As for me, Hua Se Lei really stole my soul like that and I want it back. The whole cast is a gem honestly. It took me a while to warm up to Ah Si, his personality is very difficult to say the least LMAO. OKAY BUT WHEN LEI SAID " I don't usually take back what I've given away." BICH I FELT THAT AND A HALF, that was foreshadowing af. I have so many mixed feelings about these two, but in the end, their friendship was beautiful.

In the beginning of their relationship, huaze lei still liked jing and everyone knows that but he also liked shancai, when he wanted to pursue shancai again, he said so it was to challenge and help Daoming Si but that wasn’t fully true. You could really tell that when him and shancai first broke up so she could be with Daoming Si, that he was so in love with her. He went to london just because he was worried about her, he played the violin at the restaurant and was looking at shancai the whole time, he played the violin for shancai at graduation. That was love ❤️. They probably have one of those stories where they don’t meet again until they become older and Shancai becomes a widow, and has lei to help her get through it and they start falling for each other again.

I agree. Si is just a boy who has never learned to love, and when it happens he cannot handle it. Gradually he understands how to control his character and his feelings, both the positive and negative ones. I love his evolution as a person. Lei is sweet but too introvert. He seems to be an Asperger. Actually he talks about autism. I don't think Shancai would be the right person for him even if he's adorable. She and Si are meant to be together and grow together in spite of their fights. Besides, I think she is afraid of love and being so totally loved and Si is destroying her defenses with his passionate mood. I adore them.

I’m so sad that they didn’t get together. Not the mention the fact that daomingsi literally assaulted her many times, like when he forced her to kiss him and literally traumatized her. Huazelei truly cared about her and honestly he is such a good friend for not trying to steal dong shancai but honestly shancai liked lei so there is no betrayal there. Si can force shancai to like him and make lei agree. Si does have character development but both of them are hot headed and energetic they will fight all the time. Their life is not going to be happy since neither of them will understand each other. I just personally think si is just a walking red flag, he is abusive, arrogant, doesn’t listen to shancai and is childish. Sure he has helped shancai in many situations that doesn’t get rid of the fact that he basically assaulted her in the first few episodes. Lei didn’t even betray him shancai chose to like him. I love lei with all my heart he deserved better ❤️
