Nice to see a 67/68 (Shelby) Mustang on the channel. Always thought these were not only the prettiest year Mustangs but also some of the prettiest cars - period.
Beautiful Pony Car... I remember when I was a little Boy My dad and I went to the hardware store and on the side of the building sat the Beautiful blue Mustang... My Dad asked the owner of the store who's Beautiful car did that belong to and he said it was his sons , but he was off to war in Vietnam... I hope that Guy came back home...🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Back in 2003 when I was 18 years old. I was working at a Chevy dealer, called Laqua's 481 in Fulton, NY. This little old lady drove up in one of these cars. Same colors too. She parked and asked us to detail it because she was selling it for 33k. So I did, she had some package from the factory, that allowed the steering wheel to disconnect from the column. Whenever you opened the drivers door the steering wheel would slide out with it. Allowing her to get in the car easier. Does anyone have any info about this package? I still think about it after all these years 😂
The Car wich i would buy in 1967 is this car, The 1967 Shelby GT350 with the factory Paxton Supercharger, 4 speed T-10 gearbox, 9'' inch with 3:89 Posi Loc rear end, Wimbledone white paint, white deluxe interiour, Le Mans Blue Rally Stripes with Power steering, power brakes, Am/8 track radio, and fold down rear seats, Magstar 14 inch rims, on BF17 Polyglass tyress
I owned a '67 fastback in high school, in which I installed an Edelbrock intake and Holley 650 CFM four barrel carb, along w/ an after market cam (Isky). I did some minor work on the rotating assembly by cleaning up the rods and the oil pump passages, as well as doing some de-flashing and port work (just cleaned/smoothed up the intake/exhaust bowls) on the heads, for improved breathing. For having a basically stock bottom end, that motor was a beast! I could turn that engine to 8K RPMs w/o hesitation. Never knew exactly what kind of HP or TQ numbers it made, but it was definitely way more than 300 HP/TQ.
I'm in the middle of building a mild stockish 1982 351w for my 1980 Mustang. I think it's just cool that my engine has C9OE rods in it that were designed in 1969 and still in use in my engine!
After much thoughtful reflection i conclude that which i always suspected. That this refined and updated for 1967 Shelby Mustang is my favorite Mustang of all time. Ford did great at giving the car the right tasteful updated look and feel. As nice as a '69 Mach 1 is i like this body style best of all.
Took a month, but I have finally watched every episode. I looked at a 1964 1/2 mustang with a 260 in it yesterday, nice car but the price was a bit high I think.
Thanks for the memories of all these great rides from back in the day if I would have been able to get a car from back in the day I think I would have gotten an original Cobra with the 427 side Oiler or maybe an original Ford GT 40 but there were so many great cars back then like the AMC big bad cars I would have opted for the blue one or the original Challenger with the 426 Hemi or even a Yano car with a 427 even a Chevy COPO car would have been nice
If you notice, the Shelby actually LED Ford Mustang design, not "went along for the ride" compare the 67 Shelby in look and features to the 69/70 Mustang then compare the 69 Shelby to the 71/73 Mustang.
You're a bit off on those prices. I bought a new '68 Shelby GT 350 convertible in '68 with a sticker of $4880.00. The only options were 'automatic' and power steering. That '68 money would be worth about $37,000, today!
I was surprised you didn't mention how early production number 1967 Shelby GT350s had red brake lights in the back of the upper rear quarter ram air. You can see an example here: gtspirit.com/wp-content/gallery/1967-shelby-gt350-fastback/1967-shelby-gt350-fastback-4.jpg
Where are the back bumper guards? If the car has stripes they are painted the stripe color if no stripes they are the car color. It should have them! Mine does.I never saw a 4 point roll bar in one. I never saw quad tips on a 67. All 68's had them. Nice car. Mine is red with white stripes. Mine is an early car with lights in the upper side scoops. Mine has the Kelsey Hayes 5 spokes. Neat video's brother!
Had a 67 shelby gt 350 moss green with the automatic mine didnt come with the inboard lights mine had the kelsy hayes wheels paid 2500 for it was an awesome car growing up in colorado I wanted a car that cornered good hence the 350 my friend had a shelby gt500 and I could outrun him all day long in the mtns the 500 was too nose heavy but straighaways was a different ballgame but hey mine get better mileage

3:32, that just made my day ;)
I just cant believe a car from 67 can actually look much better than a new one!!! Really nice car!!!, Regards
UA-cam needs to hire this guy for their announcer. He is great at explaining the issues
Thanks @Dan Conner
Easily gets away with green...very cool , stunning today in 67' must have been simply awesome.

