These are some great picks of greatest seasons. You left out Hakeem's 1994 season too. But it depends on what criteria you use. There are at least three seasons of Wilt Chamberlain's career that have to be mentioned. There are others as well, but here are my picks for honorable mention. Year 1959-60 1960 All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Regular Season MVP Rookie of the Year 8 NBA records were broken that year -1959-60 League leading 37.6 ppg League leading 27.0 rpg 2.3 apg Advanced to the second round in the 1960 playoffs Year 1966-1967 1966-1967 Regular Season MVP Wilt led his 76ers team in all three categories of points, rebounds and assists 24.1 ppg 24.2 rpg 7.8 apg League leading fg% of 68.3% New NBA win-loss record of 68-13 1967 NBA Championship Year 1971-1972 Was Team captain of the LA Lakers 33-game win streak (still unbroken) League leading fg% of 64.9% New NBA win-loss record of 69-13 1972 Finals MVP 1972 NBA Championship
Wilt was the greatest scorer ever, rebounds ever, blocks ever, passer ever, 33 wins to open a season, a quintuple double 53 pts 32 rebounds, 14 blocks, 12 assists, 11 steals. No player ever matched Wilt's rookie yr. in their whole career, Wilt should have been allowed into the NBA 6 years sooner like Lebron did, his records would be double of his already 72 still today, Wilt needed to play the regular season so great to make the NBA succeed, no one knew who Bill Russell was, but they all watched to see The Big Dipper. Wilt was a republican, so today's fake reporters decided to slander the founding father of professionalism in all sports, Wilt has always been bigger than the NBA, no other player can compare, 5 Wilts would annihilate 5 of anyone else.

The best individual seasons in NBA history, 4 were Wilt's, 3 Kareem's, 2 George Mikan, and MJ 1. Kareem had the best individual season and the only player ever to eclipse 25 win shares in a single season 25.32. Wilt finished second with 24.98 and Mikan third with 23.43 win shares. MJ's first appearance on this list comes in at 9th with 21.23. The top three individual seasons by a player in NBA history were Kareem 71-72, Wilt 63-64, and Mikan 50-51. Check out NBA and ABA single season leaders and records for win shares on basketball reference.
Good list, but the 3 biggest snubs are the following, but I can only justify taking out two of the players listed in this video ('87 Magic and '71 Kareem): 1. Hakeem '94 - MVP, DPOY, Finals MVP, Championship. 27-12-4-4 averages and 29-11-4-4 in the playoffs. 2. Wilt '67 - MVP and lead his team to a 68-13 record plus a championship. He averaged 24-24-8 shooting 68% FG (a record for over 10 shot attempts pg) and may have won DPOY over Russell. 3. Russell '62, who rightfully won the MVP that year and put up 22-26-5 in the playoffs and ofc winning the title (with 30-40-4 in game 7). If there were a finals MVP and DPOY back then he'd win that as well. Also Jordan '91 is the best player basketball has ever seen and should be (narrowly) above Shaq '00 and Lebron '13 as the best seasons.
Shaq in 2000 is hard to beat It's not just the numbers, the whole Hack-a-Shaq was totally out of control The only other comparison is in baseball where Barry Bonds was given a free pass every other plate appearance
He didn't play against anyone of worth that year. All the Centers were old and beat up. He never put up such winning series vs all time great PF/C led teams
Steph Curry's record breaking season at 2015-2016 is more of a revolutionary season. I am a big Curry fan but this season is not the best ever because of the 3-1 flop. It would be the best ever if not for the finals. But hey, he'd definitely up there and earn everyone's respect and remake the course of NBA scouting and drafting forever.
Woah this video deserves some serious heat 1) how can you crown shaq the winner.... not saying he didn’t have a monster season a case is to be made for others on this list.... 1) lebron came 1 vote shy of being unanimous and also was also “cheated” out of DPoY” 2) Jordan 1991 made all first defense and numbers in the finals are just as crazy 3) curry 2016 yes he didn’t win the chip but he lost to the greatest player of his era... that’s like if the Lakers had made it to the finals in 98 and lost to the bulls... shaq beat a old ass pacers team that finally broke through after losing to MJ for years... 4) Kareem literally had better stats one less win regular season and swept his opponent in the finals.. while the pacers got 2 games off shaq in the finals... and you couldn’t hack Kareem.... Quick note: I’m not saying these guys were better than shaqs season but I’m saying there’s an argument for each player This video is also missing a lot of all time greats: Hakeem Olajuwon 94 or 95 both spectacular years Larry bird 84.85.86 3 straight MVPs pick a season Wilt chamberlain: on sheer statistical dominance 48.5 minutes a game, 50 ppg, 25.7 rpg... lost in a tough 7 games fa defending champs Boston Celtics with bill russel... once again goats losing to other goats... had he won the chip this year it would be without a question the MOsT DoMInANt season of all time and by a margin that could never be closed !! But instead he lost in 7 games in game 109-107....

