Hey! Be aware of scammers out there using my logo and even my photo. There will be a checkmark by my name when I reply to a message. I will never ask you for personal information, money or ask you to txt a certain number. Thanks so much!
Best way check if it's ligit other than it probably isn't click the photo and check the number subs usually these pages have none or a handful kinda different to Matt's hundreds of thousands🙄.
I have been dealing with them all day. When they asked me to pay for shipping before they sent me the planer I had won I realized it was a scam. I am so disappointed that I didn't win anything but I am glad I didn't have any $$ to send them. BTW I love your videos.
Thank you for continuing to do builds. To many it seems that when they reach a certain level of subscribers, they start doing more product demos, or tips and tricks. Nothing wrong with those, but its the actual builds that keep us coming back.
(aka Row) I've watched many DYI woodworkers and their projects, Matthew you are the only one that takes time to illustrate the process and include material and a place to get plans. It would be cool if the steps could collapse into a single box, I think this may be possible with glides of some sort. Like so many here I do appreciate you, not only are you a great help, you are inspirational to many.
As more of my long watched creators are heading towards "testing" and marketing products - I GREATLY appreciate your work more than ever. A+ for all the creative low overhead, high quality, skill built approach which results in high profits. Love your work and your Holiday stars and all were fantastic.
Matthew, just want to send a thank you for all of your videos. I’ve noticed most of the woodworking folks I subscribe have sold out and are going with product reviews and short reels. You continue providing a great wealth of information and inspiration with your videos. And yes!!!! Keep the the low cost high margin ideas coming!
This is an awesome build. You do a great job at walking us through step by step on every project. I think a dog crate end table would be a big win as a future project.
I made a ramp onto my couche when my dog was a pup. Now that he is getting older I made a new ramp leading up to my bed with carpet on it but I added a number of lats across to give the dog grip when climbing. I was going to make a bed a few inches off the ground for my other dog because he has trouble climbing and prefers his own bed. Your idea is really great and would be ideal for my sitting room
I can see where people would definitely purchase this. It's crazy how much they are willing to spend on their pets, and like you said, they might be getting older or just too small to get up. Nice build as always
I love your videos and ideas that you come up with. I really want to thank you for the way you explain things during your videos and after when giving advice because you don't talk down to people. You talk to people like they are people and not down to them as I have seen in other videos.
I had 100 yr old wood from a building that was in England and shipped to Maryland for a lg project. Some of the wood was 2 in thick and 12 to 16 in.wide. I spent 2 hours ripping it down and made a 7 ft Christmas tree for the owner for free. It was a just because thing. Watching your builds, I have sold some planters of different sizes and orders for more. Thanks
Second! Awesome. Saw the plans listed last night on Etsy and showed my wife. She said that’s definitely something you’d build. I like the continued ingenuity and creativity. Very nice! Thank you for doing this video on it.
I've made lots of these out of chipboard and mdf scraps and covered them with cheap boat carpet and gave them away. Don't be like me. Love your work Matthew. Cheers from downunder.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I tried one similar months ago but only steps and it looked like 5 year old in shop made it. I scrapped it. I just cleared my calendar for this.
Quickly became one of my favorite YT channels because of his positivity, free ideas, and commitment to his subscribers. You show everyone how to make high profit yielding items 🤙🤛
That is pretty slick. Have you considered shortening up the stairs (width and length) and allow them to store inside of the main body? Thus cutting the size in half if you were to ship it, and moving it around the house, etc. Then when you pull the stairs out you still have your storage space. Just a thought.
I'm not trying to split nails here but there's more than a $30 cost to build this... - $12... 2x4x8... 3@ $4ea - $18... 1x8x8... 1 Common board - $14... 48"x48"... Beadboard - $10... figure 8 fasteners - $20... Qt of Gray paint - $20... Qt of White paint - $15... Qt of Stain - $8... Pocket hole screws - $9... 1" 18GA Brad nails I'm at $134 after tax and not factoring in labor. Many of these items can be used for additional stairs but the initial startup cost exceeds $30.
I can see these steps as an opportunity for Cat entertainment; 2 smaller openings on either side, carpet on treds for scratching, cushioned top landing for lounging. Purrrect!
I'm not sure how you do it, but 3 of your last 4 posts/videos are things I've literally been thinking about how to work through. You are making the basic design super easy for me. Lol
Love it! It made me think about other products like baby/pet gates. I looked into it and boy do custom wood ones have a nice market too for such an easy build! Thank you for an inspiring build!
Matthew like this idea however vets tell owners of some dogs stairs are bad for some smaller animals use a ramp is a better choice and use a piece carpet on it for them to get traction with their feet and also do make the ramp to steep of grade, no more than about 30- 35 degrees. You may wish to make one like that. Also in doing so you will find there are far less cuts to make and less material. You might want to include short sides/rail to prevent them from their feet slipping off the side, 3-4 inches would tacked to the side of the frame so the ramp board would slide in next to it as part of your trim. The ramp is also good from pets that have bad backs and limited mobility. I believe the ramp would be a great seller do to the fact that the compassion people have for older pets whom has shared a long time with them, especially if you marketed it that way. You can get carpet remnants form a carpet company or if you know installers for a reduced price to save money, or if you know carpet installers have them save some of the scraps left over for you and using a carpet glue small pieces down like a mosaic pattern or patchwork quit pattern on the ramp board surface. If you do a glue down I recommend using a pad and attach the pad to the board so if the carpet becomes worn you can replace it without replacing the board. The ramp board could fasten using the figure 8 fastners as well. Hope you try to make one and make a video for others. I do believe you are on to something. One could also look to local veterinary offices as a outlet for sales to the customers. You they could offer custom designs and ask for greater money. Even a mom and pop pet store or a big box store might be an outlet to sell you product. Lots of possibilities with lots more addition income to come out of it. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the tip of ripping down 2x4’s. Treated 2x2’s are 4.88 each here, a treated 2x4 is 4.18. Made 2 Obelisk using 2x4’s for the price of 1 if I used 2x2’s!
Just like Bob Ross, relaxing and informative to watch. Leys you think, feel I can do that too, looks so easy and effortless. LOL Looks Sharp, not an eye sore.
I love your videos. Can you make a build using tools that a new woodworker would have? I do not have a table saw and do list of my sanding with an orbital or by hand. As my business grows my shop will grow. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and your talent
I've said it before but I'mma say it again! One of the most impressive things I've seen in these woodworking youtube videos is the quality of 2x4s ya'll are able to find. I don't know what they're doing in my area but good golly does it take an awful lot of work to make them usable in anything.
Thank you! This is very cool! I will have to figure out changes that would be necessary to put carpet or upholstery on the steps (as my little dog slips on wood). I would only need it on the treads though. I love the idea of the space underneath.
Great build and video.Thank you so much for giving us an estimated selling price please do that for all of your future builds. Dex is cool build him something nice. Do it for the baby dog.
Great build. I think Im going to try this, and maybe install some hinges on the bottom stair so that it could be lifted up with some dog bowls or storage underneath. Keep up the great work Matthew!
Really appreciate you making this. My daughter and I were just talking about making one of these last night. I like that you did the market research also to see what they would sell for. That really helps. Would like to see that in all the future videos as well. thank you!
I prefer to use hand tools and carve the whole piece from a solid hand-hewn log to maintain the finish of the grain. Great video, just a little shopenvious.
Bow-Wow! My beast Pumpkin is a 130lb Mastiff, she needs an elevator to get on the bed. However, this a great built that would make my Dachshund very happy. Thanks for the heads up on the scammers. I received a reply from you regarding a comment I made on one of your videos. I will check for the check mark, lol.
Great project and great encouragement as always. Thanks for helping to train my brain on how to think about projects, marketing, resourcefulness, etc. Always a pleasure 😊🙏💯
An impressive build. After watching, I conducted a se arch for similar items. I was surprised how many were available. Confirming the market. One question. Why is the first step smaller that the others. On steps we design for people to use, all steps to be equal and within a formula. Pet steps are not subject to these rules. Very good video. Well done.
Love the build and all the info specs that you provided .....lookin forward to build this in the near future for my dogs .....thanks for all you do and keep up the good work!!!!😀👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻cheers!!!
In a way it already is. It conceals your trusty attack Yorkie that will hold bad guys at bay while you're digging through the ol' concealment coat rack.

