This is just great! I've been using Power BI for quite a while now, but your "moving pages" tip earned you an additional like on the video :-) love it!
Great as usual. Can't get the multiple sorting to work by pressing Shift? If it works, it's huge, been frustrated with sorting. And, let's wish for moving pages to another pbix that shares the same dataset. Great when your report becomes too big and you want to break it up into thin reports,
Are you trying to sort columns in a Matrix? You can’t do that. Copying a page would be good. Currently closest you get is Ctrl A to select all visuals the copy paste. But filter panel settings etc aren’t picked up ( I don’t think )
@@AccessAnalytic I tried to sort a table, not a matrix. The arrow on the 2nd column shows asc/desc when I shift-click, but column values do not sort. Not being able to sort a matrix is a pain. And move/copy page should work like in Excel.
Thank you for these! Moving pages will be so much easier with your tip as will moving objects. Sometimes text boxes are a real hassle to move around too! As far as documenting goes, when I am building a test version, I add a Notes page with a text box to list out particular configuration for certain visuals - such as using book marks or conditional formatting. It helps when I am working on several projects and later have to go back to the test pbix file to make changes before finalizing. (I hide the Notes page so that when I publish in My Workspace It can be viewed in meetings for discussion without seeing the Notes.)
What I should have said is this is essential data, no more that that this is key information, no more than that this is great insight. Sorry for being cryptic

Custom format 🤯. Thank you!
You’re welcome Ben
Hi Wyn, I didn't know you can apply your custom format by double-clicking on the format number field. Great tips 👏👏
It’s a very hidden one Frédéric
That pie chart trigger is such a great tip and I look forward to learning about the gif part 🙂
Glad you liked it Amy
Excellent Wyn. Always learning. Waiting for the Power Query tutorial. Thank you very much.
Cheers Iván
Wyn - Whoa! A legit use for pie charts. Now I might have to restore those on my visualization pane...

@@RambergJE That's an odd situation then. Not sure why it won't sort
This one is very useful 👍👍

I’m a big fan of notes page Irene.. I add a couple to my template file so it’s there whenever I create a new report

Ah.. so it was meant to read... Essential data, no.. it's more than that... essential information.... no it's more than that... essential insight.
