This is the first time I have seen one of your videos, and all I can say is "WOW." Your creations of jewellery are simply beautiful 😍 Greetings from England.
I thought it was great, thank you. I could hear you well, and music was calming while watching you just before I go to bed. I'm going to try this tomorrow. x
Thank you Rebecca 💓. I'm so pleased to hear that I have inspired you to try this. It is a lot of fun and they really do turn out great. In the description, below this video, I've put links to the jewellery settings which will, hopefully, take you to your Amazon in Canada. If it doesn't work, please let me know as I've only just started this. I have become an Amazon affiliate. This means that you can (hopefully) click on the link and it will take you to that product in your own country's Amazon. If you should buy something, using my link, I would then receive a small commission, yet the product remains the same price for you. I've had so many people previously asking where to buy the settings, so hopefully this helps - both ways 🥰💕
Thank you Karen. I am very sorry that you can't hear me. I can hear it fine on my phone and my laptop but I have had others say the same, so it must be an issue. I am unable to turn the volume up as I don't have this option as it has already been uploaded to UA-cam. (If anyone knows how this can be done, please let me know) I am in the process of typing out the whole transcript of what I say, so that it can be read on the CC option. It will take me a bit of time though to complete but, hopefully, I'll have it done in a week or so. My dogs chewed up my lapel microphone and I have since bought an external microphone and I am still learning the levels, so I hope that you can hear me on my more recent videos. Please let me know. Best wishes, Alison Hood
They are all so pretty !! Very interesting process too ! I make Fluid acrylic jewelry also & Im always amazed at how UNIQUE each and every piece is !! 🎉❤❤
Thank you Penny 💓 Yes, that is the great joy; no two pieces will ever be the same. Plus, the dome of the cabochon magnifies and enhances the patterns beautifully. Thank you for watching and for your kind comments, Alison 💕
Loved your work . I am looking at doing the same and have made some ,but have know idea how much to charge ,help needed .also it’s a worry when they talk about skins with silicone in it , I don’t know what would happen
Hi Linda, Thank you very much. I don't use silicone in my paints for jewellery - ever! If the oil got between the glass and the paint, it would mean that the paint would not stick to the glass in that area. If using dried paint (skins), you would need to treat it in such a way to avoid that happening with the skins, such as rubbing alcohol. Though I don't do skins, so I am no expert on that. As far as charging, I would suggest going to your local markets and seeing what they are selling their similar quality jewellery for. People from different locations are likely willing to spend differently on luxury items, such as jewellery. I live in the south west of Western Australia and I sell my jewellery mainly through a little shop in a town where the main road passes through, so there are a lot of tourists passing by and so that helps with my sales. I started off selling my earrings at $20AU and also my pendants at $20AU. That was about four years ago. I now sell them for $27AU. I also sell earrings and pendants as sets. You would have seen in the video how I put them in little display boxes (which I buy from Amazon - I will put the link in the description area). I am currently selling the sets for around $45. The sets sell very well as people like to give them as gifts. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching and good luck with your creations, Alison
Awwww, thank you Donna! You have made my day! I hope that you enjoy making some jewellery yourself. It really is very easy to do and they really do turn out awesome! Alison Hood 💓
What a great tutorial, I really appreciated you showing how the completed piece looked when completed, they are all so pretty! I'm inspired to try this out as its so satisfying to see what the paint creates. Thanks for explaining everything so well!
Thank you so much Kim! I am so happy that you enjoyed the video and very glad that it has given you inspiration to give it a go. It is very rewarding, as they really do turn out as good as they look. Thanks again, Alison Hood💓
Hi Kim, I thought that you might like to know that I have put up links in the video description to the various products used in this video as I have become an Amazon Affiliate. (I will receive a small commission for any sales generated). Warm wishes, Alison
Great to see you again Alison! Thanks for showing how to assemble the jewelry. That was Very Helpful! They are all Gorgeous! The owls & dragonflies are such cute settings. Hope you're feeling better soon. 💕💕
Thank you so much Julie! Lovely to hear from you again. I'm glad that you have found the video helpful. I'd love to see what you create. I have a Facebook Group "Acrylic Pouring and More for All Types of Artists at All Levels" where you could show your art if you wanted to. 💕💕💕
Thank you June. In the description field, below the video, I have put links to all the products in the video. Have you been able to find the one that you are interested from those links?
Hi! My first time watching one of your videos. Wow! So very nice! How clever of you to use the golf tees and the styrofoam! I will be watching more as I really want to do this!
