Loved hearing your thoughts! I’m so glad that you liked the beginning of season 4!! So many people don’t like the Frozen storyline but I thought it was great ☺️ I wish they did more with Mulan, I felt like she deserved a greater storyline. I didn’t like Reginas relationship with Dr Facilier either, it felt completely random. I would love to hear your character rankings, there’s so many to discuss 😂 x
Oh really? That was one of our favourite bits from any season. The actors were brilliant in those roles. Yeah, we didn't get a chance to mention Mulan but she was one of our favourites too! Her story just sort of ended didn't it. Being a huge fan of Regina, we weren't keen on what happened with her throughout season 7, we were devastated when she was playing Roxy 🤣 The Facilier thing just served no purpose, it was really odd. x
Same tbh I really liked it!
My thoughts:
Season 1: really liked it, but it isn't my favorite.
S2: Also good, bit forgettable near the end.
S3: My favorite season for Pan and Zelena alone.
S4: First have is OUAT perfection, second half is less good but still fine.
S5: the emo Emma arc was mediocre, but the underworld arc was decent.
S6: Had many enjoyable moments, but was a bit messy as a hole. Hook and Zelena should sing more often.
S7: The point where the confusing plot went of the rails. But I did like the new version of Alice, just a complete lunatic
Wonderland spin-off: What live-action Jafar should have been.
Ah amazing! We love hearing other peoples opinions. We agree with Alice in the last season, she was a highlight, shame she wasn't in the previous ones. x
I watched it when it first came out in 2011, it’s still my favourite show ❤️ I went to a OUAT Comic Con and met a lot of the actors, it was amazing! 😊

Ahhhh I was really looking forward to this video! Loved it! Neverland is my fave too and Pan is the best villain! I believe that they intended to finish at season 6 which is why it feels like its the end. I think it was because fans were devastated it was going to end! Xx

