We should have compassion for the true innocents but that extends to both sides and the Patriarchate should be doing all it can to protect the innocent Gazans while working actively for the release of hostages, particularly the child hostages.

This seems similar to 9/11. The US citizens wanted the government to go after the terrorists and then they opportunistically invaded Iraq. You sound as if you think there's something wrong with Popes Pius X and Popes Pius Xl. Pope Pius X (also head of the Papal States) said he couldn't support Herzl's proposition that he publicly support his Jewish state proposition. All priest and bishops doing clerical work should be moved to a diocese where there is a shortage. Only the Cardinals and the Pope should be In the Vatican. The clergy mission is to lead the sheep not to do office jobs. All office jobs should by filled by professional Catholic laity. That should ease the shortgage.
Since former Anglican priests can become Catholic priests and still retain their families, why can't seminarians have the option of getting married before taking their final vows? I am a traditional Catholic and we have numerous vocations to the religious life. Novus Ordo Catholics are the one’s struggling with lack of priests. To save the church we need to turn back to tradition. Pray for Pope Francis’s conversion, because he is a heretic, evil and a modernist.

I have a question about your ratio of priest to parishioners. Does the ratio provided for the United States include all the retired, priests and priest who otherwise no longer perform public ministry? I ask this because I saw another statistic that talked about how the total number of priests in the United States is actually deceptive just because so many are no longer active in ministry. Largely there’s a problem with aging out without replacement.
Agree... They have housing for these retired priests and provide for them until death. Are the counted in the total amount ? I don't know. I do know they are importing priests from other countries, they've been doing that for years.

Does the ratio provided for the United States include all the retired, priests and priest who otherwise no longer perform public ministry? I ask this because I saw another statistic that talked about how the total number of priests in the United States is actually deceptive just because so many are no longer active in ministry. Largely there’s a problem with aging out without replacement.
