  • We’ve leveled up our compost system after a storm dropped a limb and crushed our wooden pallet version. We are bomb proof now because we got our hands on Uline heavy duty plastic pallets that will outlive the fence surrounding it! We built it as a modular system that can be accessed by us from either side in a way that chickens will not escape and we don’t have to enter the chicken yard to move or flip the compost. The chickens help us break the material down while getting extra nutrition. Plus a little side compost bin that uses black soldier fly larvae to break down material and create more delicious protein for our chickens. We are so happy with this system! Forever Foods Farm. Mostly food items. This one had leftover chicken mash and coop cleanup pine and poop. Add just enough water to help start it and eventually they just show up. The bin has lots of holes originally for air.