Because of that I couldn’t talk to no one about it, because all my friends watched it year ago and couldn’t remember hardly anything haha. I watched when it came out but stopped after the frozen arc which I think a lot of people did. I'm just now deciding to finish the rest
Also watch the spin off show. I was shocked when I didn't see it on the rank bar. It's only one season. The creators only made one spin off show during season 3. It has some crossovers with the original show which I won't spoil but it for me count's as a Once season. It's called Once Upon A Time In Wonderland. The story is about Alice and her true love Cirous. The show was already bad ratting wise when it started. So it only got 1 season but like Once. It got cancelled before it finished filming. So they made a great story rap up in the series finally. Some shows get cancelled after the season is done filming and the show ends on a cliff hanger but these 2 once shows were one of few that didn't end on a cliff hanger. There is a few camios and I think you'll enjoy it. FOR ME I PUT WONDERLAND AS ALL MAGIC COMES WITH A PRICE. It wasn't a favorite season or one I would watch over again too often but it's a good story.
We've just noticed that it has been put onto Disney+, it's definitely going to have to be watched otherwise our Once Upon A Time watch is not complete. I hate it when things get cancelled and there's no resolution so I'm glad that doesn't happen. x
My ranking personally is S1, S4, S3, S7, S2, S5, and S6.
Season 6 just…wasn’t interesting, like if you think plot wise, what exactly were the purposes of the first few episodes? I also didn’t like that they went from Fairy Tale Characters to Novel Characters, Hyde was a great villain until he got locked up, Edmund and Lady Tremaine didn’t do crap and only had one episode, and can someone please explain how Nemo is from the Enchanted Forest with a modern tech ship in what is supposed to be im guessing is a 17th century inspired place? The only good episodes for me were mostly whenever they had the Black Fairy if im being honest. She was the best villain in the season but still, she is kind of underwhelming because of all of her retconning.
Season 5 was just…ehh..I didn’t like the Camelot portions and they really lead to nowhere, I absolutely hated the Season 5 Finale because wtf Henry? I did like the Underworld bits a lot, I thought it was fine that we got to see old characters again, I did like Hades a lot but my only dislike is that they had to go with the Disney variant and actually portray him like he’s Satan. In Greek Mythology, Hades is really a chill dude and is with Persephone, but in Disney and OUAT, bc logic says that the ruler of the underworld makes u a devil like character, ur automatically evil. Season 5 could have explored actual Greek Mythology! Sure the entire underworld was based on Greek Myths but it literally just functioned as hell really.
Season 2 was originally my second favorite of the seasons…but as time went on, I began to realize how much the episodes actually sucked. Season 2 was good without a doubt, but the season wasn’t as interesting to me. Many characters were expanded on, which is a plus, but the season mainly began to go downhill the moment Regina sided with Cora and had her redemption arc at pause. Cora was without a doubt one of the best antagonists in the show, too bad she died too early and got replaced by the worst villains in the entire show lmao. Greg and Tamara are probably the biggest reason as to why S2 sucked for me. They did have a good motive for Greg at first, but when it’s revealed this 30 YO MAN is actually searching for his father thinking he’s still alive after 28 years, I lost it with him. And Tamara needs no explanation, her character was probably a sign that the show would go downhill…
Season 7 for me is in the middle for me. I like the season a lot yet I hate parts of it. So we have many new characters, which is great, but WAY TOO MANY to keep track of that you’re quick to forget about Henry’s existence. I also absolutely hated Henry in this season, he was beyond frustrating. They managed to curse the TRUEST BELIEVER into thinking he had a family. Also, how the hell did Henry go basically 20 episodes not realizing anything was going on?! I get that this part was mainly for Regina, Rumple, and Wish Realm Hook to figure out, but COME ON! HENRY, THE “PROTAGONIST” OF THIS SEASON HASN’T EVEN FIGURED OUT THAT VICTORIA WAS KILLED BY MAGIC?! ARE YOU THAT BLIND AND ONLY CARE ABOUT JACINDA?! oh yeah, jacinda and henry’s relationship…It was forced. I was seriously hoping that Henry would’ve gotten with Drizella, but nope! She leaves the season just 5 episodes before the curse is broken! As for the positives, I loved the main antagonists of the season. Rapunzel, Drizella, Gothel, and Wish Realm Rumple were some of the best characters in the season. Alice and Robin’s relationship was also gold. And Regina getting a conclusion to her story was absolutely amazing.
Season 3 is also in the middle for me. I don’t care what anybody thinks, but I absolutely hated the first half of the season. Neverland for me dragged on for WAY TOO LONG, the best part was when they left. I can say that I did like Pan as the villain! My only problem though is after he’s revealed to be Rumple’s father….then what? Neverland in a nutshell was them having a simple straightforward path but there were many unnecessary obstacles. David has done so many dumb things by this point it’s honestly questionable whether or not he’s taking himself seriously lol. The second half was okay. Zelena was introduced and my burning hate for her until Season 6 began. Zelena is probably one of my least favorite major antagonists because of how poorly the writers did her character. She was just always whining over dumb things. I also didn’t understand Emma wanting to go back to New York lol. The Season 3 Finale was fine, im surprised im not drawn to wanting to rewatch it though.
Season 4 im shocked I even like. The first half was great, the second half is understandably eh. Season 4 introduced Ingrid, one of the best antagonists in the show, and managed to shock audiences with their take on Froze despite only being released a year prior their OUAT debut. Season 4’s second half is the Queens of Darkness arc, which I get why many people hate it but don’t hate it myself. I understand that many people dislike the queens, but why is no one dissing on Isaac lol? The show had 2 Ursulas, the Sea Goddess that granted the mermaids the ability to walk on land, and the Ursula who had NO CONNECTION TO ARIEL WHATSOEVER. I get that her backstory is inspired by Ariel’s relationship with her father, but still…we never really got to see her crimes. Maleficent was also done dirty in the season too. She’s just wanting to be with her child but again..we never see her crimes. Cruella is the actual queen out of the three, unless u include Regina. Cruella was always bad from the start, and that was nice to learn. I also didn’t understand the concept of the 1920’s Victorian England either. Apparently it’s supposed to be the realm where Jekyll, Wendy, and Alice from OUAT’s spin off “Once Upon a Time in Womderland” but it still confuses me. I also thought Rumple being bad in this season made sense but not the whole take over the world part.