Put keywords to screen comments like other UA-camers do like TELEGRAM e.t.c. That way it won't make it to comments until you approve.
Best way check if it's ligit other than it probably isn't click the photo and check the number subs usually these pages have none or a handful kinda different to Matt's hundreds of thousands🙄.
Drawers are a good idea.
If you go with what you built, I would add a floor so the pet would not suffer discomfort from laying on the cross beams.

Just got a scam reply dude!!🤣🤣😂😂😂🖕🏻🖕🏻🖕🏻
Thank you for continuing to do builds. To many it seems that when they reach a certain level of subscribers, they start doing more product demos, or tips and tricks. Nothing wrong with those, but its the actual builds that keep us coming back.
No worries! I enjoy the builds and will continue doing them for sure.
Mathew I just really like the way you teach. So many people make but few teach. Thank you

Really nice simple build! 👍🏻
Thanks for always sharing the cuts in the description
You bet!
You are the best UA-camr. Thanks again for sharing your skills and knowledge. I made a small cesar planter thanks to your tutorial. 🙏🏾
Nice work! And thank you for the support!
Thanks for taking the time to post this video.
I can see where people would definitely purchase this. It's crazy how much they are willing to spend on their pets, and like you said, they might be getting older or just too small to get up. Nice build as always
Thank you!
This is right on time! I have an aging small dog who is having more trouble getting on the bed. Will be making something like this very soon. Thanks!
You are now, by far, my favorite UA-cam channel. Love the work, the products you make and the easy you do your videos. Well done and thank you.
Yet another hit!
Thanks!
I love your videos and ideas that you come up with. I really want to thank you for the way you explain things during your videos and after when giving advice because you don't talk down to people. You talk to people like they are people and not down to them as I have seen in other videos.