Thanks so much, Sonja! 💖💓💖 I did get the idea of the golf tees and styrofoam from someone else. I'm so pleased to hear that I have inspired you to do the jewellery dipping. It is a lot of fun and very satisfying and they really do turn out as good as they look. There is a playlist on my UA-cam channel with just the jewellery videos. Also, if you look in the description under this video, I have put links to all the products that I have used in this video. I buy my jewellery setting from Amazon and, as I am constantly asked where I buy them, I have become an Amazon affiliate which means that you can click on the link and if you buy something, I will get a small commission, yet it doesn't cost you any more than you would normally pay for the product/s. I hope that you find this useful. Please let me know how you go; I'd love to hear. Best wishes, Alison Hood 💕
Love these! I’ve never done a pour. Is it straight acrylic paints or are they mixed with something to keep the colours more separated? Your pieces are beautiful and the tutorial was so calming with the soft music in the background. I could watch it all day. I like that you show the finished pieces throughout the video.
Thank you so much! I have a video on how I mix my paints for these pours. The acrylic paint is mixed with a pouring medium until you get it to the right consistency. I show you in the video what the consistency is for doing the jewellery. Here is the link to the video if you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/DsRC3pciP0g/v-deo.html Thanks again for your encouraging words. They are uplifting and much appreciated. In case you don't already know, I have a playlist of my jewellery videos. Here is the link to that: ua-cam.com/play/PLNggVvCn3eqBA8WhXNyL7Jw9PBsusKfWX.html . My very best wishes, Alison Hood 🥰💕
Hi Julie, Thank you so much for your kind feedback. That makes me feel very happy. Yes, you can use any acrylic paint for this. Just don't add any silicone, or suchlike, to your paints as the oil would likely stop the paint from adhering properly to the glass cabochon. If you are new to acrylic pouring, the way to make your acrylic paint more fluid is to add a 'medium' to it. I use Floetrol (US is fine) and some people use Liquitex medium and some use PVA glue ~60% mixed with ~40% water. It's important not to use too much water, as that will break the bonds which hold the pigments together in the paint. Have fun! Alison Hood 💕
These were all so beautiful! I really didn’t think the set you dipped all at once was going to come out…😂 but they did….gorgeous! I love how you poured a palette specifically for your jewelry. I’ll be doing that soon!❤
Thanks Shelli 💓, yes those are my favourites now and I wear them heaps. For a long time I was doing the jewellery dipping just using the leftover paint from doing pours. However, I am often exhausted after doing a pour due to health reasons, plus I thought that I would get better designs by doing a specific pour just for jewellery and now prefer to do it this way. I'm glad that I have inspired you to try it out. 💓🥰💓
You have inspired me! I would love to make some for my family and friends. If I can find the glass cavachons and the metal craft supplies to go around them. They are beautiful! ❤😊
Awwww, you have made my day Karen. Thank you! I buy my cabochons and the bezel trays from Amazon Australia. I expect that you can get them from Amazon in your country. You can also search for 'jewelry findings'. Have fun and I am sure that your family and friends will love them.
Hello Karen, as you asked previously, I'm sending you this message, as I am now able to let you know where you can buy most of the products that I used in my jewellery video #175. As I've been getting heaps of requests about where I buy my settings etc, I decided that the best way to do this was to become an Amazon Affiliate. By doing this, in the information area below the video, I have been able to put links to where people can find the same product if the Amazon in their country has it. I get a small commission if anyone buys from one of the links. Best wishes, Alison Hood
Well, IMHO the music is quite nice and goes well with the relaxing manner of the art and artist. Having said my piece, I have to ask about your bezels. I'm in the States and never see beauties like the dragonfly. Must I resort to making my own?
Just read thru some comments and found the answer. My apologies for doing it backwards! Looking thru Amazon now. Thanks for the experience of your video. Subscribed!
Thank you ever so much bcwbarb for your very lovely comments. Made my day! Yes, I get them from Amazon Australia, but I would expect that your Amazon would also have them as well. I am very happy that you enjoyed the video. I have quite a few similar ones on how I do the dipping for the jewellery. Thanks again and very best wishes for you, Alison Hood 💓
Hello bcwbarb, If you are still looking for the dragonfly pendants, I am starting to set up affiliate links with Amazon and here is the link for the dragonflies: amzn.to/49J4mDv . Cheers, Alison
Thank you 🥰. That is just some polystyrene that was in the box from a washing machine that I bought. Any polystyrene does the job. Have fun with it! Best wishes, Alison Hood
I really think your work is beautiful. I would like to know where you find all the settings for your glass pieces and are there standardized sizes in which to buy to set the stones inside to fit. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind comment. If you go to the description area, I have listed the links to the different settings and also the glass cabochons to go into the settings. The settings often come with the matching cabochons, if not, they let you know what size cabochon you will need. If you use my links, then I will receive a small commission, yet it does not alter the price for you. Thank you and I hope that you have a lot of fun doing them. I find it very rewarding. Best wishes, Alison Hood 💕
Hello Lynn, thank you. Yes, I find this a lot easier. If you look at the dropdown description area, just below the video, there are links to all the products used in the video, including where you can get the owls from.