That just my opinion though, I respect urs entirely.
This brought back so many memories as it’s been so long now since we watched the series. We’ve actually started forgetting what happened in each series. That calls for us to watch it again soon I think. I’m glad we did this video to refresh memories. Loved hearing about your thoughts on the series. It definitely had ups and downs throughout. The last season we just can’t get over no matter how many times we try and get our heads around it. My main thing was what they did to rumple. They gave him a cockney accent at the start of the season and then he dropped it and no one noticed. 😂 Nice to hear the thoughts of a fellow fan. Thank you for watching x

yes 7 was confusing but I'm good when it comes to time travel so I'll help you explain it the best I can. When you watch the series finale. Robin is 5 years old. The 18 year old robin was in the future but came back in time with the season 7 cast. So when they came to Storybrooke. Alice and Robin were from the future and that's why she's older then Neal. Neal is still older then Robin from his timeline because in his present timeline. Robins 5 years old while Neal is 10.

We totally agree with this. We would have been happy with the six seasons. There were too many questions for us with season 7 🤣 x
Also They were planning to do another few seasons on the new characters but the ratings of season 7 were so bad and the time slot moved from Sunday night show to Friday was weird. It was not just the characters but the show moved to a different night and people were used to watching it on Sundays. In my opinion Sunday is better because it's family night and it's right before you go back to work and that made it easy to watch the show since most people were home on a Sunday night. Fridays. unless you work 24/7. A lot of times you get weekends off from work and status say most people are out spending all night hanging with there friends and watching movies in the theatres. Not a lot of people are hope and that made the ratings of the show drop so far that ABC cancelled ONCE. They were going down already and they did season 7 for the fans who miss season 1 could enjoy this last season. It was a last effort to save the show and it only made it worse. They were in the middle of filming episode 17 when ABC pulled the plug saying 7 was the last season. They had other plans to finish season 7 and build up for season 8. However, with only 5 more episodes to film. They abandoned there storylines and changed the ending to make it more series ended. Some season 7 storylines were able to rap quickly while others had to stay abandoned. That's why it was rushed and I think the last couple episodes were made for season 12 or 10 or something but since they got cancelled. They couldn't drag the new storyline for 6 seasons like the original 6. So that's why they did the plot in one season.
I never knew any of the backstory so that's great to know. I love behind the scenes info. x
lastly my ranks are as follows. for magic is real. I'll put season 6 and 3. Season 2 for me was a mess. It was understandable but it had too many storylines and some were a little abandoned because even the writtors can't keep track of the storylines. There was too many. I was able to keep track however, I don't like how some were abandoned like the giant for example. He's not popping in any future seasons and barely talked about. However because of season 6 musical episode and the final battle. I like it enough to be a one tear. Plus Aladdin finally got introduced. your thoughts on season 3 is the same as mine.
for I will always find you is almost the same as yours for same or similar reasons 4, 5, and 2. however, season 1 is a great season but not my favorite. I joined the show in it's 3rd season with no access to 1 and 2 till after season 3. I was in to peter pan and there is so many movies about him I was shocked to here him as a villian I was hooked on the idea that I started watching the show from season 3 and I was not confused because it was just these hero's going out to save Henry and I thought the flashbacks would explain how they got to Neverland. As I continued the show. I realized that wasn't the case and I went back after finishing season 3 on Netflix and watched 1 and 2. I was already used to the magic that watching season 1 felt off to me with no magic in the real world. It's like season 7 except the same cast with there magic abilities taking away exept in flashbacks. Instead I like season 5 because they reached 100 episodes of the show by that point and all the characters we weren't expecting to see on the show again came back like Peter Pan and Quella in which you forgot to mention in your video. Like season 4 but opposite. I like the second half of season 5 but not the first like you said. They could of made Emma darker and I did not like Hadies or Hurkules. However, I enjoyed watching every character villian from past seasons come back to life except the Snow queen. AEll other villians came back except her which I was okay with because she turned good at the end and went to a better place with her sisters and seeing her in the underworld would ruion her arc. so I would go with season 4, 5, 2.
for magic comes with a price. I would put season 1. in reasons I already mention since no magic and all. I would also put the Wonderland season there as well. I hope you guys get a chance to watch it. It's available on Disney Plus.
For even hero's make mistakes and for the same reason you guys mention. Season 7. I too think the show should of ended after 6 but if they were going to do at least a reboot. The ABC studios should of canceled the show after season 6. Even the cliff hanger with Henry and his daughter was a great ending because that final scene alone brought it full circle. We start with Emma and Henry knocking on her door to ending with Henry and Lucy knocking on his door. with no further storyline that would of been perfect. Then us as fans could speculate what the next 6 seasons would be like in theory without cannonly telling us. However since season 7 exist. They should of cept the plug in for at least a few more seasons so that these confusing new storylines can have a few seasons to explain itself like the original storylines did. Dragging them too long is better then rushing it. I would rather be bored then confused. However I'm smart when it comes to time travel so I'll buy it but for your guys sake and every other Oncers out there. It should of went on a few more seasons.
Also it's a total of 156 episodes and season 7 episode 17 was directed by Regina. Actress Lana loved directing more then acting and she got to direct the show in it's 150th episode celebration which was a long running show and the cast thought it would end with the curse breaking from season 1 but once as it always does shows it's never the end of the story like most farrytale stories say it is. They go as far as to believing there are are no happy endings. Only beginnings. Lana even directed her own charactor on that 17th episode of season 7.

