These videos are the benchmark to which aspiring UA-cam chess vloggers like myself strive. Thank you, yet again, for the clear, concise, enlightening commentary. "I hope you got something out of it," - indeed. Rest assured, we have.

Thanks for the video. I've seen many of your videos by now, and they are always good and entertaining, but most of all you seem to always answer the questions I can't seem to answer myself. Keep up the good work!

i think a smothered mate is when the king is blocked from moving out of check by its own pieces, anyway great video thx for uploading

I just noticed something: at 7:14, after Be3, couldn't Black avoid material lose with Nb3? White saves the R, then Black saves the N on b6. Or am I missing something?
Even if White captures Bxb6, Nxa1 and Qxa1, and material is equal, no?

Excellent as always but I still have a complaint. Can you please post the pgn in the description? It makes it a lot easier to follow the game and particularly to comment on it. Also it's easy to copy and paste it into a pgn file via, for example, Winboard.
It's such a shame that the play-offs are rapid format but your video highlights all the missed opportunities.

@buffguy86 Yeah, not a smothered mate at 5:56 (since King has vacant squares next to it.)

I just saw kasparov's and carlsen's game... i dont think kasparov has good sportsmanship or was it a "bad day" for him? (PS: either way they are both EXCELLENT players i cant beleive their processing skills especially carlsen's)
