Most fishermen would be too scared and or unwilling to do this when they go fishing. How far would you go to land a big fish? Fishing big mullet and HUGE topwater plugs, me and my man @AbenzFishing hit the water in search of some huge predators feeding on giant baits. This video documents two days of fishing where we do some crazy stuff to land some giants!

At the Brede river in South Africa we commonly have Bull sharks from 200g to 300kg, I've seen some massive buggers
The world record is held in the Brede at 4m approx 450- 500kg
They tracked her for 48 hours and her most common activity was to visit fishing boats and bank angling position. As in a patrol
There's always hundred of people in that river kayaking, swimming, knee-deep pumping prawns. It's insane how lackadaisical we are around these sharks despite very regular sightings. Average day you always see two or three. We aren't allowed to target the bulls anymore sadly. Was a lot of fun

Same type of fishing as for black bass in the lakes in Northern Ontario Canada. The only difference is we use cast and retrieve with lures. Where the similarity comes into play, is putting your bait almost on top of the fishes head or close enough to a certain target, to get the fish's attention. I REALLY have to go FISHING!!!😁👍🙏🙏🙏

Why uses this guy a Van Staal from a boat? That's why! Awesome video Ryan, I also go for a swim to catch a good fish, even had to dive down to free fish a few times, twice so far I had to unhook a fish underwater and swim with it in my hand back to shore cause I couldn't get the line untangled

Nice jacks. You could of put the breaks or at least slowd down the first jack and not allowed it to go under the dock. Seems like you set that up to test your water proof reel. I put the breaks on a bigger jack then that with a 550SS, pretty sure a vsx2 200 has way more drag. Tighten your drag, no need to let it run like that, once they gain speed they are harder to slow down. I get it though it makes for a better video. I just get annoyed at the theatrics of a lot of UA-cam fishermen. If it broke you off it would of been dragging mad line behind it, which is bad for the fish and could kill it, if it got hung up.

I caught a 30" 10lb 4oz spotted Sea trout on a 10 inch black mullet....he hit it two times before grabbing it....I was patient.
I would literally freak out if I caught a sea trout that big

Epic day. What is the specs on rod, reel and line.
I believe it’s a G Loomis E6X inshore, mag heavy, 3/4 oz - 6 oz, 8ft moderate fast.
Reel is a van Staal X2, assuming the 200 size.
If I had to guess, 30-50lb braid, with it being white it could be Berkeley x9 but that’s an up in the air guess for me.
Line is 40lb spider wire ultra cast, homie was correct on the rod and reel ^

When I was 12 I was watching a group of old black women catching mullet. Easily catching them and I couldn’t catch a one. Finally trying to save face I yanked as hard as a 12 year old could and all I had on the hook was a set of mullet lips. I quickly looked around to see if anyone else had seen and threw the mullet lips or whatever they are called back into the river. Never tried to catch a mullet again.
