There is a lot of emphasis on respecting parents but some dont respect their children my 'mother' wallah is a very difficult cold cruel mentally and emotionally abusive individual i wish to leave by the halal method through marriage inshAllah soon one day but in the mean time its hell living under the same roof as her she has a dark evil persona to her nothing feminine or warm bascially she has taught me how to not be as a woman or if one day its willed by Allah for me to be a mother I wont take after her I pray that when i get married i can keep a safe distance away from her and protect my kids from her she is a visicious piece of work only Allah knows the tears ive cried I know am not alone in this i have not severed ties with her as I know in islam we cannot do that with our parents i guess its my test but its difficult because many of us suffer behind close doors i know i need to choose my spouse carefully as he will need to be my protector together as a family unit as divorce being a single parent is out of the question for me i have suffered two nervous breakdowns due to her its the equivalent of someone trying to provoke a male into reacting aggressively i know Allah is with me and its my test but its hard and draining respect to Gabriel for addressing this
