This was a really fun day!! But I need to say I definitely don't like that panel brand! Even the standard base looks like a lot wires!! But is cool to learn new things!! Thanks for sharing!! Stay safe!! Have a good weekend!! ...
@@Roxxofoxxo The panel at the school is ridiculous my biggest concern is if there is a long power outage and battery back up fails after a while when power is restored the system always pops up with random alarms around the building for no apparent reason
ok new better idea install those soundbases low frequency for each duct detector or smoke, heat detectors so they will have a fully functional false alarm prevention. and a fire mist so none of the water will be flooded with volume. and also outlets might be electric hazard too if it's wet.
If this was filmed by CJ9899 in 2012: *looks at smoke detector* Goanimate voice: Smoke detector, you caused a false alarm. That's it. You are GROUNDED GROUNDED GROUNDED GROUNDED for 999999 years.
What happened with the exit sign? Did you take it out? I would think of that as an electrical hazard and would think it would have to be removed for safety purposes. I was just wondering. Great relocation of the detector! You did a fantastic job. I wish to do work like that one day.
We left it in there for now as we couldn’t pull it out live because of the metal mounting bracket so we would have to turn off the whole circuit which we didn’t want to do because School was in
I am in Canada I’m not sure what it’s called but the school district has some sort of constant work permit where small projects aren’t required to have a permit pulled but for some large things it will still be inspected but no permits are pulled but for a large place like the school district most of the time inspectors won’t even care to look at things because they trust that the work has been done well
The photo electric detector has less false alarms and the text the most deadly type of fire slow smoldering. But there should be door sensor technology in smoke detectors ionization and photoelectric in the same unit.
So are you going to put like a heat detector where that smoke detector was when you put the new system in? I am guessing not because there is a sprinkler right there, but just wanted to know.
The fire sprinklers activate at 135°F (57°C) for Orange Colored Bulbs and for Red colored bulbs at 155°F (68°C), but the smoke detectors activate at around 100°F (38°C). So this means the smoke detectors activate before the fire sprinklers
@@joeycaridi3030 Interesting I always see the green bulbs in the boiler rooms mechanical rooms and electrical rooms obviously places that would get to a high temperature regularly
Sure sounds like it, same tone as my middle and high schools which used the Bogen Multicom 2000 system. They also had it wired to chime when the fire alarm was activated.
@@IanGSully It needs to be replaced but my school district has been making the dumb decision to replace systems by age not reliability as the system is only five years old it might be here for a while but I can’t see it lasting that long

Nice Job, your lucky the EST panel did not catch on fire when you touched it.
I was a little worried about that
@@nics-systems-electric I would be worried the panel would get a cpu failure if I looked at it wrong XD

Where are you located? I'm guessing not in the states.
Where you are, do you have to do plan review and permit from the AHJ to move a device?