I really appreciate you and your channel. Love the full project videos. You always inspire with your content.
Now I will be in the work shed even longer. Nice build
Have fun!

Oh yea, these can have a large profit margin.
Looks good, going to try this for our Frenchie
You had a typo... replace "try" with "do"
Cool idea and such a simple way to get it done.
I love this and will be making a bunch. Very easy to customize and great that it's not a seasonable sell.
Yes, it’s one that people can buy all year round. Enjoy!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I tried one similar months ago but only steps and it looked like 5 year old in shop made it. I scrapped it. I just cleared my calendar for this.
Awesome! You’ve got this.
Dex is one handsome boy, love his pattern and color!
I see you stepping up your pet house game
Quickly became one of my favorite YT channels because of his positivity, free ideas, and commitment to his subscribers. You show everyone how to make high profit yielding items 🤙🤛
This will be the next set of plans I purchase from you! Great piece! Semper Fi from the disabled Vet guy!
I’m thinking people would also buy a bow stand with a bowl for water and a bowl for food. This project turned out great!
Love this. Got 3 small, old, puggy dogs, plus two fat cats.
This will be great then!
Awesome build and another great video... thanks!
Thanks!
Love the boxer, I’ve owned boxers for 30 years, the best dogs ever!
Just saw it was bottomless, great project. Easy to clean
Great build! I like that you painted the inside, nice touch!
First! Love it looks wicked!!🏴👍gonna attempt this definitely!
Hope you enjoy!
Definitely will glad we're still getting amazing videos. 🏴👍
i always enjoy your posts thanks for sharing
I appreciate that!

Many modifications can be made to this. I can’t wait to see what others come up with.
Just ordered the plans for this and about 9 other of your projects on Etsy. Thanks for being so thorough and for sharing your talents.
It looks super cute. My dog will thank you for it.
Love it! This would make a wonderful Christmas gift, also.
I think so too!
Another one out of the park Matt. Great job and a fantastic build. Thanks for sharing. John.
Glad you enjoyed it John!

Thank you Matt!! I just bought this plan!!!
I love your coaching. Fantastic lessons.

Lol well I’m glad it’s worked out like that. We must be in the same mind frame.

I love your ideas, honestly, I learned a lot from you. Thank you indeed.
I'm so glad!
Great info and tips as usual....💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Builder Fabricator Life 💙
That would be a great idea for a loft bed staircase with drawers for storage either in the front or side for a desk underneath the bed.
Good idea
Was going to make something like this, great timing!
Thanks again, Matt.
No worries!
Thank You For another great video! proud to have found your channel!
Great video Matthew
Thanks!

I think that elevated cat walkways and cat steps would be a good seller.

Really nice and looks super simple to build.
It is!
This was an awesome build! So simple and well explained! 👏👍

Great content Matthew! Your videos keep getting better. Keep them coming!
Thanks! Will do!
@@MatthewPeechWoodworking I made several snowflakes this year as Christmas gifts. My wife loved hers.
You rock! Keep it up
Thanks!
That is an Awesome project!!!!
Thanks for all the great ideas. Really enjoy your videos
You are so welcome!
Nice build
Thanks!
It looks great. But, as someone that has an old dog it would be nice if the stairs had some grip to them. Thanks for sharing!

Looks good once again Capitan. Good marketing advise as usual. Keep up the great work. Thanks again!!!
I love your videos
Thanks!
Thank you!!!! Brilliant idea!!!
You are so welcome!
Very nice!
Awesome idea. Another idea? Find out what size pet beds are available from your local pet store and make the inside of the steps to fit those.
Thx for the ideas
Another awesome build. Love your work. I’ve built a few of your builds for family. The moms got your planter boxes for last Mother’s Day
That is awesome! Thanks for the support.
Great idea
Cool design!!
Thanks!
Awesome Build!
Very cool build Matt . As for the scammers there seems to be a lot of them on UA-cam wanting viewers to call or text for one thing or another
Thanks! I know, they just don’t give up.
As usual you rock
Thank you!
Great project and great encouragement as always. Thanks for helping to train my brain on how to think about projects, marketing, resourcefulness, etc. Always a pleasure 😊🙏💯

Great video!
Also, given some of your other builds, I'm surprised you didn't make this a "concealment" pet steps. Might be a good twist to add
🤔 I think we can figure that out lol
In a way it already is. It conceals your trusty attack Yorkie that will hold bad guys at bay while you're digging through the ol' concealment coat rack.
Just make the top step hinged, with a cubby underneath. Still plenty of room for Doug the Pug
