At the 93-minute mark flow is moved to 1600 gpm using Riverton Engine 4, a 2000 gpm pumper. The ability of this large body pump coupled with a strong motor clearly demonstrates the advantages of such a pump/motor combination in the rural setting. A 2000 gpm pump is perhaps not needed to pump 2000 gpm at a rural fire, but it certainly is used in a scenario as shown in this drill. NO OTHER rig was needed to run jet siphons while supporting 1600 gpm to fire ground.
