- A reasonably priced 19mm mesh strap that isn't a waste of time and money.
I'd pay more for a more refined clasp but this will do very nicely for now!

Always liked a mesh bracelet.I have just 1 in my collection,a USSR made square case dress watch with a very thin mesh band bought around 1990.

Great video man! I was searching for a proper bracelet for my Seiko Kinetic and seeing how that bracelet looks on these 2 watches I think that Is what I look for (the Seiko is 21 mm...) anyways - Watchgecko offer some really nice bracelets - I got 2 other from them - the quality is very good!
Nice bracelets. I just bought the Longines Legend Diver on the milanese bracelet and the bracelet makes a huge difference in the way it looks.

Hey man, I hope you're well. Have you tried wearing the watch above the wrist bone? I'm sure watches will fit better, taking it from a 16mm to a 17 mm
The lack of safety lock seems a bit risky. Ever had the clasp come undone accidentally?
Go with an Omega branded from China on Etsy. That have a nice deployment clasp and feel as good as any miltat I’ve had. I’m afraid your gonna drop that beautiful Speedy.

The long side is approx.107mm and the short side(incl. clasp) is approx. 92mm

Is it better than strapcode
Nice looking bracelet. I wouldn't sorry about that gap though. I've noticed that 19mm is a tough find too. I've noticed that a lot of manufacturers have move to those collapsible end links so it's one strap to fit everything from 18mm - 22mm, which is great if you have an 18mm lug spacing. Once you cross that boundary, you have a universal fit, that looks tacky and is very obvious. You wouldn't think 1mm is a whole lot, and it really isn't. But when it's on a watch, it's easily spottable at distance. I'm looking for a bracelet for a 1986 Timex Q Illusion. It's still on its original 19mm Speidel Twist-O-Flex, which itself is still in perfect condition, but I want a two piece bracelet with this type of clasp. The only thing I'm not sold on is the pattern. I'd rather have a straight line pattern that runs parallel to the top and bottom edges of the housing, but it's not a "must have". The only "must have" is the proper lug spacing, and to a slightly lesser extent, the clasp.

If you had to pick one between these two watches, which one would it be? Are they the same dimensions (lug to lug) 🤔?
If I had to pick, I'd pick the Grand Seiko every time :) I relate more to the brand, the watch is more beautiful and it wears more comfortably for me.
That said, I love the Omega brand as well!
The lug to lug on the GS is about 46mm if I recall correctly. A significant amount shorter that the FOIS which is around 48mm

Hmm, the only strapcode I have is an old engineer bracelet. So I can't comment too much on this. It seems that Strapcode has upped their game as of late.
I really like the Gekota mesh but you should also have a look at Forstner Bands for something a bit different👍

The best way to use that kind of clasp is actually the other way round, as you suggest: the sliding pin is on the half bracelet which is mounted at 12 o'clock, and the closing clasp with the brand name is mounted at 6 o'clock. Not just you don't see the "gap", but additionally the removal of the watch is much better because you don't have the watch "fall" on the other side of the wrist, it just stays on your wrist and you pass a finger under the watch to take it into your hands, without any somersault.
The bracelet looks good on the omega the leather strap looks better on the grand seiko.

That's a great question, I've never had any hair pulling issues. But my wrist isn't that hairy. based on the pics you've posted, your wrist isn't that hairy either...Do you like for your watch to slide up and down your wrist a bit?
I really wanted a Staib level Milanese with a deployant clasp but they don't do a 19mm to my knowledge. I didn't expect for Staibs to pull hair lol
@@engineer_wannabe I also didn't expect that... It only happens at the both boarders of the bracelet, but already annoying enough. Usually I like to wear my watches a bit tighter.

I thought that the lug width of the speed master is 20mm? But the 19mm bracelet fits well.
This specific Speedmaster (FOiS) has a 19mm lug width.
