according to her, eusexua is that moment of euphoria and an explosion of sexuality that we normally feel when we enjoying life or just kissing with someone having a good time. we associate that feeling with love but she said that its not love, and she created this new word to call that feeling, EUSEXUA, a word that mix euphoria and sex in one term. i just love what she did c:

It makes me sad, too. Maybe it's because this feeling is like a piece of eternity but we always know that life is also fleeting. You experience this heavenly and pure state of being just for a brief period of time until it is gone again.

yessss! I was also reminded of Madonnas confessions Album, especially the song get together, aswell as Gagas Born this way era.
The unexpected openness and vulnerability within this song hit close to home and made me cry too! I think the message she was trying to portray throughout was the isolating sense of loneliness we all often experience and the fleeting feelings of joy many of us spend our entire lifetimes chasing after to numb ourselves to emotional pain and crippling sadness.
I found one thing very interesting about the 2nd half of the music video during the tonal transition with all the undressed people and FKA in the center floating about with quills on her body. As funny as this sounds at first, I think she was trying to embody and portray a lionfish which is a supposedly delicious seafood delicacy also known for it’s venomous sting and unorthodox beauty.
“People always tell me that I take my love too far, but refuse to help me.” “You’re not alone.” What I think she in so many ways meant to highlight is how we all long for closeness and human connection, for a literal taste of deep interpersonal joy but are unable to reach it because of the defense mechanisms we put up to protect ourselves due to the traumas we’ve endured. We all develop our own ‘quills’ that prevent us all from allowing ourselves to ever be fully vulnerable again. We simultaneously long for intimacy yet hurt ourselves and one another in our pursuit and a lot of us even indulge in our own pain if it means there’s a chance that we can access that euphoric feeling once more, thus taking our need for love too far and pushing other people away. (There are a few instances in the video where you can see people violently convulsing when they touch FKA which can be read as either pain or pleasure since there is commonly a thin line between the two.) Overall, it’s more or less a depressingly bittersweet and vicious cycle that presents itself in more ways than one and leaves us all feeling empty and perpetually alienated. We become so lost that we forget what we were even after in the first place.
I'm so glad she's back. I wasn't a fan of Caprisongs because it had a much more commercial sound than I'm used to from her. But this song is making me so curious to hear the new album. And THE VISUALS in the video. Her hair, the inflatable boots with a porcupine quill headpiece, the choreography...it's all amazing.

Yes, it was really touching to see this genuine reaction - most people vibe to the song but miss the emotional/melancholic layer of it. You got it and it was so reassuring because I cried the first time when I heard it. It definitely has a bittersweet message to it.
This reminds me so much of Madonna's Ray of Light production wise. Especially songs like Skin, Sky Fits Heaven and Mer Girl.

I love the Easter egg shouting out the Melissa ep. When twigs picks up a phone she hears a distorted voice saying one. We can hear that in glass and patron😮also the production is very similar to that song

I get this song is a cry for help for a more grounded present humanity something outside of the internet and how it’s divided everyone and the social distancing has changed a lot of people. Loneliness is so common now we need to start working to be more loving and present especially these days

My personal favorite track of the year so far! I don't have super wide music tastes but Twigs has always stood out to me and she's definitely in my top 3 artists, so this release alone was pretty big for me. I only wish that the track was a bit more full, like maybe there could've been more of that heavier bass that plays near the end, but other than that I love it and I'm so excited for the full album.

Im not a really a fka Twigs fan, but this is a magnanimous of the 2020s. Will be looked back on for many decades. This music video is SO iconic, so pumped for her upcoming project!
