- It's Year 3 of the Madden 24 Saints Franchise. We've accepted the rebuilding role and have started overhauling the existing roster. We're expecting the rookie class to play many roles this season, and even have new Quarterbacks. I'm hoping this year we can lay a new foundation and identity to take into the future.
My Franchise on Madden 24 begins with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints offer a unique challenge compared to any other team looking at their future cap space problems and aging roster. The Saints are not a bad team in 2023 at all. But their future could not be anymore problematic as cap restraints will cause them to move on from players, including some of their aging veterans they still rely on.
I aim for a more sim feel to my Franchises. I play on All Madden sliders that promote a more realistic play style. I have developed my own XP sliders to create a more authentic feel to Franchise in terms of developing young players and replacing regressing veterans.
This will be my biggest Madden 24 series, and I'm excited to get the rebuild underway. - Ігри
Westbrook has been very good so far. If the comments can't see the potential with him, I don't know what else to say. Some of those throws are special

yeah but he always had top draft picks get good cause the game works like that. we wanted to see an alternative like the purdy route. THis isn't real life and i think a lot of us like the storylines.

Mayweather may have missed a few less throws but also not had the arm for a couple of the deeper ones. So for a first round pick we used it seems maybe we could have got similar production from mayweather..... . Though westbrook is younger giving him a much higher ceiling in theory

Westbrook is showing a lot of promise but man, that delivery is killer. You really can’t throw to any timing routes without it being a huge gamble
I actually see the true glimmers of hope with Westbrook. He has so much potential and can be a stud. Just please start him all season no matter what because you’ll never develop a QB if you keep pulling them
Gotta take the underneath passes and the flats. Dont need to get 10 yards every play, just need to average 4 yards a play.
I think Westbrook is doing okay. My biggest concern after preseason was his accuracy (he only completed 50% of his passes vs. Mayweather’s 60%). Also, I wanna see Skelton probably get some 3rd Downs, for screens or wheel routes with his WR background and speed. Keep up the great work Cane!
Westbrook has looked good. Some bad user plays arent his fault and some occasional missed passes, but he was solid throughout. The accuracy slider could be boosted a bit.
Not it shouldn't. He has some low accuracy stats and a long wind up. Cane chose him and shouldn't adjust things now because he isn't doing well. That is part of having a rookie QB.

I think it’s 81 short but still shouldn’t miss 5 yard clean pocket throws. No qb should miss those. I mean even if ur throw rating is in the 70s u should be able to make that pass.
Westbrook's first two games had 48% and 47% completion percentages. That's definitely a rough start.
A lot of those were throw out of sack incompletions tho
Sub-50% is objectively bad though. Tim Tebow numbers.

Both of those problems are solved with a better O-line play or when not vs 2 x factor pass rushers. Didn't help today either the run game was invisible. I'll admit tho he did miss a couple of can't miss throws which is inexcusable. He is still better than Mayweather tho in potential and a out the same in skill when the o line holds up for more than a 7 step dropback

I love your work Cane and I'll never stop watching these amazing videos. That being said, on the curl/comeback routes you gotta throw the ball before the receiver turns around, because if you don't, the corner will have a chance to make up the space the receiver creates by stopping in place! Great work tho!
To tell if a guy is gonna be open, look at their side of the field and see if someone is gonna be able to undercut the route
@@sh8dyw8yzwhen I run those curl routes I always go off the safety. If I see the safety go outside I go to a second read. If the safety starts moving to the middle of the field I will throw the curl route just before the receiver makes his break at the top of the route. Easy work
@@ozymandiastheking2139 the safety is a great cue too, I feel like it's like "ok this guy clearly has a one on one so I'll throw it", if both guys have a crowded field, I just check it down and run. If not, it's an easy 7-11 yards every time
As a Wake Forest student it sucks to see AT Perry go but this made sense for both him and the team.

You need to take what the defense is giving you. Throughout these two games, there were wide open players underneath. Westbrook, I think, has potential, but you have to be patient and take what the defense is giving you.

As someone who really wants Mayweather to play Westbrook has shown me flashes of special but seems to be a little inaccurate with gimme throws if he can improve that his completion percentage will go up and I think he'll have a much easier time operating the offense.

I miss Mayweather but also you GOTTA stop with the timing routes. They do not work in Madden.
They work if you execute them well but you can’t throw a curl once the WR is facing you, asking to get picked off (especially against Jaire of all corners…)
While i am pro mayweather i get why westbrook is the guy.
He just isnt ready yet and overthrowing pearman of all recievers lol was proof to that.
The sad fact is cane could win now with mayweather and its a great story.

