Fun fact: Abraka is the character that I love the most in the show and overall have a crush on and feature him in my fanarts and animations. I think the main reason that I want to see Zed or bring Zed back is to see Abraka himself. Seriously, I like STAN ABRAKA

Zed is one of my favorites that I've ever know since high school. I fell in love with the show at the instant when it showed up on the cirque site back in 2009. The music and the story of the show itself spoke to me like a butterfly beating it's wings. The music was astonishing and the show itself is greater than the other shows I've learned about. When I found out about it closing in Japan, it bummed me out a bit. But then I started to collect some of the memorabilia souvenirs like souvenir programs, flyers, DVDs and even found a Blu ray demo disc with unseen footage of the shots of the production.
So here's what I think that Cirque could have done. I wrote a letter and sent it to Montreal so that it can get delivered to their headquarters, that said that they should bring the show back somewhere safe in the states where it can stay like Disneyland in California. I finally got feedback from them and they sent me an autographed photo of Guy Laliberté. I read the letter and it said that they would also want to bring it back, but they we're in the middle of developing Kurios at the time in 2014, which was nice too.
That being said, this should be a time to petition to revive both Zed and Zaia because they were both great masterpieces. Hope this is something to make aware of because it's been nearly 10 years since it closed in Japan. This year it'll be the 13th anniversary of Zed when it opened in October. Let's pray that cirque does a revival.. 😔

Fun fact (this may not be fully true) Zed is Cirque Du Soleil’s first and only show to have the Japanese language feature in the shows songs
Zed and Zaria are the two shows I sadly never got to see live. I didn’t make it to Tokyo , or Macau, until after many years both shows had closed
So sad that my family didn't get to go to Tokyo during its run but very glad that I ultimately got to see their trapeze act in Mystere.

zed is one of my alltime favourites! so sad it had to close :( on a side note, does somebody here know how to get the full show recording on a _decent_ resolution? that's one of the things i hate about cirque, having to get one of their recordings is quite hard tbh

I agree with all the comments, calling this show a disgrace is an insult to how spectacular it is. I mean Cirque du Soleil collaborated with 20th Century Studios, (now owned by Disney), to make a show inspired by “Avatar”, and even that show is breathtaking.
