Thank You Sir! I purchased the Magpul BEV block recently. It combines the reaction rod and mag block. Last year I purchased the Borka Torque Driver Combo. It has a wide torque range and works well on scope rings etc. 👍🇺🇸 #22aday
Oh man, I got this one not too long ago…. Can’t believe I went so long without one. Highly recommend snagging one. This is a cheap one that cost maybe $20 if I remember correctly.
I figured a BAH was a no brainer 😃 Have plenty of those laying around. I’ve looked at some of the armorers kits, but I already have the majority they include. Took me many years, but I buy tools fairly often, when needed.
@@ChristianGrest Lol! JK about the BAH. Sometimes you feel like taking one to a problem firearm though! 😆👍🏻 I have so many tools for working on all my stuff. It's amazing how much you can accumulate over the years.
@@SierraBravo347 projects need that BAH from time to time, no doubt about it. You’re right though…. If you’re a fix it person like us, there’s no end to the tools we accumulate. There’s always something that can make the job easier.
@@ChristianGrest One that's invaluable I use is So Simplistic, and everyone has one...a toothbrush. They're awesome for cleaning. When I get a new toothbrush, so do my firearms.
Great video I’ve use & own at least most of what you showed. All are good items to have for lots of builds. Thanks for sharing & Happy Father’s Day Brother
There’s so many more tools I’d love to have, but it’s taken me 10-15 years to accumulate the firearm tools I currently have. Always a new tool I’d love to have. Thanks for watching brother, hope you had a great Father’s Day!
@@ChristianGrest yeah, functions the same way. I’m surprised that version isn’t out there more, or at least I hadn’t seen that before getting the real avid one
Dang, you're way better equiped then I am lol! For my next build I'm driving out to your place 😂 Some of this I have, and some I need. The gas block jig for starting that roll pin looks like it would save me a ton of stress and anguish! The Fat Wrench is pretty much a must have imo, I've used that thing too many times. Great video Christian, oh how I've missed watching them lol!
Thanks! You’re welcome anytime! I love tinkering and building/troubleshooting the AR platform. I got a couple new tools from my daughters too… can’t wait to try those out.
@@ChristianGrest Yeah I saw the pics on what they got you on IG, you'll have to work up some reviews on those at some point too. I'm positive that tools are the best gifts for the vast majority of dad's out there
These are a couple I’ve wanted for a while. Don’t need them every day, but they sure can be useful. I’m hoping to start a business at some point focusing on AR builds/repair.
@@ChristianGrest that would be awesome, you should go for it! I'd love to do something like that at some point as well. I've got a lot more to learn first though, like which way the bullets face in the mag 😉
That go gauge is the wrong size at 1.4636..That is a 223 commercial go gauge.. The correct 5.56 NATO go gauge is 1.4646.. Unfortunately, many companies will mark the 1.4636 223 commercial go gauge as a 5.56 NATO go gauge..The 223 Wylde should use the same 1.4646 go gauge as the 5.56 NATO..
@@ChristianGrest The 5.56 go gauge you used was marked 1.4636..The TDP requires a minimum go of 1.4646..Most 5.56 NATO barrels from manufacturers are longer, running from 1.4656 to 1.4676..If you use an incremental head space gauge set, you can measure the exact chamber to bolt minimum chamber size..During the Colt armorers class, they stated the chamber will shrink lengthwise when heated up during automatic fire..For reliability reasons, this is why the minimum go gauge is longer in 5.56 than in a 223 commercial chamber...
I never realized how handy a reaction rod could be.
Me neither until getting this one a few years back. Way more useful than a standard receiver block.
A roll pin starter set is nice to have as well
For sure! I have a couple of them, but not a set. I’ve made do without them for the most part.

I’ve seen the BEV block, those look really useful!
I need me one of those gas block jigs, man its such a pain getting that roll pin into the gas block for sure..

That is awesome video and info you provided was valuable. Thx🤙
Glad I could help 😀
Darn good selection of tools
Thanks! Took quite a few years to accumulate what I have. Didn’t share everything, just some of the more notable necessities.
Don't forget a BAH. I have a full armorer's kit I got as a Christmas present years ago. They are a definite Must if you have firearms. 👍🏻

The Real Avid pivot pin tool is a must!
I’ve seen those, but my little home made pivot pin tool has been serving me well for 10+ years.
