Auntie I love you. I too have picked up the pie with my hands and just shoved. ❤😂
Auntie makes me smile and laugh and everyone willing to introduce new foods to their families is amazing. I, too, pick up the pie with my hands if it has a flour crust, just like pizza slices.
Love this channel and all the participants.
Keep up the great work, channel.
Watching from Missouri, United States.
We LOVE you Auntie!!!
So happy they loved this one. It's very traditional in my family...💖
Any time you hear the word pie, you know it’s good.
I absolutely love that you enjoy our American recipes. It makes me happy that you want the recipe and will make it! Since watching this channel, I have added Curry to some of my dishes! I love all of you!!
If Auntie Sobia watched the video of her in fast motion 😂.
So happy you each enjoyed this dessert! One of my favorite pies. Maybe someday you all can try lemon meringue pie! It would be fun to watch a video of Naveed making the sweet potato pie and serving it to his family and their reactions!👌👌👌👌👌
Naveed! I also get happy making food for my family! I hope you get to make it for them and they love it!
I love sweet potato pie as long as it is not overly sugared. Enjoy, Auntie Sobia.
Here is something I made almost every week as a Postgrad student. I made the dish to last me a couple of days in the fridge, but it never lasted the evening on my floor when people smelled it.
Take a large bag of Salt & Vinegar Crisps/Chips, put aside. Get a large can of Baked Beans, Put them aside. Fry 2 lbs of nice minced Beef (you could easily use mutton like a Shepherds pie). You can put onions in if you like, I didn't as a student. Once you cooked the meat, get a casserole dish, pout the big can of beans on the bottom, then layer the meat on top and crumble a good covering quantity of the crisps crumbled on top, you can also put lumps of cheese in the covering, I have put cheese, chopped chillis, even Raises once - it's just a crunchy topping. Stick that in oven for 30 mins or so to heat and bubble through. It is just a dish of food for guys on their own (PhD science students). Lasts one a few days in your fridge, or about 15 min when the rest of the crew on your floor come sniffing about. Most of mine were microbiologists, mycologists and computer engineers (the diversity plan then) so they weren't very fussy hahahahha. I called it Caveman Crunch. I think I saw the recipe on the back of a Crisps packet when I was a school?
In the USA if a person (usually a girl or woman) is pleasant and has a kind heart they are called a sweetie pie. Auntie is obviously a sweetie pie.
I love sweet potato pie! So glad you all enjoyed a great dish!
I KNOW THEY WILL LOVE THIS!~
Teach them to make. Wonderful dish
You can also make it with coconut flakes mixed in.
It would be very helpful and interesting to see the reaction of the individuals who are taste testing the food items on how the items are made that way they can familiarize themselves with what they're eating.
Enjoy!
Sweet Potato Pie:
Ingredients: Pie Crust, Sweet Potatoes, Butter, Cinnamon, Brown Sugar
Enjoy
I love sweet potato pie. This was my choice for my birthday, instead of cake. Didn't actually get sweet potato pie for my birthday until I became an adult and made it for myself.
My birthday is in July and where I live now, no air conditioner so no baking for me in summer. So I just stopped celebrating my birthday since I can't make my favorite foods and prices are too high. I'll probably just make waffles topped with homemade strawberry compote and homemade whipped cream this year.
This is one they too should be able to make, themselves at home, yes?
i love watching you guys try all kinds of foods from around the world but you guys should do a video of some of your countries dishes. so us foreigners know what to eat if we visit your country or a pakistani restaurant in our country
Good timing! Thanksgiving is only six months away! 😜
I know!!
Pumpkin and sweet potato pie are my all time favorite, no whipped cream, nothing just the pie
We also have baked or grilled sweet potatoes here. I like to put cinnamon butter and chocolate hummus on a baked sweet potato. Do they have hummus there? The sweet versions obviously don't have garlic lol.
I'm happy they like it or love it but honestly I don't like it, I'm a pumpkin pie lover
Never heard of it and not sure about it to be honest❤🍀🍀🍀
Seriously? You're missing out!
@@joantrotter3005 to be honest I'm not really a lover of sweet potato anyway.♥️
I am a bit confused. What language are they speaking?
If you can get pecans, You should make pecan pie for the tribal people.
The question is really "How many dishes did the world introduce to America???" A lot of the American dishes you taste were influenced or created by our immigrant population. Which is from everywhere!!! USA has been called the great "melting pot" of global culture.
Sweet potatoes are from South America but were already grown in North America by the Indians before Christopher Columbus first landed here.
@@Bowhunters6go8xz6xMy comment was about recipes, not native flora or other local foodstuffs.
Also "Indians" is not a good look.
Sweet potato pie is the bomb. What!? No whipped cream? You didn't serve it right. Make it again and seeve with whipped cream. Oops. I see that teeny weeny dollop. You need twice as much whipped cream. Silly people.
Food is very subjective. You love the combo taste. If I use whipped cream (very seldom), I only use a small amount on my pumpkin or sweet potato pie because I like the taste of the filling more than the cream. It varies from person to person or family to family. If I eat cake, I prefer it with no frosting, too.
@@My2ndnephew lol. Cake without frosting is a muffin. Doesn't that make muffins healthy. Lol.
@@Only-me-baby-tf9km I also love naked muffins. I'm a sucker for cinnamon rolls.
@@My2ndnephew oh yes. I've been watching videos and even bought yeast. Going to buy butter and brown sugar later today. I'm going to try making them tomorrow. I'm excited.
@@Only-me-baby-tf9km Be careful, homemade cinny rolls are addictive, ha!
I’m in my 50s and I still can’t tell the difference between sweet potato pie and pumpkin pie. They taste too much a like.
