It was a young black lad who missed that penalty. The Spurs fans singing his name when he could have cost Spurs the cup. They let the player know it wasn’t his fault. We see this recently when Bukayo Saka played at Spurs after his penalty miss in the Euros. He was clapped and cheered. And he’s an Arsenal player. Watched this game as a 12 year old. Absolutely loved it! Wasn't much football shown live back then. Great atmosphere and wasn't Graeme Roberts an absolute inspiration, loved him when he was at Rangers. Great night which I'm sure the Spurs fans will treasure.
Bought a ticket from a tout for this and watched it from the West Stand on more or less the half-way line. Apart from the game itself two memories stay with me: just before the game watching kids bunking over the turnstiles at the Paxton end (where I normally went) with the turnstile men doing nothing to stop them and then, once inside, the most electric atmosphere of expectation of my lifetime, it made all the hairs on your head stand up. White Hart Lane packed with home support for a European final, nothing to beat it. What a shame the upcoming Champions League final will be more packed with corporate hospitality freeloaders than genuine Tottenham and Liverpool fans. COYS!
Great night, watched it on the Shelf which was buzzing. If you're wondering why there are hardly any Anderlecht fans there, they shot one of our fans who later died in the first leg in Belgium

Anybody under 40 won’t remember that our domestic cup ties just kept getting replayed until a winner emerged. It was not unheard of for a top club to play ten to twelve games over six rounds to win the FA Cup!