Nice, subscribed. Decided to get into paint pouring stuff should be coming soon, but to work on canvas all the time and my lack of space can get expensive. Nice to see I will have some options to work with besides canvas.
Thanks Mike. Yes, and a lot less messy than the pours. Thank you so much for subscribing. I've done quite a few videos on doing the jewellery and will have another up in a week or so. Thanks again, Alison Hood 🥰
By the way, Mike, if you are wanting to purchase any of the settings shown in this video, if you go to the description, below this video, I've put links to all the jewellery settings which will, hopefully, take you to your Amazon in Canada. I've had so many people previously asking where to buy the settings, so hopefully this helps - both ways 🥰
Wow! Soooo stunning! A genius technique. Thank you so much for sharing your pearls of wisdom us. ❤ I have a dumb question - how did you make the resin piece to fit so perfectly in the metal vessels? Is there a specific tutorial you did for that part? 🙏
Thank you for watching and for your very supportive comments. Your question is not dumb at all! The pieces which the paint is put on and fit into the settings is actually glass. They are called cabochons and are made to fit into the settings. If you look in the description area, below the video, there is a list of all the products used, including the cabochons and settings with links to where you can buy them from. If you use any of these links to get into Amazon and then buy something, I will receive a small commission, yet it won't cost you any extra. Thank you for your question. Best wishes, Alison 💕
Hi there, Thank you. I usually wait a week or two before gluing. It also depends on what the weather is like as it gets very hot here in summer and so dries pretty quickly. As the amount of paint on the cabs is quite thin, it doesn't need nearly as much time to cure as a pour painting does. I use the E6000 glue and it sets well enough after 24 hours to sell. Have fun with it. I hope that you are enjoying my other videos on the jewellery. I'll be putting up another soon - once I've finished editing, which takes a very long time to do! Thanks for watching, Alison 💕
Thank you for sharing with so much detail! Beautiful pieces for sure! Can you tell me if you first mix your paints with floetrol, and if so, is it 1 part paint, 1 part water and 2 parts floetrol? Or what are your portion ratios? Thanks muchly!
Hi Carilangley, I use paint and Floetrol only. I don't add water, though, if you are going to use all the paint mixture, you could use a small amount of water to thin the paint and Floetrol if you want to. I like to make a larger amount and store it and I've found that when I've added water, it doesn't keep as well. My video #182 shows how I mix my paints. I don't go by ratios as much as by viscosity (consistency) as different brands of paint have different viscosities to begin with. Here is a link to the mixing video: ua-cam.com/video/DsRC3pciP0g/v-deo.html Best wishes, Alison Hood
Thank you! I'm so pleased to hear that this has given you inspiration. They sure do turn out wonderfully. If you look in the description of this video, I have put links to all the pieces I've used in this video. That way, you can see just what the settings are made of. I've only just put up those links, so would love to know if they are working properly. As, I didn't think that the Australian links would work for the US, I've put separate links for there, as most of my viewers are from the US. I would very much appreciate you letting me know if the links work. Best wishes, Alison 💕
I like the idea of pouring just to create jewelry! Beautiful colors palette! And I’ve not seen some of the setting you used…going to have to search…lol. I’ve been subscribed to you but for whatever reason I have not received notifications. I have it set to All. BTW….I LOVE the piece of art you chose for your cover photo in the FB group. It’s stunning.
Thanks heaps Shelli 💓. I have found that the settings available seem to change now and then and if there's something new that I think people will like I get them, as it's good to have different settings to keep customers interested. (I sell most of them through a local art and craft shop) YT no longer seem to let us know when new videos are posted for people we have subscribed to. It is annoying. It could also be that I have had long breaks between posting at times. Thank you for noticing my cover painting. In the beginning of creating the group, I alternated the cover photo with art creations that members were posting but then I realised that it would be better to have one permanent pic, so that members would find it easier to find the group. So I decided to use one of mine and it has stayed.
@@artwithalison Good idea being consistent with Cover photo. It’s effective! Yes YT has been falling down on the job. I will be looking for your videos! I’m getting ready to be sporadic….going to be moving very soon and you know what that means……bye bye studio for a while.😐
@@ShelliAndersonArt Oh dear! I hope that it isn't too stressful for you and that your move goes smoothly and quickly. If you would like to see more of my videos, here is the link: www.youtube.com/@artwithalison/videos Best wishes, Alison 🥰
Thank you so much! I've been looking for a video like this. What type of acrylic paint do you use? Is it pouring pre-mixed paint or will regular acrylic paint work?