i do agree that Shaq from '00-'02 was probably the highest peak of any player in modern NBA history. he just didn't sustain that level for more than a few seasons. 201-2017 was the best single performance ever. Pippen, big O, Shaq and T-Mac all said Russell Westbrooks Performance was the greatest single performance ever. WHO r u to say anything?
Larry's 1985-86 season should also get some acclaim.
No 2016 Curry, that dude was shooting from Mars if he want it to
thats not what shaq does, simply enough they passed him the ball and he scored 61
Westbrook triple - double with 30 points has to have an honorable mention
They didn’t even mention Hakeem Olajuwon and that just shows how underrated he is
First love your content
Your so stupid. I'm first dumbass.
@@d.00.m.s_d4y no your not
Kareem’s 1972 season with the highest WS Value in history and nearly beating Jerry West & Wilt damn near single handedly.
These are some great picks of greatest seasons. You left out Hakeem's 1994 season too. But it depends on what criteria you use. There are at least three seasons of Wilt Chamberlain's career that have to be mentioned. There are others as well, but here are my picks for honorable mention.
Year 1959-60
1960 All-Star Game Most Valuable Player
Regular Season MVP
Rookie of the Year
8 NBA records were broken that year -1959-60

Im pretty sure that people knew who bill Russell was, you know, the guy who won 11 out championships in a 13 year strech
@@Cameron1000 Other than NBA fans few people around the real World knew who Russell was. On the other hand Wilt, the stilt was a household name worldwide.
Meadowlark Lemon was a bigger basketball name than Bill Russell.
@@vincentbruce9833 oof roasted
@Isheit Kaul I can't remember seeing Meadowlark ever missing,
his bouncing the ball from center court, through the basket, he did it every night.
Wilt is a beautiful soul, to pick Meadowlark as GOAT, WHO CAN OVERRULE WILT.
@@vincentbruce9833 wilt did not score at the same level in the playoffs so he can't be the greatest scorer ever
that 50+ point 20+ rebound season was the best regular season performane to me. also blocks were not recorded back then if not it would have been the craziest stats ever
Great stats but he also didnt win mvp that year or a ring
How could you leave out Hakeem’s 1994-95 season
Jordan has the top 5 seasons of all time.
No asshole 🤣🤣
Michael Jordan 1888 or 1989 , averaged 37 points 5 rebounds and 4 assists and he went to the ecf
Also wilts 50 point 25 rebound season
Or Kobe’s 35 , 5 and 5 in 06
I Didn't know mj was alive in 1888

A great 50% From the field
An unbeatable 48.5 Minutes per game
61.3% From The Three Throw Line
Career FT% 50%

