Here I listed top 10 reasons why you must be choosing anesthesiology as your career option.

Dear Dr my first suggestion will be to have a bit soothing music with low volume for this kind of knowledge sharing video. I am a retired anesthesiologist and found practicing this branch needed to be on call all the time. Three important points; One anaesthesia practice is best done in a group practice where surgeons are familiar and friendly. Secondly it is best done in partnership with second anesthesiologist as we are on call all the time. Lastly if we want glory then anaesthesia is not a field to practice. It is a very gratifying field for ourselves only. Patients look for famous or popular surgeons not anaesthetist. If money is priority field of Anaesthesia is least desirable. This is my experience and opinion. Many anaesthetist may disagree.

Most of my friends give me aww look when I say I will take anesthesia. Most of fresh mbbs graduates have the age-old mindset that anesthesia is for last rankers and dependant branch. But I did my house job in anesthesia and I love their job.
When your friend look down on you for taking anesthesia then why are you bothered to convince non medical people 😂.
If you really like anesthesia then just take it.
Your parents will not be with you in your workplace.

Thankyou dr for this informative video. One thing to clear up: in my country ICU and anaesthesia diverged in 2000 because there was just too much to study (anaesthesiast I know has no knowledge about say electrolyte balance of refeeding syndrome) but it seems from this video anesthesiologists in India still study ICU type medicine. Also how long did it take you to become an anaesthesiasts? I am asking as a writer.

Of course. You get the Dr prefix right after your mbbs ,then y not after your pg. As for steth yes they need it to check vitals during surgery even though there are monitors and they also have to manage icu patients, so a stethoscope is inevitable.
I think he was talking about MSc anesthesia, if that is the case it will not give u a prefix. You will be anesthesia technician.

First query is that always anaesthesiology filled at last ranks in counseling, why is it so?? Becoz of really any so called "saturation" or less fame in this or something else ?? Becoz moneywise it's a decent rewarding I know this.

Anesthesiology is a POST GRADUATION course after MBBS first do Crack NEET UG and then after MBBS do Crack NEED PG and then go for anesthesia. It's not a course to do after the 12 standard.

you have to study MBBS first for 6 years then after that do NEET PG( Post graduate) exam .... if u got decent rank in PG exams then u can take anesthesiology. You have a long journey my friend

THERE IS NO SHORTCUT FOR ANESTHESIA SPECIALIST. FIRST CLEAR NEET ,THEN FINISH MBBS .AFTER THAT CLEAR NEET PG EXAMS, IF U GOT A GOOD RANKS THEN ONLY U CAN STUDY ANESTHESIA. ITS A VERY VERY LONG PROCESS. IF ITS EASY THEN EVERYBODY WILL BE ANESTHESIOLOGIST
After mbbs diploma in anesthesia is also a option without doing MD in anesthesia