Thank you. I will be putting up a video soon on what paints I use and how I mix them. I don't use the pre mixed paints, I use paints such as Liquitex Basics, Amsterdam, Liquitex Heavy Body, DecoArt and Eraldo. I mix them with Floetrol and only Floetrol. As I am in Australia, I use the Australian Floetrol, though I think that the US Floetrol would be just as good. I mix them fairly thickly, as I would for straight pours and ring pours. Thank you for watching. If you would like to watch more of my similar videos, go to my playlists where you can find the playlist for the jewellery videos. Best wishes, Alison Hood 💕
Thank you castaway132, I buy them from Amazon Australia. As the paint isn't very thick, it should be fine to glue after a week; sooner if the climate is hot and dry and longer if the climate is very cold or humid. Thank you for watching my videos. I'll be putting up a very comprehensive video on acrylic dipping for jewellery soon. Best wishes, Alison 💕
Hi Cindy, I am in the process of trying to add links to the description, which will, hopefully, take you to various settings I used in this video. I thought that I should do this, as I have a lot of viewers asking the same question. Even though, I'm in Australia and you are likely in another country, hopefully it will still work. Give me another hour or so and most of the links should be there. Thanks for your kind comment, Alison Hood 💕
Hi Alison. Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial, the results are gorgeous. Could you please tell me the ratio of floetrol to each paint colour? Thanks 😊
I apologise for not responding sooner. I'm glad that you found my previous reply for a similar question. I think that I should do a video specifically for how I prepare my paint for when I do the jewellery dipping. Thanks for the inspiration. I am currently editing a video that is a comprehensive video of doing the dipping on a plate. It is taking me a lot longer than I expected it would, to do the editing. Hopefully I'll have it up soon. Then I'll do one on the paint prep. Best wishes, Alison 💕
Thank you Elizabeth. I buy most of my jewellery product from Amazon Australia. I expect that you could find them on any other country's Amazon. I search for things like 'jewellery findings', and bezel. Some artists find some lovely ones on Etsy. Thanks for watching. I hope that you have noticed that I have other videos also on the jewellery making. I hope that you enjoy them as well. By the way, I have a Facebook Group, 'Acrylic Pouring and More for All Types of Artists at All Levels'. You are very welcome to show us what you are making there if you would like to. I'd love to see what you make. Best wishes, Alison Hood.💕

Thank you Alison for your wonderful tutorials. Your jewellery is beautiful. I am new to dipping and I live in a cooler climate. Was wondering how do you know if the cabs are dry enough to put into the bezels. My average temperature is around 70F. Also your jewellery selection is amazing. May I ask where you purchase your bezels? Thanks again for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank you Heather for you kind comments. I am so pleased to hear that my videos are helpful for you. I would suggest waiting three weeks before gluing. That way, you can be absolutely certain that the paint is cured fully. I buy my bezels from Amazon Australia. Enjoy making your wonderful creations. Thanks again. Best wishes, Alison Hood 💕
If you look in the description area, just below the video, I have listed all the jewellery pieces and have included a link to each of them. I joined the affiliate program with Amazon so that I could do this, as I get heaps of questions like yours. Please let me know if the links work for you, as I've only recently done this. Thank you, Alison 💕
I love how you’re doing this - so original ! Your jewellery is really beautiful! Do you use metallic acrylic paint? I really really miss Floetrol. I’m in the UK. Shipping is such a high price, not many of us can get it. We have to use Owetrol which isn’t so good 🫤. Floetrol is definitely the best. Hope your cold goes soon. Thank you for sharing all your ideas. I’m going to give it a try! xx
Hi Marian, thank you for your kind comments. Yes, I do use metallic acrylic paint. The DecoArt Extreme Sheen (DAES) paints, I feel, are the best ones, as they give wonderful cells. In this pour I am using the DAES 24K Gold, Amethist and PInk Tourmaline. I mix the DAES very thickly, as in a lot more paint to the medium; approx 3 parts paint to one part medium. Yes, I am definitely fortunate to have access to the Australian Floetrol. One of the artists that I watch the most is Sarah Mack. She gets amazing results from the US Floetrol in her amazing pours. I don't know if it's easier for you to get the US one. I hope that you do give it a try. It is really very easy to do and very rewarding. I get the settings from Amazon Australia, so I expect you can get them from Amazon UK. Please let me know how you go. I have a Facebook group "Acrylic Pouring and More for all types of Artists at All Levels" if you are interested in joining and sharing your work there. Please put my name in the post so that I see it. Cheers, Alison Hood 💕💓
Hello @mywifetheartist, I'm just letting you know that I have now put a list up of all the settings, cabochons etc in the description of the video #175 you asked about before. As so many have been asking the same sort of question, I thought that the best way, would be to become an Amazon Affiliate, which means you can put links to where people can buy the items from. I hope this helps. Kind wishes, Alison Hood 💕
Thanks for this video Allison! I'm thinking about making some jewellery but haven't done so yet. Is it necessary to remove paint on the sides when the sides seem to be hidden or covered when you make the final placement. Love your pieces, they are just so inspiring and beautiful.
