This was such a great episode! Thank you ladies. Katherine inspired me to think of my own word of the year during January. I decided on 'Lightness' - both in the sense of buying less and decluttering, and taking life more lightly and less seriously :)

I learned to say "goal" not "resolution". Makes a big difference!!! My goal for this year is to be a calmer mom and work on mu stress management and emotional regulation. It's hard when we never had that correctly modeled to us as kids. But I don't want my kids to feel how I did growing up. Stopping cycles is hard...but definitely my focus.

I have many goals for this yr. But something new that was put into my mind was a motto for the yr. My motto this yr is "getting into position"💖. So my goals correlate with my motto of the year.

Ever since I became an adult i don't make them either in fact idr the last time i did them when i was younger but my mother in law does make us eat lentils for idk what reason and idc but i just do what makes her happy. After she leaves this earth idk if my husband will continue this tradition

I was taught to not ask for help because if i did I'd be smacked and when i returned to God everyone wanted to help me and I was no longer afraid to ask for help ❤
I got rid of my entire closet except for 2 things.... Things i hadn't worn in more than 5 years and i felt so much lighter!
I used to have phobias (maybe i still do) but God healed me