Waiting for the potential when you gotta kill the series in a couple months is the pickle.
Looking at the brief scouting… RB Zach Hillhouse has generational written all over it…. Focus on run offense and stopping the run on defense next offseason with the development of the talent you already have

- Again, it's just so easy to take the easy completions. Cane started so well and then quickly that disappeared
- Westbrook* once again has inflated numbers of 372 yards passing and 3 TD's , but my goodness that 47% completion percentage is horrendous.
- Westbrook* probably should have thrown about 5 picks this game including the wounded duck bailout catch on the final drive.
- Olave's fluke TD is peak Madden
- Kendre Miller still outplayed Roby, despite the run game being abandoned and not given a shot in the second half.
- It is time to move on from Brian Bresee. He cannot stay healthy and isn't the impact player even when he's on the field.
- I think it's a fair critique to say maybe Tommy Tomlinson was a one year wonder.
- The run defense is still abhorrent. If the Packers had just kept running I don't think the Saints would have even been in the game in the second half.

It was a mediocre game from Westbrook, but it was also a far worse game by the offensive line - that literally nonexistent run game put it all on his shoulders in just the second game of his career. He showed lots of flashes, which is all you reasonably ask here.
Look to trade Mayweather and Breese. Mayweather would get an opportunity and stop being a distraction for Westbrook. Breese isn’t coming back and we’ve seen time and time again teams trade premium for injury prone players. Should get a 2nd or a solid player out of him

10:37 I love how Ramczyk sprints away from the defender right across from him at the start of the play to block nobody and then acts shocked when said defender makes the TFL.
I like how Greenwell runs into the defenders back and they call pass interference on the db.
He’s so putting in Mayweather by mid season.
This game highlighted the young and not great overalled O-line. Maybe as the games go on the RBs will be giving more of a chance but in this one, the O-line couldnt run block.

If Mayweather isn’t going to play I think he should be traded somewhere he can get an opportunity.
What we really need is a simultaneous alternate universe playthrough of Mayweather and Westbrook starting. But that ain't happening, so let's hope Westbrook can improve that accuracy a tad.

Westbrook looks really solid. His slow release isn't doing well on dig routes. Also, I think, despite his mistakes, it was the run game and defense that didn't help. They are still not getting off the field on 3rd downs.
Hey Cane, I think the Perry trade was cool, but do you think you could add more of those to the franchise? Maybe at the end of the season you could have us vote in the offseason stream and trade a player away. Doesn't have to be on the Saints either. Like if a rookie QB ended up with a top tier receiver it could add another element to the franchise. Just to give the franchise more personality, kinda like the Broncos series.

Game play has looked so much more realistic. The slider adjustments are paying off in my opinion. I'm gonna watch regardless. But it's nice not seeing cane get hosed by some scrub qb rolling out under pressure and completing a cross body 40 yard dime

It doesn't matter who is your quarterback if your run game is that horrendous. You just can't be that one dimensional, especially with a rookie qb. Keep rocking with Westbrook, hes gonna be good he just needs the experience to improve

The interior offensive line is looking unrealistically bad. Like the guards and center give up their blocks immediately every play. Slider issue?
Westbrook made some crazy throws but he also missed routine throws not unlike Derek Carr.
The first INT is a common one in this game, DBs seem to make that play a lot. The second one was on Cane.
Green Bays defense in this gane is probably the hardest to run against.
Bryan Bresee needs to be traded at the deadline, the dude could of been elite but holy crap he us made of glass. Once he is healthy, don't play him so you can actually trade him. It doesn't matter what you get for him, even if its a 7th round pick.

I was on the side that didn't want to draft a QB and felt like Mayweather had earned a shot to be the starter next year. This franchise unfortunately went in a different direction and at this point I think it's worth keeping Westbrook as the starter for gamey reasons since he could get a dev boost with an offensive rookie of the year award. It really stinks, because I think that if Madden didn't have development/player ratings (or if such things were hidden) Mayweather would have remained the starter based on how he had played last year. You draft a QB in the first round you're going to start him though, so here's to praying that Westbrook works out (because Mayweather isn't going to get the dev necessary to start in the future now).
Cane, i think you should consider change Westbrook's throwing mechanic, next Off-season, in the condition if he plays well and earn a dev increase. His slow mechanic are giving me Malik Willis PTSD, and you can say that he trained to evolve his mechanic.
That kind of defeats the purpose of building up the team over time. Westbrook is who he is, traits and all, you either adapt to his throwing motion, or he's not the guy in the long run.
@@paulkollars6667 that's true and i also agree with that, but as in real life, we saw in the past and also today Quarterbacks perfecting and his mechanics through their careers. When i suggest Cane to change his mechanic, I'm not asking him to change for a Dan Marino's slinger throw mechanic who can throw everywhere like is nothing, just to normal throw mechanic.

You had no reason to draft a QB, and now you have one that is apparently near sighted.
The 2 early picks were user error and all his inaccurate throws came at bad times so kinda a toss up. Mayweather could have thrown 2 picks that were user error and lost the game so next game.
Maybe if we didn't focus on a second QB when we had a starter, we could have focused more on the defense. But no...had to get a rookie QB.