Sorry, I just noticed that I hadn't yet replied to your comment. Thank you for your kind words. If you are absolutely sure the sides will be hidden, you probably don't need to remove the paint. Though, you would still need to be sure that there is no paint that has gone over the top. Also, often the trays are a tad bigger than the cabochons, so much so that you could still see the sides after they were glued in. I hope that you have started to give this a go. It is very rewarding. Best wishes, Alison
These are gorgeous! I’m just trying to learn how to do this. So I assume you have the Flotrol are added into each cup of paint, correct? Wondering what is your ratio of paint to flow medium? Thanks so much!!
Thank you Angie. As I am in Australia, I use the Aussie Floetrol. As different paints have different consistencies, I no longer use ratios. Instead I add the Floetrol until I get the consistency I am after. Here is a link to my video #161 which shows how I mix my paints: ua-cam.com/video/AnzC-zqeq2g/v-deo.html If I am using Liquitex Basics, it is probably 2 parts Floetrol to one part paint. For the jewellery, I have it at the consistency in this video. It is a little on the thick side, so that it makes a small mound on a mound and leaves a trace for a few seconds. I hope this helps. Cheers, Alison
Beautiful jewelry! I don't plan to use Floetrol, but I will see what water and Elmer's school glue comes out for me. I love the sun pendant, do you have a link for that tray? I already have some of the rotating crescent moon trays. I can't wait to use them. Do you have any issues with your cabochons separating from your acrylic paint after setting in the bezel tray? Do you use E6000 to attach the cabochons to the bezel tray? I've read that Diamond Glaze will not hold them for long term, which is what I was going to use.
Hi Julia, I haven't tried it with the glue and water medium. I'd be interested to know how it goes. I buy me findings from Amazon Australia. Here is the link: www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09FYS64V4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 To make sure that the paint doesn't come away from the cabochon, it is important to clean the bezel as well as the cabochon with rubbing alcohol. This will remove any oils that may be on them. I've never had a problem with this happening. Yes, I use E6000. It is very strong and works very well. I've never had them come apart. I sometimes us the Diamond Glaze to seal the paint on the back of the cabochon a few days before gluing. Have fun! Alison Hood 💕
Thank you Bernadette. If you watch the video, at 0:47 I start to go through the colours. My latest video which I put up just a couple of days ago shows how I mix my paints.
Hi Bernadette, as you asked previously, I'm letting you know where you can buy most of the products that I used in my jewellery video #175. As I've been getting heaps of requests about where I buy my settings, I decided that the best way to do this was to become an Amazon Affiliate. Gorgeous jewellery. Loved every bit of it. Thank you so much for such a detailed tutorial. You are amazing. I just have one question to ask. Did you mix pouring medium to the extreme sheen paints or not?
Hello ShriyaAnupam, Thank you very much for your kind comments. Yes, I do mix medium into the Extreme Sheen (ES) paints. I use Floetrol as my medium and, with the ES paints, I keep the viscosity heigh (thick) and mix the ES paints at about a 3:1. That is three parts paint to just one part Floetrol. I use Australian Floetrol but I don't think that there would be much difference from US Floetrol for this type of of pour. Wishing you well with your creations, Alison Hood from Western Australia
Hello Patricia, When I make stud earrings by gluing the stud to the back, I first will varnish over the paint to seal the exposed paint. Whereas, the cabochons going into the trays, I just glue them straight in as the glue seals the paint.
Gorgeous work, I pour skins but this seems like a good idea. How long do you leave to cure before putting into bezel? Also does paint ever come away from cabochon?
Hi Andi, yes, I find this a lot easier than using skins. If you are in a hot climate, they only need a few days to cure as there's not much paint on them. In colder climates, it would probably be best to wait two or three weeks before gluing. The paint can come away from the cabochon if you peel it off with your fingernail, or if you soak the cabochon in water. You do need to be careful when scaping the excess paint off the sides not to slip and go under the cabochon, taking the paint off the bottom. Though, I've not found this to be a problem. I think that I only did that once when I was first starting doing them. If you don't like how any have turned out, you can soak them and the paint just comes away, leaving the cabochon like new again. Once they are glued in, I've not had any problems. I've even worn a ring for weeks, forgetting about when I washed my hands. It was never a problem and stayed looking amazing - until one of my dogs chewed it up!
Thank you very much Alison, can I ask a favor? can you do your videos with Close caption? I am no a nativo de USA anf for me is much better to see and reading in the same time .Thank very much for your time and talent
Thank you Carmen. I have started to type the subtitles, however it takes such a long time to do. I will get back to it. Thank you for the advice. Best wishes, Alison Hood🥰
Hi Sandy, yes, so long as it is waterproof, as in, it's not a paper plate. Also, not too porous, otherwise the paint might stain your plate. I use a plate as it contains the paint and enable you to use as much or as little paint as you like. Thank you for watching. I have just put up a video on how I mix my paints, in case you are interested. Best wishes, Alison
The left over paint I sometimes use to dip coasters or bookmarks (videos coming up) and I always scrape up the remaining left over paint to use in another pour. I don't make skins.
