    Hi! Thank you so much for this insightful video. I have a couple of questions. I am estrogen dominant (have a fibroid) and thought that flaxseeds were a no no for me due to estrogenic properties. Is this not true? Also, I happen to be allergic to both sesame seeds and sunflower seeds. Would it be okay to use chia seeds? Also, would supplemental vitamin d constitute a fish oil? Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with all of us. It's greatly appreciated!

    Thank you so much. I am so glad I came across your video. I haven’t had my period since December 2018. Before that it was always regular never missed my monthly period. Recently I am finding my body to ache a lot and I am now taking paracetamol.
    I will definitely try seed cycling.
    If anyone has other suggestions to reduce aches and pain then I would be grateful.

    Hi Dr Patty. Love this video! I had never heard seed cycling until I watched your video! Thank you for opening my eyes. I am going through perimenopause right now and my periods are very erratic. Some months I will skip my period entirely and then the next month I'll have two periods just one week apart. I am very excited to start the seed cycling and I have the intention of syncing with the moon cycles. Thank you and Dr. Angela so much for the great work you're doing with this channel! Your philosophy of giving your body natural, good, healthy tools to heal itself is so important and so needed in today's world! Keep up the great work! I so appreciate your videos, wisdom and advice.

    If I have low progesterone and low CM and am using EPO do you recommend still using it days 15-1? It was recommended to me to take the oils flip flopped and take EPO from day 1-15 or ovulation and then begin fish oil, and that is to help with CM specifically.

    • @PrettyWell
      @PrettyWell  5 років тому +2

      We want to release the lignans in the seeds and it’s hard to do that just by chewing. And especially when it comes to flaxseeds. Those will just go right through you whole and not digest at all due to the hard cellulose shell. You could potentially chew sunflower seeds REALLY well but grinding will release more of the therapeutic benefits.

In doing so I have regularly been taking evening primrose oil. My question is when incorporating it into seed/oil cycling shouldn't I be taking EPO in stage 1 of the cycle? CLF, I had been trying to get pregnant several years ago. I already had my first child at 39 and was in my early 40’s trying to have another child. Nothing worked for almost a year until I tried evening primrose oil. I got pregnant, and he’s now 12 years old! This was before I knew anything about seed cycling. Anyway, I just wanted to wish you all the best. If you plan on seed cycling with it, your chances will probably even be better. Good luck!

      Fat cells and ovaries (if you still have one or both) will continue to produce small amounts of hormone even after a hysterectomy and/or menopause so seed cycling will still be beneficial for balancing hormones.

    Love this information! Could you expand on the use of seed cycling for male hormones? Is there a way to naturally increase testosterone?

    What about women who don’t have periods due to a hysterectomy?
    I’m 50yrs old and I had a hysterectomy at 35. I do have my ovaries.
    Thank you

      You can use an ovulation strip to measure LH which occurs day 14 - this will let you know when you are in your luteal phase

    Why does it have to be ground? I am practicing the seed cycling for a few days now but i am eating whole pumpkin seeds. Is this wrong, and why?

      Ground is best to release all the lignans that help with the hormone balancing aspects. Unless you’re really chewing to the point of liquifying in your mouth, it’s hard to get the effect of it being ground. And it’s definitely hard to really chew whole flax seeds so each one gets ground up in your mouth. We’d recommend a little spice grinder from Goodwill or your local Target, Walmart, etc.

      I do it too. Flax seeds have a very hard shell and even if you eat the whole they can pass through your stommach without being digested, so those are necessary to grind. But pumpkin seeds I eat whole and enjoy it