Had no idea there were so many little detail changes throughout the build year. Really informative. Thanks!
Fantastic looking car, they nailed the look on this one.
Lovely car!😁👍🛠️

My favorite Mustang!!
Love the lime gold color.
My favourite Mustang.

What a beautiful car.
Make that indigo with white stripes and you got yourself my ultimate dream car
Everyone loved FORD MUSTANG. Golly-g, my opinion, the exhaust note is the better sound than all the competition.
Time machine car would be one of the elusive 1966 G.T. 350 convertibles.
Took a month, but I have finally watched every episode. I looked at a 1964 1/2 mustang with a 260 in it yesterday, nice car but the price was a bit high I think.
Way to go! Thanks for watching, keep us posted on your car search!

Those "Cobras" back in the day, were going for a "mere" $6000.00, just slightly more than a "427" 'Vette!
If you notice, the Shelby actually LED Ford Mustang design, not "went along for the ride" compare the 67 Shelby in look and features to the 69/70 Mustang then compare the 69 Shelby to the 71/73 Mustang.
In 1967 I would have either bought a Shelby GT500 or a Corvette Stingray with a 427 and side pipes.
What's most amazing is that these things were under $30,000 in today's money - what can you buy now for 30K?
Phil King a regular mustang fastback. Real gt350s are worth around 130k
You're a bit off on those prices. I bought a new '68 Shelby GT 350 convertible in '68 with a sticker of $4880.00. The only options were 'automatic' and power steering. That '68 money would be worth about $37,000, today!
If I was buying a new car in 1967 it would be a Plymouth GTX with the 440 Super Commando and a 4 speed
Awesome! I have a Model of the 67Shelby GT-350 in Candy apple Red.
Could have had a very clean used one from a Ford dealer for $17k when i first got out of HS in the 80s but couldnt convince my father.

You can see an example here:
gtspirit.com/wp-content/gallery/1967-shelby-gt350-fastback/1967-shelby-gt350-fastback-4.jpg
The 67 gt350 has to have a 4 speed manual. The gt500 I could do without a manual even though I’d prefer to have one but the gt350 has to be a manual
I like it but still like the 65 66 best 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn where some badass Mustang I'm trying to build one
Hope you guys do a "Gt500"
69 Mach 1, red with black racing stripes, 351C and a 4 speed
A green 1968 Shelby GT500 KR fastback
The thought of THAT ONE is making my schmeckle hard!
If I could go back to "67" and buy a new car. I would buy this GT350, a Z28 and a Formula S 383 Barracuda.
I want this car....
Nice.
I'd buy that car if I found one and that the money. Ford For Life!
Awesome e
Love it!!
The grill mounted lights were an aircraft part .
Aircraft are 24 volts
Do 1967 gt500 and 1969 gt500!!!!
Cougar tail lights had fins.
And in 1970 I would buy a 70's Charger R/T

Very few came with the Shelby 10 spoke wheels. Yet that's all you see!
I would have bought a Hemi Coronet RT and used the left over money for mods. I am building a time machine.
id buy a 69 mach 1
If I could go back to 1967 I would buy a 67 Chevy Camaro
Had a 67 shelby gt 350 moss green with the automatic mine didnt come with the inboard lights mine had the kelsy hayes wheels paid 2500 for it was an awesome car growing up in colorado I wanted a car that cornered good hence the 350 my friend had a shelby gt500 and I could outrun him all day long in the mtns the 500 was too nose heavy but straighaways was a different ballgame but hey mine get better mileage
Punctuation, punctuation, punctuation.
I heard that the headlights were moved outward in later cars to improve cooling. Not sure if that's correct.
+Jeffrey Cruz Both are true. The early number 67 Shelbys had things done to them that later production numbers don't.
Was a DOT issue.
If I could go back 1969, I'd buy a 69 Camaro SS 396, a 67 Shelby GT500, and a 69 Chevelle SS 454
454 wasn't available in 69 but I like your car selection.
Nice car, but the stripe kit is on wrong. There should be no middle stripe after the 0 of 350.
if i could go back, i'd have the #68 GT500KR In red
I want a 68 Grand Prix 428 4-speed with eight lugs, not a muscle car but a sporty land yacht
Gonna be honest, a 69 A12 superbee in green
being a Shelby i wonder why it was not supercharged
Time machine car would be a 1970 Trans Am .
enough mustangs already, MORE MOPARS!
Chevette, or a Pontiac 1000, then .... profit. Yeah....
It wasn’t just a intake and larger carb. Ford installed a hotter cam.
This is a gt500 the real gt350 lights on the grill are spaced out
GT350's had both light setups.
MY BUDDY HAS ONE WITH A SUPERCHARGER STRAIGHT FROM SHELBY AMERICAN BADASS.
I have a model of this car, im making it orange with gray flames and im outlining the flames with green
