@greensleep well it's an awards show celebrating performances and promoting films and TV shows. Sometimes the most popular nominee wins, but sometimes lesser known nominees win. To say it's just celebrities "celebrating each other for being good celebrities" is purposefully disingenuous and makes you look a little bitter. If you don't like celebrities then go watch documentaries and learn something perhaps?
