I stopped using cash for most things back in the late 90s, but I'll admit there are still many people out there that still use it. Many lower income people don't even have checking accounts or credit cards.
The kiosk doesn't take cash because it's not built to hold cash. If he can't figure out how to go to the counter to pay cash, he's not to smart. Anyway, cash is on its way out. By this time next decade, the younger generation might not even know what cash is.
I'd agree with him to a certain degree. But people think Mcdonalds is some sort of family restaurant with good service. Like no, you go in their to get fast and tasty food. Quite cheap and it fills you up. Often teenagers work these jobs to keep the food cost low. As I always say, you get what you pay for. And to be fair they could be a little bit nicer in some restaurants, but it all varies on the location.
A few months ago I went to a McDs for lunch with a coworker. Similar age to the guy in the video. He had an absolute shit-fit because they didn't have someone at the register to take his order. We had to leave because they were probably going to call the police since he was being such a baby about it.
When I worked in grocery I used to deal with a lot of guys around the age of the guy in the video. Let me tell you, they were almost always trouble. I could tell just by looking at them what we were going to have to deal with. I guarantee the guy in the video drives a truck and probably road rages as well. 😆
Wait...they charged you to use your debit card? And yes I have had places ask if I want my change. Even if it is only a penny, the answer is always YES.
I think you missed the point. There is a option on the kiosk at checkout that you can pay at register if you are paying cash or don't trust a machine with your card. If you are worried about there not being cash transactions anymore, think about this. We don't barter anymore either, you can't take a 50 pound sack of salt to a merchant and exchange it for an equal amount of goods and the country has not fallen apart. Just relax Bro, it will be ok.😉
People who have situations where cash is their only payment option for McDonald's are low value people who do not receive any significant respect from me and other fellow competent humans.
Sorry but it's not that simple. What if you have coupons? What if you use the app but can't pay using plastic only cash? I don't want to pay the full menu price I want the deals that are not on the kiosk.

I have actually seen homeless drug addicts paying with debit cards.

Yes, he is mad because he can't pay with dirty green paper. 😆

I’ll never go to McDs again. How rude to charge for debit card use or to ask for remaining change. Goodbye McDonald’s!

You can customize ingredients on the kiosk as well, or just let the person at the counter know about your request. Either works.

Exactly. Next time I go to McDonald's I'm going to try and pay for my food with a large bag of sugar or maybe even bottle caps. 😆@@ILovePoop

You can get deals on the kiosk as well. For example a 2 for $5 deal.
They are moving to digital coupons. You can order from your phone.