Wilt averaged 50 pts and 25 rebs 1 year
Against who tho?
I mean Westbrook’s 31 point triple double season don’t look to bad tbh
Lol 40% from feild trash
'94 Hakeem and '03 Duncan should be on this list.
6:07 klay Thompson dad
nice eye
What editing software do you use?
Wilts 50 point season and also he played all minutes
Good list, but the 3 biggest snubs are the following, but I can only justify taking out two of the players listed in this video ('87 Magic and '71 Kareem):
Also Jordan '91 is the best player basketball has ever seen and should be (narrowly) above Shaq '00 and Lebron '13 as the best seasons.
how about russ averaging a 30-point triple double and almost singlehandedly lead his team to the playoffs?
73-9 sounds good, but 72-10 just has a ring to it
I think it comes down to: (I mean full year season and playoffs included)
Russell 62
Wilt 67
Kareem 71
Bird 86
Jordan 91
Hakeem 94
Shaq 00
LeBron 12
Duncan in 03, Rick Barry in 75 and Moses in 83 as well All absolutely dominated the league en route to titles those years
@@FuShengAlex true good picks
Lebrons is 18 in my opinion
@@hukkumkhinda497 That's fair
Disrespect to Wilt is unreal
What about wilts 50 and 30 season or Oscar Robertson’s triple double
They both didn't win mvp that season, yes they both did that in the same season
No
Good Job
The dream: mvp dpoy mvp final champion
Nonstop Sports:Who had the best season in nba history
*Wilt* :Hold my orgy....
Lebron season was 2011/2012 not 2021/13
Shaq in 2000 is hard to beat
It's not just the numbers, the whole Hack-a-Shaq was totally out of control
The only other comparison is in baseball where Barry Bonds was given a free pass every other plate appearance
Scouting, drafting how?
@@tanjiroushirogane690 They basically draft specialised shooter now more than ever.
Can't be a flop when he was dealing with knee injury, Bogut injury, Igodala back spasms and bogus Draymond suspension.
@@t3jf That was true but he still didn't get the title that year so for me it's a flop. Not a bad flop though because the NBA was rigged.
@@DKtrek21 It did seem like the nba was trying to protect Lebrons brand. Imagine if he lost 4 straight finals to the the same team.
Woah this video deserves some serious heat
1) how can you crown shaq the winner.... not saying he didn’t have a monster season a case is to be made for others on this list....
Quick note: I’m not saying these guys were better than shaqs season but I’m saying there’s an argument for each player
This video is also missing a lot of all time greats:
Hakeem Olajuwon 94 or 95 both spectacular years
Larry bird 84.85.86 3 straight MVPs pick a season
Wilt chamberlain: on sheer statistical dominance 48.5 minutes a game, 50 ppg, 25.7 rpg... lost in a tough 7 games fa defending champs Boston Celtics with bill russel... once again goats losing to other goats... had he won the chip this year it would be without a question the MOsT DoMInANt season of all time and by a margin that could never be closed !! But instead he lost in 7 games in game 109-107....
Wtf man, Hakeem Olaijuwon 95!!? How can you skip that season man:(
Wilt Chamberlain or Oscar Robinson maybe Russell Westbrook
JR Smith and Brian Scalabrine (tie)
Jack McNamee So true
Glen Rice. I dont remember what season it was but he completely turned his career around. Obviously, not one the greats, but i still felt it could use an honorable mention. Also, a shout out to Benard King.
Ok i like your channel but SHAQ didn’t have the greatest season ever. Wilt did when he put up 50, 25 each game in a season
Wilt's best season has 67 actually because he's referring to seasons where a player won the championship except curry but still he went to the finals
there's like 10 Wilt seasons that could qualify here especially his season with 50 PPG, and 26 RPG
I had the best season ever
Greatest individual seasons, no order
1. Jordan 92' & 96'
2. Shaq 2000'
3. Hakeem 94'

i do agree that Shaq from '00-'02 was probably the highest peak of any player in modern NBA history. he just didn't sustain that level for more than a few seasons. Jordan's peak was arguably as high, but lasted much longer and resulted in more overall team success. if Shaq had Jordan or Kobe's mentality, he could've been the GOAT. still the best center ever, in my opinion.
