Levant was much lighter before the Islamic invasion, where Arabs raped African slaves. The Levant is not Arabia. The notion of a middle east "color" is from Islam. Jews, Nazarene Christians from Lebanon, Syria, Cyprus, etc., Samaritans and Druze are related on different branches of the same close family tree, Arabs are not there. They (Ethiopians) are not the color of other Jews because of intermarriage, they are not ETHNICALLY Jewish, but close to Ethiopian population, same as Keifung Jews (ethnic Chinese), and Some Indian communities. Basically they are, from an ethnicity point, the same as converts. That's why they don't look like other Jews, they are not genetically Jewish. (It doesn't meant they aren't Jewish as other converts, but Judaism is an ethnoreligion, like Druze, Samaritans, Sikhs,etc., so they literally are the same as converts, not ethnic Jews).

I think you’re reading too much into this. Sometimes our chairs hurt my back and it is more comfortable to sit on the floor, and vice versa. There can be an array of reasons beyond what you’re suggesting....
