Apparently he had a book on the plants in the area which ones were poisonous and parts were poisonous to eat but didn’t bother to double check that information before he harvested. You should always carry two compasses in my opinion I try to make sure that I double up if I’m going out into the forest to make sure I know my way out. It just seemed to me like he just wasn’t prepared for anything and that’s the sad part and I am surprised that he lasted four months.