Alison, what kind of prices do you typically charge for your jewelry, say your thin pendant and matching earrings? I realize that there is probably a differnce betwen AU and US.
I sell a set of pendant and earrings for around $39 AU. Otherwise, earrings on their own are around $20-$25 AU and pendants are also in that price range.
I've had some of my paints in containers for over a year and they've still been fine. The container needs to be airtight. Also, I have found that if I have added water to the mix, they don't keep. My paints are usually made with just acrylic paint and Australian Floetrol. I hope this helps, Alison Hood

Hello Elaine, I'm pretty sure that most of these are already sold. I might have one or two pieces left. They are mostly around $25 Australian dollars, plus postage.
I'm sorry that you can't hear me very well. Check that the volume on your device is on full. If you have ear buds or earphones, using them can help. Also, you can click on the closed caption button (CC) and that will bring up the subtitles, which may help as well.
I'm sorry that you can't hear me, Gina. I am in the process of typing out the subtitles, so that you can, at least, read what I am saying. This is a long process, so please be patient with me. Alison
Merci beaucoup, Nathalie. Je suis sur le point de mettre en place une nouvelle vidéo qui est très détaillée sur le trempage des bijoux. J'espère que vous l'apprécierez également. Meilleurs voeux, Alison
Beautiful! Thank you for showing us the finished pieces along with the process!
Thank you so much! I appreciate your comment and encouragement 🥰💕
Wow Alison. I love these - another rabbit hole for me to disappear down 👏🏼👏🏼😂😂💕💕
Thank you Kay! Haha, yes, can be like that! 🤣🤣🥰💕
This is the first time I have seen one of your videos, and all I can say is "WOW." Your creations of jewellery are simply beautiful 😍 Greetings from England.
Wow, thank you Neil! That is so lovely to hear 🥰
What a great method! Lovely.
I'm glad you like it! Thank you for your kind comment 🥰
Your tutorial is fantastic and so is your jewelry. Can't wait to get started😊
Thank you so much! It's wonderful to hear that I have inspired you to do this. Have fun! 🥰
Your technique is amazing, all are beautiful
Thanks so much 😊 That is very kind of you to say and I really appreciate it. 🥰💕
I thought it was great, thank you. I could hear you well, and music was calming while watching you just before I go to bed. I'm going to try this tomorrow. x
Wonderful! Thank you ever so much for letting me know as I really appreciate it. I'd love to know how you go with doing them, Alison 🥰💕
This is the first time I have ever seen jewellery made this way! I love it and can't wait to try it! thank you Alison.
Wonderful! I'm so glad that I have inspired you to do it! Enjoy.... 🥰
Gorgeous
Thank you Laurie 🥰
Very pretty! Love your technique!
Thank you so much! 💓
Absolutely stunning, will try this as I seem to have every paint known to man. ❤ from Canada
Loved your video and the colors. Thank 😁 you
Thank you so much Sherry 💓
Loved this. Thank you
Thanks again, very much Sherry 🥰💓🥰
So beautiful and relaxing to watch
Thank you Amy. That's lovely to hear😄🥰💕
I absolutely love your colors. But the volume is so low ican barely hear you, and the volume is up all the way on my phone.
I think you have a lovely voice but it is very soft.
Tthank you for this video. I love it.
Beautiful jewellery. Thanks for showing how you make it
My pleasure Rene😊Thank you ever so much for watching. I hope that you give it a try. It is very satisfying and enjoyable. Cheers, Alison Hood 💕
So peaceful and your creations are stunning. Truly gifted and patient…
Hi Gina, that is so very kind of you to say. Thank you! 🥰💓🥰
I am a new artist in Mexico city, and videos like your help me because inspiren me
Awwww, thank you Carmen. I'm ever so glad that they are helping you💕
Beautiful jewellery and fab tutorial, so relaxing to watch too. Thank you.
Thank you so much! 🥰 I'm glad that you enjoyed watching.💕
VThank you so much for sharing this technique with us! I’ve never seen this style before. It’s very incredible! You’re awesome! 🎉
Awwww, thank you Donna! You have made my day! I hope that you enjoy making some jewellery yourself. It really is very easy to do and they really do turn out awesome! Alison Hood 💓
Your finished pour really looked like a colorful Heart ❤️ 😮😊
Thanks, yes. Thanks for your lovely comment 💓💕
Hi Alison and thank you so much. Beautiful just learning paint pouring jewelry
Hi Molly, you are very welcome. It's a lot of fun to do. I'm pleased that I have helped you 🥰💕
What a great tutorial, I really appreciated you showing how the completed piece looked when completed, they are all so pretty!
