- We finally broke down and bought a '15 Dodge. 1915 that is, an early 20th century Dodge automobile that was way ahead of its time.

It has a whistle, so no need for a hemi
Awesome! Thanks for sharing 👍
Adding the pics at the end was excellent. Really cool to see these old cars live on
Isn't it wild that this was someone's "really old car" back in the '50s and it's still going today? -es
@@Challengeher your sister is my teachers freind!
I love this so much
Super jealous of the new car. Of course my reaction to "my hoopties are hard to find parts for and keep running" is "man, a prewar would be rad to have."
So cool!
Swing by for a ride next time you're in town, Stef. -es
Great car, thanks for the tour of your beauty at the Spring Fling show at Woodley.
This car reminds me of the Beverly hillbillies, cool car guys, I like it!!! I like all kinds of cars.
Thanks for sharing, it is beautiful and now I want one!
The Dodge Brothers were engineering geniuses. It would have been interesting to see how they would have helped shape the auto industry.
This is a fantastic step towards the ultimate goal of a steam or spring powered vehicle! I noticed among the many sophisticated improvements on the competitor one more that you didn't highlight - a functioning drivers door. Model Ts didn't have such luxury! Big fan of the new purchase.
Great! Now come over and experience perfection. You'll be dumping all those model T's back into the barns of which they came. Also, keep an eye out for Dodge Brothers parts in your pickings from now on.
Very Cool, thanks for sharing. BTW- I almost missed this Video in my feed, because I saw the cover photo and didn't look at what channel it was from and skipped over it at first, then came back later and read it was Your channel, and I'm a Mopar guy and a big fan of you guys, and so I'm glad I clicked on it and watched it, your longest vid in a while, but super cool... Now I want one too !...lol
Always love y’all’s videos. Hope to see more of this fine machine too.
Super Neat
Absolutely loved that thank you!
Mooie video van een prachtige oldtimer. Ben zelf in het bezit van een Dodge Brothers 1920 open tourer waarvan de restauratie nagenoeg is afgerond. Groeten uit Nederland
As a Scatpack Challenger owner I want one. Great great grand dad.
Love it, great purchase!!!
Very fun, thanks Tom!
Pumping up fuel tanks. Back in the 60s 70s the factory fuel pump was used to pressurise the fuel tank,, blowing instead of sucking. This once worked out worked really well. For speedway engines on methanol there was few fuel pumps capable of giving enough capacity. This on 6 and V8 sedans as well as some midgets. Which had used handpumps to presussurise fuel to the carbs. A friend used this set up on a s/c Holden 192 ci 6 feeding 3 2" SUs making about 350hp. In the late 60s
As for a 15 Dodge they were for the time well built and functional vehicles,, far better than Tin Lizzies though more expensive
A sweet classic!!. This must be the oldest one in your fleet...
Delightful car! I especially enjoyed the old photos at the end.
Aren't they sweet? That was Tom's excellent edit idea. -es
That was brilliant :)
What a cool car!
VERY Cool Ride... Heard a rumor that Henry Ford had the Dodge Brothers poisoned
There is so much more to the Dodge, both the brothers died within 18 months of the factory starting... think covid, the car was renowned for the particular engine note...tractor... that is a Kettering starter/generator only found on cadillacs, it was invented to solve the problem of broken bodies from the handle...expensive... invented by the same bloke that poisoned us with lead petrol, still all that came to nought until decent tyres were invented, for years the horse shoe nails were a major obsticale to motoring with the original soft non-baloon, tyres.
Dodge was amazing, oh yeh the chick that inherited... that ended in super tears!
Cool. Yeah, just like a 1961 Lincoln Continental with slab sides and suicide doors. 🤣
And she fires right off to boot!!
I would try to rebuild the old fuel system, hook it back up
Most of the time if it's actually running properly start in 2nd
Awesome car and very entertaining video, thanks! 👍
Trade you my 1953 Coronet for it .... hahhahha
今乗りたい気分でござる🏯
I'd develop that last photo and keep it with the other ones!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching.
A pressurized fuel tank? That seems rather dangerous
Is it safe to assume you'll bring it to the Spring Fling?
the original Dodge Brothers plaque from back in the day or is that a replica?
Hard to tell but it has the cars VIN on it so it looks original to us. This car had 2 owners for the first 75 years in a little town called Ojia CA which even today has a very small population. - T
What are the wheels in the first still picture ? They look strange ..... Also, does this mean you'll be doing the Hot Rod Power Tour next year...? :O ;)
We think the wheels were decorated for the 4th of July parade. Thanks for watching! - T
@@Challengeher Looks like Halloween costumes to me. Is that a skeleton in the front seat in that picture? Cool ride....
Elena what’s your favorite HD Truck? Hopefully Super Duty
Well, I'm kinda of a Cummins fan, but I've never met a big truck I didn't like. -es
Lots of rear legroom ...
Personally I blame squirrels.....
