Your pea salad looks yummy....My Aunt Pat's specialty was her pea salad back in the 50's. I still eat it (and love it) but what I treasure most is watching her make it...she used canned peas, drained,diced onion, diced celery, hard boiled eggs, and velveeta cheese cut into small pieces..it was dressed with Miracle Whip...I use real mayo with a little sugar and vinegar in place of the MW. This was a family favorite and I never make it w/0 remembering the origin.

@@simplefoodsimplelife9632 I grew up eating Miracle Whip but thought it was mayonnaise...I was schooled by an upset customer at daddy's restaurant who'd ordered his hamburger with mayo...daddy used Miracle Whip...I insisted the burger had mayo on it...he informed me it was Miracle Whip...he was right, it was MW but I thought they were one and the same...once I got used to mayo which seemed bland in comparison, mayo became my preference ...Dukes is my favorite..today's MW doesn't taste like the MW I remember..I'm thinking it has more sugar and less fat today.....all of the family recipes called for MW so I learned to add vinegar and sugar to make mine taste 'right' b/c I used real mayo.

Just need a grocery list with mayo; pepper; how about a little mustard (teaspoon) as an additive. I like to use MARZETTI SLAW DRESSING, but you like sweet and it is probably a little too TANGY for you. But give it a taste in salads ie. chix salad . Enjoy
Marzetti is excellent. We love their Caesar dressing too.
I love Mazetti slaw dressing! I used to buy it all the time when making slaw. It’s been years. I love tangy. I eat lemons with salt. Sour, salty tangy are favorite flavors. Thank you Brenda for the reminder.