Love those earring bezels. I do acrylic skin jewelry but haven’t seen those bezels.
Thank you June. In the description field, below the video, I have put links to all the products in the video. Have you been able to find the one that you are interested from those links?
This was a very good video. I have made these in the past and they sell quite well.
Thanks you very much Annette. That is very kind of you to say. Yes, I find that they sell quite well too.💖
Incredible!!! I love this technique !!
Thanks so much Dawn! I'm glad that you like it.💕
Very beautiful and unique jewelry!! Thanks for the tutorial!! :)
Thank you so much! I'm glad that you enjoyed it.
Best wishes, Alison Hood 💕
Beautiful jewelry, and a great tutorial. Thank you!
Thank you so much Jayne! Thanks heaps for letting me know what you think. Alison Hood 💕
Hi! My first time watching one of your videos. Wow! So very nice! How clever of you to use the golf tees and the styrofoam! I will be watching more as I really want to do this!
Thanks so much, Sonja! 💖💓💖
I did get the idea of the golf tees and styrofoam from someone else.
Hey Alison, these are some beautiful jewelry pieces. Some of the pieces are some that I haven’t seen before. Thanks for showing your technique.
Hi Mary, thank you ever so much!💓 💕
How clever. Love the colors
Thank you. Very much appreciated.🥰
Thank you so much for this excellent lesson.
Thank you Sarah 💓 . This is such fun to do and very rewarding. I hope that you are enjoying doing them. Cheers, Alison Hood💕
❤ I love this they are very beautiful . I just might give this a try
Thank you Carolyn. I hope that you do. It really is as easy as it looks and they do turn out amazing! 💕
Thank you for sharing this. Jewelry is beautiful
Thank you Juanita and thank you so much for watching 💕💓💕
All so pretty and each different. Nice job. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Marilyn! 😊💕
Amazing very indepth from start to finish Thankyou can you use any acrylic paint or is it a special pouring paint
Thanks for sharing Alison. I use toothpicks but am def going to get some golf tees....
Hi Catherine, thanks for watching. I've not used toothpicks but the golf tees sure work well. Have fun with it! 💓 💕
@@artwithalison. ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous 👏🤗
Thank you so very much! 🥰 Thank you for watching. If you go to my playlists on my channel, you can find more videos for doing the jewellery.
Where did you get your open cuff bracelets I really like those and would like to purchase some
Totally cool video...thanks for the inspiration!!!
Excellent! Thank you. Enjoy..... 💓💕
This is fantastic! Thanks for the detailed product list! One thing I don’t see is the peg board thingy - did you make it?
Hello, did the links work for you? I would appreciate you letting me know, as I am new to this. Thanks, Alison
Just love it alot easier than what i was doing. Were did you get the owls love them to,cant wait for your next video 😊😊.
@@artwithalison Aah, silly me, I should have looked earlier, sorry, I see your link now. :-) You are an amazing teacher by the way. Thank you again.
Awww, you are ever so kind. Thank you! Made my day! 💕💓💕
Very beautiful. How long do you let the paint dry before you put it in the bezel? How long after that do you sell them?
I am also looking for a way to hold the cabs so thank's. Al ittle Lou spider would be nice though
Thank you.
Love this!
Thank you Susan. Much appreciated 💓
Oh my Alison you inspire me! Do you use silver or stainless steel for most of your jewelry?
They opened, thank you!
Oh, excellent! Thank you for letting me know. 💓

Thanks heaps Sherry 💓
Cool idea.🙂
Thanks heaps Cheryl 😄💕
Love to know where you get your jewelry findings - they are unique and gorgeous. How long do you cure the paints? Thanks in advance for this video.
I love these! Where do you get your settings?
Hi Cindy, I am in the process of trying to add links to the description, which will, hopefully, take you to various settings I used in this video. I thought that I should do this, as I have a lot of viewers asking the same question. Even though, I'm in Australia and you are likely in another country, hopefully it will still work. Give me another hour or so and most of the links should be there. Thanks for your kind comment, Alison Hood 💕
Hi Alison. Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial, the results are gorgeous. Could you please tell me the ratio of floetrol to each paint colour? Thanks 😊
Don’t worry now Alison. I just saw your response to the other lady 😊
I love your technique! I’m very interested in where you get the pretty jewelry blanks you used. I’m always looking for pretty ones!❤
Thank you Elizabeth. I buy most of my jewellery product from Amazon Australia. I expect that you could find them on any other country's Amazon. I search for things like 'jewellery findings', and bezel. Some artists find some lovely ones on Etsy.

You can even frame your pour when you’re finished.
