Spot on. Nordics train hammies at a completely different tension than your typical curl machine. Important to have both

So what do each exercises do, why is it important to have both.

@@paladinheadquarters7776Different resistance profiles, strengthening knee flexors through all the ROM, more about health aspect than hypertrophy benefits actually

Nordic concentric forces you to be explosive and nordic eccentrics help knee health+hamstring durability(less hamstring sprains/tears)

Dude. Followed instantly. I blew my knee out at 23 and had surgery, now I feel like it’s never been right since. I can kinda do the same excercises at the same intensity I used to, but it feels like I need better movements and training ^^ like this. Thank you!

Stay at it it took about 2 months for me to do full extended hip version. Suggestion do hip thrusts and really get dwadlift lock out correct it helps stabilize your trunk for the nordics. Also do sets going up and down, just down, and then just up.

I just signed up to a gym. I'm trying to find pieces of equipment around the gym to do nordics. I see i need a band and something to hold my feet down. Those half medicine spheres (i don't know what they're called lol) and pads/mats are there.

Get a strap like I did from Amazon, the kind th at you feed the belt through and is secured with the club with teeth. Find a bench and wrap the strap around the bench and over your ankles. Work from there.

Sumo squats, lateral lunges, some sort of abduction, (bringing your leg to the inside against some sort of resistance.

Also the efficiency of your workout increases drastically if you dont do reps as fast as shown in the hamstring curl maschine clip here, using 80% momentum instead of muscle. One curl should take 4s minimum. Too fast reps only make reaching true muscular failure a much longer process cause momentum is doing the work for the muscle

Not at all if you work at your own level! In fact, they're great for your knee, again assuming you don't push too hard!

They can be, but your body will tell you something is wrong in the form of discomfort or pain. If you ease into them gently, starting with lots of volume on easier variations, progressing slowly into the difficult, never doing anything that hurts, they can be very beneficial for knee health in the long run.
