I've Never Tried This Technique, And It Does Not Disappoint!

This was the channel's first video and I really wanted to show you what this channel is all about. I love geography and maps and wanted to showcase this in Designed By HS's first video.
I created a map of the British Isles made out of 6 different woods to represent the isles. Apologies if I missed anyone's island off, the laser cutter doesn't do very well with tiny pieces, it tends to burn them.
The countries:
England (Where I'm from): Sapele
Wales: Yew
Scotland: North American Hard Maple
Northern Ireland: Black Walnut
Ireland: English Oak
Isle of Man: Spalted Beech

Hi Harry this was a interesting video I enjoyed watching you use your laser to do the map of Great Britain hanging, it was interesting watching you cutting the map out. The different woods you used were nice and they all had lovely grain and markings and colourings. Well done from Amanda xx

I have the same laser. I've only cut red cedar and pine as far as solid wood goes. It's quite impressive how it can cut 19mm wood even if it takes a couple of passes. I mostly use it for photo engraving on slate though