ArtWithAlison where do you get all of your beautiful jewelry pieces? I’ve not found anything like yours on Amazon
If you look in the description area, just below the video, I have listed all the jewellery pieces and have included a link to each of them. I joined the affiliate program with Amazon so that I could do this, as I get heaps of questions like yours. Please let me know if the links work for you, as I've only recently done this. What a good idea
Thank you Linda 💕
All are amazing. ❤❤❤. Where do you get all your cabochons and other pieces from?
Thank you! I get them from Amazon Australia.
I'm thinking about making some jewellery but haven't
done so yet.
Thanks! Happy New Year!@@artwithalison
Thank you Anne and Happy New Year for you as well! 🎊🥳💓🎊
Here is a link to my video #161 which shows how I mix my paints: ua-cam.com/video/AnzC-zqeq2g/v-deo.html
If I am using Liquitex Basics, it is probably 2 parts Floetrol to one part paint.
Here is the link: www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09FYS64V4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
To make sure that the paint doesn't come away from the cabochon, it is important to clean the bezel as well as the cabochon with rubbing alcohol.
@@artwithalison Thank you so much. I really appreciate it.
Beautiful. Please could you tell what brand products you use.
By doing this, in the description field of the video, I have been able to put links to where people can find the same product if the Amazon in their country has it. I get a small commission if anyone buys from one of the links. Though, my main reason is to help other artists. Best wishes, Alison Hood
@@artwithalison That was a detailed explanation. Can't thank you enough for this. Keep inspiring us with your videos. Love them :)
Awwww, thank you Shriya! I'm always happy to help if I can 💕
Hi Allison. I love your❤ channel. I was wondering where you buy your bezels and cabachons.
Hi Stana, thank you 💓.
I buy them from Amazon Australia.
Beautiful. Did you design the owls as well?
Thank you Beverly, No, I buy the settings. I do the art that goes into the settings.
Do you have to do anything else to these besides glue them in?
Hello Patricia, When I make stud earrings by gluing the stud to the back, I first will varnish over the paint to seal the exposed paint. Whereas, the cabochons going into the trays, I just glue them straight in as the glue seals the paint.
Where do you buy all your bezels? Do you have a link? Your art is AMAZING!
Thanks heaps Chris! 💓 I buy them from Amazon Australia. Best wishes, Alison 💕
@@artwithalison thank you for your reply. You have some beautiful pieces. 💜
Does any kind of plate will work?
Hi Sandy, yes, so long as it is waterproof, as in, it's not a paper plate. Also, not too porous, otherwise the paint might stain your plate. I use a plate as it contains the paint and enable you to use as much or as little paint as you like. Thank you for watching. I have just put up a video on how I mix my paints, in case you are interested. Best wishes, Alison
Can you save ink in those plastics with lid?
I don't know as I've not tried that.
What did you put on the golf tee to stick the cabochons on
Poster putty. It's what you stick posters to your wall with.
Do you make skins if you don't use all the paint
The left over paint I sometimes use to dip coasters or bookmarks (videos coming up) and I always scrape up the remaining left over paint to use in another pour. I don't make skins.
Alison, what kind of prices do you typically charge for your jewelry, say your thin pendant and matching earrings? I realize that there is probably a differnce betwen AU and US.
I sell a set of pendant and earrings for around $39 AU. Otherwise, earrings on their own are around $20-$25 AU and pendants are also in that price range.
Thank you@@artwithalison

Thank you Missi 🥰
how long can paint stay in the containers?
I've had some of my paints in containers for over a year and they've still been fine. The container needs to be airtight. Also, I have found that if I have added water to the mix, they don't keep. My paints are usually made with just acrylic paint and Australian Floetrol. I hope this helps, Alison Hood
What price do you sell your sets for
Usually around $40 Australian Dollars
I have never seen the rectangular glass pieces
Where can they be bought?
Hello, I buy them through Amazon Australia.

Is this jewelry for sale? How much do they cost?
Hello Elaine, I'm pretty sure that most of these are already sold. I might have one or two pieces left. They are mostly around $25 Australian dollars, plus postage.
Hi again i cant hear you very well,is there some way to turn up volume. 😮😊
I'm sorry that you can't hear me very well. Check that the volume on your device is on full. If you have ear buds or earphones, using them can help. Also, you can click on the closed caption button (CC) and that will bring up the subtitles, which may help as well.
I'm sorry I couldn't really hear you
I'm sorry that you can't hear me.
Are you saying words?
Yes. If you find it hard to understand my Australian accent, there are subtitles which you can find by clicking on the CC (Closed Captions).
cant hear you please turn up your videos
I'm sorry that you can't hear me, Gina. I am in the process of typing out the subtitles, so that you can, at least, read what I am saying. This is a long process, so please be patient with me. Alison
Very hard to hear you.
I'm sorry that you can't hear me.
Nice jewellery but music is annoying to listen to
