I just watched a video, a little late.
I put questions for when you want to answer:
1.- What is your personal opinion of the reissues of vintage watches?
2.- What complication is your favourite? which one do you like the least? Which one would you like to have?
3.- Generic or homemade caliber? why?
4.-What caliber do you think is overvalued? which underrated?
5.-How far do you think an amateur watchmaker can go in maintaining his own watches without having to own specialized or expensive machinery?
6.- What do you think is the best way to start learning watch repair: Buy a watch that is old or in poor condition (Poljot, Seiko, etc.) or an inexpensive caliber (such as the Seagull ST36) to assemble and disassemble?

Hi Oscar, thank you for your questions! I very much appreciate them.
      Here are my answers:
      1. True reissues with modern movements are amazing, but usually manufacturers either do them as limited editions or try to give them a modern twist. I like some of the current Heuers f.e. but a 60s reissue of a three-handed Patek would be amazing.
      2. I hate helium valves (not a true complication though), I love chronographs and I would like to see and own a modern mechanical alarm/notification/countdown-timer complication. Nobody has made one as far as I know, but I think it would be amazing.
      3. Both are great and deserve their place.
I will answer the rest of the questions soon. Promised! What are your answers?

1.- If it is a watch that is no longer in production, and that is updated with a better mechanism, or better yet with a NOS, I completely agree; I love them, as long as they don't make them huge (from 34 mm to 41 mm: P) I really like what Nivada Grenchen is doing by reissuing her entire old catalog.
2.- My favorite complications are chronographs and annual calendars, they fascinate me. Least favorites: The tourbillons, I can't connect the price with the usefulness and appearance. Some of my Grails are the MIH annual calendar and mono pusher chronograph, and the Zenith El Primero Chronomaster annual calendar with moon face.
      3.- I agree with you.
When you answer the other questions I will do the same.
      Thank you :)
