I had a match at Club El Nogal in Bogota with Miguel back in august of 1999, he was 14 at that time. I was almost 40 and he defeated me 3-1. He is playing amazing squash right now! I always follow him on this channel. Good Luck Miguel. German Gutierrez
exactly :")... Ramy said in a recent interview that players these days are often trying to out rally their opponents at the back of the court which is why matches are so long. He mentioned that players can use more flare and variation at the front of the court as well.. I think the interview was done with Ramy during the 2022 world champs, before the finals/semis match commenced (if anyone is interested in searching for it)
Incredible squash in an empty hall - what is it with some of these tournaments? I'm glad they're putting up the prize money, but how about some efforts to fill the room?
After corona they decided to make the court cleaner by not allowing wiping hands on walls and instead provided those two towels boxed at the front of the court for players to use between points.

@@aeroplace went to the effort of giving the same reply twice to different people but in both cases didn't answer the question, looking for the reason (i.e. reason it was decided).
@@richwilliams1863 hahaha great observation, though isnt the rule of “not permitting wiping of hands on the wall” to keep court clean the reason for why the ref said “dont wipe on the wall”?
@@aeroplace Only if the rule was there for absolutely no reason. If there is a reason why they made that rule, that would be the interesting bit of information.

Don’t get me wrong this quality is amazing but at the same time games like this make me miss Ramy Ashour, the man was electric and relentless
Had the pleasure of having dinner with Ramy when he visited us here in Pune(India) in Dec…a good 3hrs ..few of us…

No posts from the CIB open? Not a single post?
What is the point of ref alerting touching the walls? 19:32

@@richwilliams1863 the reason is to prevent spread of germs and contagious diseases that get transferred through surface contact