I love OUAT...but still can't do Season 7. I thought I might like it as I am a big fan of Adelaide Kane who plays Drisella...but I just can't get into it! My favourite series are 5 and 6...
Yes Rose! That's the one I was looking for 🤣 Yeah, we can totally understand why. The characters were not as interesting or dynamic we felt. We spent a great deal of time questioning each episode which we hadn't done with any of the other seasons. Bit of a shame. x

Here's my ranking. First though, I want to say that there isn't a season I hated. I loved them all but there were definitely ones that were better than others. Season 5 I always felt gets too much hate. I do really enjoy it but yeah I wasn't a fan of the whole Hook becoming the dark one part. I liked watching Emma be the Dark One even though I do wish she was more evil but I get why she wasn't and I did enjoy what we did get of her doing evil deeds like ripping out Violet's heart to make her break Henry's heart and kidnapping and controlling Merida. I liked the Underworld arc especially with Regina making amends with her parents and her relationship with Zelena. As for Meg, I get why people would be disappointed but the thing about the show is they often did their own take with certain characters and I consider myself pretty open to different variations so I wasn't really bothered by it. Anyways, I could talk forever about the show but the comment is already going to be longer than I want it to be. 😂

In defense of season 7, I feel like it could've been better if they waited a bit and allowed the season to be a spin off focusing more on the adult versions of the babies and children like baby Robin, Prince Neal, Roland and maybe Henry with Regina, Emma, Snow, David, Rumple, Belle and Hook being more guest or recurring. Aside from that, I thought it was a decent season. The only things I didn't really like were Cinderella and the whole Tremaine being Rapunzel. I also wished Tremaine remained the big bad instead of Drizella. I did like Gothel and enjoyed her story and also Alice and Robin's relationship. As for Cinderella, I just wasn't a fan of her and Henry's relationship. I didn't feel there was any chemistry. I liked his relationship with Violet so much more.
I loved looking back on this as its been a long time since we watched the series. It reminded me of why we loved it so much. You brought back all the memories. We loved hearing your thoughts on the series and the characters. ♥️😀 x
About Ursula, I think the first Ursula from season 2 was the “legend” and then the Evil Queen pretending to be her and then Ursula from season 4 was the daughter of Poseidon who was named after that legend and originally a mermaid until she used her fathers triton to give herself tentacles based off of the legend.

I totally agree with you on everything and I have got to say that I hate pan he was just so evil but he was portrayed really well! My favourite season has to be 1 or 4 and I wasn't the biggest fan of season 5 but I did not like season 7 but the ending did manage to make me cry but yeah wow I didn't realise how attached I was 😂
