Anybody remember the all lexan 2 car in circle magizine bad to the bone .i remember going to larry shaw race cars from fla to pick up our new late model mark rolled out from the rear of a car he was working on to say hi .he made a big impression on a kid from fla. good times .wonder if mark remembers the straight 6 ford nelson bros with dave breakfield driving .i think mark tired it out at sunshine speedway. All those great drivers hitting all the short tracks in the all pro cars .some of the best short track racing i ever seen . Good stuff.
The Steel Valley 200 at Sharon Speedway in Hartford Ohio was a Marquee event for asphalt late models all through the decade of the 70's ..... Rusty , Trickle , Senneker , Ridley , Joe Shear , Jerry Makara ... You get the idea , a who's who event.... Was Mark ever there ??? Can't recall 🤔 ... Anybody ???

I like Mark. He was very good. He was not number 1 ranked, mostly. A lot of great racers were there. Mark had 40 wins, Rusty had 55, for example.

Gotta wonder if Mark had switched from Roush Racing to Yates if he would have won a few more cars and maybe a championship
