendioso para este item.

I have made this babies with gumpaste before and I made the babies today using 50% gumpaste and 50% fondant, will it take to long to get hard? Thank you so much for your answer :-)

Can you also use gel food color to to the hair or not? Also a rose gel food color for the cheeks and such. Thanks
It's harder to get a soft coloring with gel colors. It looks more "painted on."

Thanks for sharing I saw these cute little babies before, now I know how they were made !!

Oh that is so adorable! I'm not sure I'd want to fuss with fondant, but maybe little ice sculptures for winter births or with chocolate.

This is probably the coolest baking thing I have ever seen

Thanks for reading the other comments first. Fondant does not need refrigerated so you do not need to store them in the refrigerator.
Most fondants have a "use by" date on them, which is often about a year after manufacture.
No, this is not the Ateco mat; but yes, that mat can be cut smaller than the 24" x 24" that it comes in.

What colors did you use for the hair and body
TIENES UNAS ABILIDEDES EN TUS MANOS DIOS TE BENDIGA GRANDEMENTE Y A TU ESPOSO TANBIEN BENDICIONES
I would use a mixture of yellows, oranges, and browns for a blonde (mostly yellow). You can soften the yellow with cornstarch or powdered sugar.

For the person who asked whether this mold can be used with candy, the answer is yes. It can be used with candy, fondant, isomalt/sugar, etc.
There is a webpage linked 3 times during the video or our main website is in the description below the video.
It is just light blue fondant textured with a texture mat then cut with the scalloped wheel of a pastry wheel.
Aww these babies are so cute, and those molds are fantastic! You did a great job, and cute vid! :D

@TheLyanca Yes, it's on our site--Cosmos (pink) and Cinnamon.

By kneading in a small amount of flesh-tone paste food color to the fondant. Brown paste food color will often work too.
Where can I buy the moulds from please. They are so cute ;)

Gracias por sus tutoriales lo aprecio muchisimo
We do ship worldlwide but some countries have less reliable postal systems so we cannot be responsible for lost shipments to those countries.
does the fondant not sweat after getting them out of the freezer due to temp diff?
After taking out of the freezer, you need to let any condensation dry before adding more color or details.
