We can never thank these young men enough. Simply put, we enjoy our lives today, we say what we want, we di whatever we want to do, because of their sacrifices. Most important importantly, they all volunteered. Truly the the greatest generation.
These young men give us our freedom Don t forget it Give their lives on beach but they kept on going forward don t forget them . Say a prayer for them and thank them for our freedom for giving up their lives for us
♥️♥️♥️ An eternal gratitude for these young American soldiers and allies who died for the freedom of Europe. Their memory remains engraved in our hearts. True heroes who sacrificed everything for our future by losing theirs. Love, love, love. ♥️♥️♥️
who died for the freedom of Europe ... sure ? maybe they died for new weapons new technologie. new rocket technologie read the diary of roosvelt but the humans will never change. go to war and have some fun
Yes, awful. My dad fought in the European Theater and was part of the occupational forces in Germany after. He would have been sickened by what happened 1-6-2000 and to see how fascism has taken hold
I am 54 now, been coming to Normandy since I was 7 !! I have been all over the area, UK and US. You reached out and touch me when you got upset because you didn’t have flowers 🌹 bless you 🌹🌹I am from the Uk ❤️❤️🥰
I spent two tours of duty in Europe. I have visited this one and several others. The overwhelming silence, in the face of the ocean sound is deafening. Ten Thousand graves Ten Thousand names.... Ten Thousand home towns Ten Thousand futures that will never be told. Dirk Tassent, you did us proud. You did us right. From this old tired veteran, I thank you for this. *Salute*
I served across the channel, one tour in England, RAF Bentwaters / Woodbridge, 1972-74. I got to see the AAF memorials at other bases in honor of the airmen that never came home.
So heartbreaking these young soldiers never made it back home. Their sacrifice enabled us to live in freedom and peace. God Bless everyone of them and all our allies who served in WWII. “For your tomorrow we gave our today” . Thank you😢 to a truly great generation.❤🙏🇬🇧
.My wife and I were there for the 75th anniversary of D Day. Found the grave of a man who was my father's friend. There were in the same rifle company in the 29th division
Just got back from Normandy. The courage of all of these men is incomprehensible. I have read so many first hand accounts of the fighting to just wonder how they did what they did. I know it was to not let their buddies down but the incredible guts shown is something I cannot imagine.
So moving, when I reflect on the world today,I think of these Brave patriots, and the Sacrifice they made.It makes me so proud.Marine Viet Vet.Semper Fi.🇺🇸✝️
Il vostro sacrificio A ridato speranza al mondo .Mai Mai nessuno che ha il senso della pace e liberta' ,vi dimentichera' .Onore a voi x sempre....AAAttenti
Americans today need to know what these brave men did so the people of today can live in peace and freedom and understand that America is the reason the world is better off today then in 1944 and these graves are a permanent reminder for us and history and that’s all never forget god bless them and thank you
Never take your freedom for granted Even today we are seeing young men die in Ukraine we will always have evil But when we have evil good men and women will fight it and pay the price just as the men and women here paid the price
Indeed it is! as with all the others in the Westhoek, around Ypres, that is. Thanks also for the intrest in my clip. you should also check out teh other clips about Normandy. Greetings, Dirk
Dad went in on the third wave at Normandy, I don't remember which beach, he was with the 91st Division. He was a math major in college and figured his chances at thirty seconds once the ramp fell. He survived from D-Day through to VE-Day. Until the day he passed, when asked about the war all he'd say was he was living on borrowed time ... from those that never came home. I now understand that statement. He passed back in 1980. That hymn should be played at every veteran's memorial. It's fitting for such an occasion.
Ernie Pyle once wrote: "I guess it doesn't make any difference once a man has gone. Medals and speeches and victories are nothing to them anymore. They died and others lived and nobody knows why it is so. There's nothing we can do for the ones beneath the wooden crosses, except perhaps to pause and murmur, 'Thanks, pal.'"
Was this flight approved by the authorities, or did you just do it? I cannot image flying drones over these locations are allowed for average joe and his hobby drone?
So this is my question I could probably answer it myself anyway, when soldier passes, it’s just like a mere thought. Yep soldier dies today but they don’t get the same thing that when a president dies Congress dies, they get this big parade so long can carriage the whole by each branch my dad when he died and my dad died he was part of World War II. he was a staff sergeant in the army Air Force as a pilot. He just got a flag in the mail, saying thank you for his service and then next move on really really he could’ve been buried out at Arlington, but he chose to be buried next to his parents, a small town of Mason, New Hampshire, and that was that close with my nephew died. nothing really happened with that the military didn’t want them anymore try to get help that didn’t happen so I ended up taking his life? when did we stop caring? Someone gives their life for our freedom, and nothing happens to the process. This is what I don’t understand my dad, my nephew, they fight in the war and that’s it.
The youth of this generation especially the woke entitled generation should take a trip to see what the cost of freedom really is. Next time LeBum, don’t kneel during our anthem. You dishonor these men and your name as well

My father was in WW2 and very proud of him and yes they were the greatest of our time very well put ❤
@@Anonymous-ff5wrMine too, served under Patton. They were the best!
Some are saying, acting and hating so much that they young men sacrifices were pointless
Visited the cemetery in 1995. Very moving and beautiful. May they rest in peace.

poor boys , if they saw what's happening today to both their country and Europe.

My wife and I visited Normandy and this cemetery several months ago. Very moving and this video brought back memories of that visit. Thank you.
No greater love hath man than to lay down his life for a friend. RIP brave soldiers.
God love my Dad. T-Sgt. RES, 10th Moutain Division, Medical Battalion. Dad was a medic. I miss him so very much. Your son. DRS / RVN Vet.

Thank you France for giving our heroes a peaceful resting place
Not always fond of our relationship for the last decades, but it is the least we can do for those fallen heroes
Thanks USA you prevent USSR to take over us.

Nos sauveurs ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
May God bless these heroes and their families!!!
We deserve a government worthy of their sacrifice.
Please keep politics out of this picture.
We certainly need a strong worthy government , but we do not deserve one, as we have all stood by and watched the carnage of modern madness unfold,
We are the government make it last
Keep the political crap out of this. These men do not deserve it.
I was there in september its so beautiful yet so touching
Rest in peace young men🕊️🕊️

Wow, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SEDVICE! John P.
May they rest in the peace that they didn't find here on earth. Lord please keep them under your wing for they have suffered enough.
All their dreams, all their tomorrows gifted by them to the American People.
What is the music ? Haunting and beautiful.
Hymn to the fallen - John Williams
Forever young!
Someone send this to LSU. Maybe they will show up for the National Anthem next time.
We proudly salute this Greatest Generation.
Donald Trump calls them "losers".
Your choice?
They gave yesterday so we could have tomorrow
