I like to live beautifully too. I don’t have money. I shop in charity shops but my home is so cosy and welcoming, not cluttered but full of comfort and everything has a place. I like to make everything as beautiful as I possibly can and when people visit I bake scones and give them a lovely experience. It’s all about attitude and the intention and focus you put on your home filling it with love.
Hello. Could you do video of your clean home ? Or pictures. ? I had limited budget too. I managed on small budget though. Bought some items new. Some items 2nd hand. There were issues with 2nd hand furniture sofa and arm chair though. But I managed to get rid of faulty items.
@@samiclark7503Sorry I’m not that good with technology to do that. I focus on comfort. Cushions. Throw rugs. Candles. Plants. Lamps. Flowers. Always somewhere to put your coffee cup next to seating. I try to make everything look as attractive as possible. Arrange furniture so it looks balanced. I try to be clean, tidy and organised. I have a table near the front door to put keys etc when I come home. I have a a short runner on the floor where I can remove shoes as soon as I enter. Having a place for everything creates a comfortable, beautiful life. I have some bathrooms towels that I only put out when I have visitors. I bake a cake when I have visitors and put it under my glass cake stand on my kitchen counter for when they arrive. It’s looks so lovely and thoughtful that you have baked a cake for them coming. I buy china cups and saucers, milk jugs and teapots from charity shops as well and giving people a china cup and saucer and cake really does look special. I buy mirrors and pictures from charity shops too but I’m careful I don’t get carried away and overcrowd any of my rooms. It’s easy to keep buying when there are bargains. 😂😂
Emma has always been one of my favourite designers and I think the Neptune offerings are sublime. But when she said that it's not "about having money" (when it came to living beautifully), I beg to differ....no you don't need to be rich, but you will never have an interior such as hers without having very very deep pockets.
But i think she meant it’s about the ethos of doing everything with thought and care and making every home activity a meaningful process, so light that candle, have those flowers, cherish what you have etc
@@janicesisson4509 I agree 100%. Money makes so much of life easier-design, travel, health care, education. It is usually those that have the most that say it doesn't really matter.
I could watch this 100 times and still notice new and more beautiful things! Coming from an American that’s only ever lived in less than 50 year old homes, looking at and learning about living in homes with history is such a dream. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely look into your life!
I stumbled across Emma during lockdown when she was doing a really sweet 'cooking show' sharing her plant based recipes in her home kitchen. I am in Australia so was not aware of her interior design work and Neptune Home until I followed her . . Very talented family, and a genuinely kind women. I think Emma truly embodies living beautifully in everything she does. . x

Yes beautiful style. But it bothers me when people with money say you don’t need a lot of money. It sure helps

Beautiful. For me the beauty is in the use of natural products. No plastic in sight.
Yes, I agree!
Stunning. Emma paints with light and color in her designs like a master impressionist. What a dream to live within in a lovely work of art.
