- A stagecoach bus decides not to slow down for a few obstructions up Filsham Road in St Leonard's on sea & goes on the wrong side of the road, round the wrong side of a traffic island approaching Gresham Way
Following many accidents on what's meant to be a 30mph road in a residential area they decided to put traffic Islands in to try n slow the traffic down!
A rather big vehicle thats likely to cause a lot of damage if it were to be involved in a collision. What was this driver thinking of???? .. . Captured at 18:55 on 12th August 2015 . . Bus Reg no. N386 LPN

one of their drivers drove straight at my cousin at Stirling bus station, despite the lights being against them. I haven't had that, but I've had one of their busses drive straight past me in Dunblane when I signaled for it, only for Stagecoach to claim they checked the CCTV on the bus and could see no footage of me trying to catch it, when I put in a complaint about it.

He was probably running late , most stagecoach drivers go 40 in 30’s when they are late , plus they get told off if they are late
Uhhh we don’t get told off if we’re late, we’re actually punished if we rush.. our motto is “better late than never” the managers and training school say you will never get in trouble for being on time or late, only if you’re early (leaving a timing point)

Stagecoach in Newcastle are worse. One bus route has to turn right at a small roundabout. Because there was traffic infront of him he decided to cut across the wrong side of the roundabout. Luckily their wasn't any oncoming traffic.
Not completely unheard of. Back in 2000 (idn what year it was) Arriva operated route 4 and from Maidstone to Hastings then the route got taken over by CountryLiner changed the number to 304 and 305, shortened the route to Hawkhurst. Then comes to the one today operated by Stagecoach on the same number.

Lives are "In our hands" are they? Look at the statistics. Car drivers kill and Murder more padestreans, cyclists, and other drivers more then any other road user. And when cars crash they kill all 5/7 occupants inside the car plus the number of any 3rd party involved. And they crash every minute. Buses and Coaches don't. My case rests here...

the parked cars are a long way back from the bollards , there are keep left arrows on the islands , its not an option its the rules of the road that you must follow! If a bus cant get through there then the driver shouldn't be on the road.. Theres been too many accidents on filsham road

Okay so at what stage did he do a dangerous manoeuvre you have to remember the bus is longer and larger than your car me being a bus driver I would of done exactly the same manoeuvre as he did when he went onto the wrong side of the road to ensure I wouldn't hit the parked car and secondly it didn't look like he was speeding unless you had a speed radar to state otherwise

It's two lanes... he saw the car approaching from the left and instead of squeezing through and maybe that car coming out and crashing into the bus, he or she just carried on at the right... there were no cars approaching, so how is this "dangerous"? Normal driving
Any experienced driver should know that to safely negotiate a tight or narrow space, you should slow down to a safe speed to get a more accurate judgement of the space you need to manouvre, you dont just carry on at the same speed and just barge your way through. That bus driver was 100% in the wrong in this video.
Filsham road is a residential area with a 30mph speed restriction with traffic calming measures to slow traffic down, its not designed for drivers to wrecklessly go round the wrong way around the bollards should they decide they dont want to slow down.
So at which point did he cause a issue obstruction or even a dangerous maneuver as there was no other vehicle there he took the easiest and safest route to ensure he doesn't hit the parked car when he went onto the wrong side of the road
But you were driving the same speed as the bus.Also he did wrong way the traffic island but he was overtaking parked cars. I don’t think it was that dangerous.

I had a Stagecoach bus hit me once.... at a bus stop with a metal shelter.
The bus mounted the pavement and drive right in to the shelter and push me to the floor and ran over my foot. Luckly the metal shelter got stuck into the bus front door hydrolics and stopped the bus before completly running over me and my child in a buggy. The bus reversed with a damaged front and front door and drove off down the street. The next bus came minutes later and called the police and ambulance. The police had to chase the bus and stop it with passagers aboard. The driver was drug alc tested and later sacked and charged by police. Stagecoach and management are totally fkrs and could not give a four x about it other than leave it up to the police to deal which the police did. Newspapers published it.

If it happens again just report the driver. He's sure to get fired because the moronic drivers get arrested/sacked because of their immature behaviour in the area. I acknowledge that you find it stupid but either way, Stagecoach bus drivers are always stupid. Because they're driving a bus police aren't allowed to pull them over because it would be a massive inconvenience for the passengers on board the bus.
If it happens again (like any dangerous driving I see) I will report the vehicle to the police . Trust me Police can pull over any vehicle if theres a need to.Its up to them to judge that really. I don't go round grassing on people but when someone is putting other road users at risk I don`t agree with it personally. People think that having a driving licence is a right but really I see it as a privilege. If they didn't wanna get pulled over or inconvenience their passenges then they shouldn't of been driving like it in the first place.

in reply to your comments 'hello hello ' - Yes the bus driver should be a professional driver but you do not need to be an 'arm chair expert' to know that driving in that manner is wrong. If you have a basic understanding of the road traffic act and the highway code you will know that it is illegal to drive around the wrong side of a keep left bollard and doing so is a road traffic offence.
You regularly get 44 tonne hgvs that go up and down filsham road where the offence took place that can safely negotiate the bollards without having to commit an offence but this bus driver cant?
A vehicle that size can do a lot of damage when things can go wrong so its imperative that its driven with respect and sticks to the rules of the highway code.
There is a junction immediately beyond the traffic calming bollards thus making this manouvre even more dangerous.
As a driver of a bus i know he couldn't have fit through that gap 😂
