Dave Matthews Band - #34 w/ Lyrics

- Опубліковано 26 бер 2009
- This song made a brief span of appearances in early 1993. It was inspired by and written for Miguel Valdez, a percussionist who sat in with the band in 1992 and who passed away in early 1993. It was finally released in 1994 on Under the Table and Dreaming (track #34) as an instrumental track.
Miguel is my father. I thank whoever uploaded this song because it is so great to kno that he is known for making great music. I thank the Dave Matthews Band for making this song for him!
long life Miguel Sixto...
I LOVE YOU DADDY!
~Kaila~
kv804 get ahold of Dave sometime, -he would love to talk with you and would appreciate your love of this
That is so sweet!
It's so interesting when you read all the comments, this some makes some people want this song played at their funeral others wanna dance to it another wants it at her wedding. It beautiful the way music can invoke so many different emotions in people 😊 another great dmb song! Thanks band
One of their best. Nothing like old school dmb . Unreal
LeRoi's saxophone solo in this is just so god damn heart warming. Very beautiful.
how can you possibly dislike a song dedicated to a great man and friend to the band?
A healing feel to this one. Beautiful.
I cry every time I hear this. I remember finding this version on BitTorrent or whatever years & years ago and listening on my iPod every night while falling asleep. It’s so beautiful.
Holy crap... I never knew. Have loved this song all these years, and am only now discovering there are lyrics?!? What a lost treasure... ❤🙏
It’s crazy how fast 9 minutes can fly by when you’re listening to DMB.
This song is so amazing. I’ve loved since I first heard it in 1994.
I listened to this song on AOL dialup on a modem, let’s say 24 years ago. I loved it then and I’ll always live it now.
My new husband quoted this song in his wedding vows to me!
Which lyrics
I'm sorry for your loss, kv804. Just as we all lost someone great in losing LeRoi Moore, the same goes for your father. May both of their lights shine on us forever. I'm happy to see this tribute and the full version of this song here. Thanks for posting this. DMB forever!
Never have read so many deeply touching comments on a song. As a poet, I am astounded by the lyrics. Gorgeously deep,
There is absolutely no doubt from the instrumental side of this song alone: that your father was a great man. When I have a day off, I always try to start my day off with the instrumental version of this song. It has to be a honor to know such a man, much less be his child! I'm just glad as an outsider; that Dave Matthews shared their inspirations from your father in the form of a song. I'm inspired in knowing that the genetics of such inspirations continue on through the actions of love.
I live way out in the middle of nowhere and work in the city, on my drive home there is nothing like this song turned all the way up with the windows down.
Forever dancing with the groogrux king! #DMB #LoVE #GruX
What a friggin song. My soul hears and feels it. Life is so wonderful.
This is my favorite piece from DMB, never knew there were lyrics.... AWESOME!!!

Agree in every way.

i have been looking all over for video of someone dancing to this song. it does not exist and that makes me sad. it would be a great contemporary dance piece and i would like to see it.

My favorite version of #34.

i agree completely. its fabulous. it may have just been a live thing but if you find this track, please send me a message. ;)
Just bought the album. The track actually goes from 11 and skips all the way to 34 to play this song.
No way...
Cool!!
Leroy Is the best saxophonist of the entire galaxy..
❤❤❤
Roi = make me :) RIP my brother.
RIP Roi. . .
This songggg 💔. I hope he'll perform it in concert this year I kind of doubt it though
He might.. But highly likely he won't. Its only been performed 11 times and only TWICE with lyrics :/
Trevor Nail are u going to see him in concert this summer and if so where? I'm looking for a different venue to go to
Tahoe 2018 first time since 2016. And it was awesome
Had the clear tape!
on the actual album this song was hidden as the 34th track after a lot of blank tracks
❤❤❤❤LEROI❤❤❤❤
Leroi i love you
theres a great verison of this song off the weekend on the rocks album.. no lyrics but great portrayal of leroi's musical talent
This is like the modern day version of Sleepwalk.
Nate Powers true
i miss Roi :(
every day.
what are some other DMB songs that are similar to this? few words...with a major smooth jazzy feel to it. this (among other things) is nice for studying/relaxing
@imslickrick79 As morbid as dying at 34 would be, I think this would be a great song choice. Not too mushy, but still rather emotional and touching. That's quite an odd coincidence about all your '34' experiences.
Where can I get a copy of this version? I have it on Under The Table but I would like it with the words for my wedding.
first off read the description. it's a 'hidden track' on the Under the Table and dreaming album. If you past all the fake tracks you'll come to the song.
#36 is close..
Does anyone know where you can get a #34 with the lyrics on cd or download?
under the table and dreaming cd
@imslickrick79 you know what's crazy? as i read this, i looked at the clock, and it said 3:34!
I love it.....it's a great "after sex" song....haha
> Click on good song.
